Before you start;

Mods are usually downloaded in zip files but they could also be be in rar files. If you don't have Winrar or 7 Zip it is suggested you download them. They will be useful in the future as well.

It is also recommended that you have your computer set up to view file extensions so that you know when you have a .rar or a .zip etc. Click HERE to find out how to view file extensions on your computer.

=======================

1. If the Mod has an .exe file you can use that and then skip to step 3

2. If the mod doesn't have an .exe file but instead is just a folder; copy or drag the folder into;

For Vista: C:\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\mods

For XP: C:\Documents and settings\username\My Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\mods

If done correctly you should see the folder with the mods name.

3. Now you need to start the mod. There are various ways of doing this. If the mod added a shortcut to the desktop you can just use that. If there's no shortcut then you can eject the DVD and then put it back in. Then wait for the CNC3 window to appear.

If you downloaded the game.....why? Then you'll need THIS FILE on your desktop to get that first page to open.

4.
When the game window comes up you should see the following options; "PLAY" "GAME BROWSER" "CHECK FOR UPDATES" "VISIT WEBSITE" etc.

5. Click "GAME BROWSER"

6. Now you should see a tabbed menu appear on top of the previous window. The first tab shows replays (if you have any) but you need to click on the "Mods" tab.

7. You should now see the mod listed that you copied into your Mods folder. If you don't it means that you copied it to the wrong place and need to go back and put it in the right place. Alternatively you just copied the zip/rar file without extracting it.

8. Click on the mod you want to play with and then "Launch Game". The game will then start. Not all mods customise the menu screen so it may appear that nothing is different at first, but when you start playing look for a change that you know the mod has made.
