First you need to copy over the files for the KW version of Worldbuilder;

1) Explore to the Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath game disc
2) Open the folder named Worldbuilder on the root of the game
disc's directory
3) Copy the files WORLDBUILDER.EXE and CNC3_WB_1.0.CFG to the
directory in which you installed Command & Conquer 3: Kane's
Wrath
4) To start Worldbuilder, browse to the Command & Conquer 3:
Kane's Wrath install directory and run WORLDBUILDER.EXE

If it works the logo will be different (an orca) when WB loads. The icon is also different for WB.

To get the map converted do the following;

1. Open the map and then save as "mapname_(KW)". This just differentiates the map from the regular version and keeps your other version so that it works in vanilla CNC3.

2. Go to EDIT > EDIT MAP SETTINGS and rename the map in the "Map Name" field to "mapname_(KW)" so that it looks different in the map list to the other version (in case they are installed to the same place.

3. Go to EDIT > EDIT PLAYER LIST and then click "Add Skirmish Players" then click on any player listed in the top box (this refreshes the list and makes them show). You should see the sub-factions appear as skirmish players (ZOCOM, Black Hand etc) in the box at the top of the player list.

If they don't appear, delete a player that is not used like "skirmishNull" by highlighting it and then clicking "remove player". If the player was not being used by the map it will not give you a warning message. Then click "Add Skirmish Players" again and click on another player again to refresh the list.

You must see "Traveler 59" in the list to know that all sub-factions are added.

If it's an 8 player map and Traveler 59 isn't showing but you do see Player 1 though 8 showing in the player list, delete player 5 through 8 and then hit add skirmish player again. It may say that certain objects are associated with those players but delete anyway, unfortunately I cant see a way of having an 8 player map with all the subfactions enabled without deleting players 5-8 in the player list because there is a limit to how many players can be in there. If a map starts with structures already in 8 player's possession then it just wont work in KW. MegaPort is an example.

4. Click save

5. Then open a folder containing the original map files and copy the "mapname_art.tga" file across to the new map folder. Rename that file to "mapname_(KW)_art.tga"

6. Test the map especially using Traveller 59 to see if AI will work with all subfactions. Also check to see that an Intro message isn't missing - If it is there will be a massage at the start saying that something is missing at the top of the screen.

Make sure that the new KW map folder is in the right place and all should be good.
