But you know, where my theory is a bit dodgy: We must bear in mind that the CCC are merely a fancy GUI for the drivers.... there is actually NO difference between the actual drivers themselves - i mean between the CCC drivers and the regular Control Panel drivers. Except for the fact that CCC aparently uses more resources, which is never a good thing........

Oh, and by the way.... keep your eyes peeled for the next release of the ATI driver set. It contains the much fabled Open GL enhancments which now put ATI in the lead for the Doom 3 engine games...... amazing stuff. I have linked benchmarks in the tech section at BT Forums.... ;)

Yes, but fancy GUI = resource eater

I don't know guys - I would easily sacrifice some load time in order to get awesome frame rates... I've noticed that it takes a lot to get the X850 to slow down below 20 FPS - which means that games are gonna look damn sweet in the near future

Hey FX....yup T1 maybe ATI, but no other Xfire mobo can do it....so it's actually the Chinese, not the Canadians......I tell you, they know how to make a mobo.......but then again, you need a good chipset to do so as well. I will wait a loooong time before I'll look into buying an ATI chipset mobop, not because I don't trust them, but because it takes time to gain experience, and it takes mistakes as well......so we learn they say. They in any case withdraw that mobo, because of some problem, not too sure what it might be though......I love my DFI NF4 SLI DR...the board is rock solid, and I can push my system really far....and still stable.

Hehe, I was just teasin dude.... I know it was just DFI. I doubt ATI did it on purpose...... BUT BUT BUT, the mere fact that their onboard chipset is actually capable of allowing this kind of advancement from DFI, shows how robust it really is. :)
