Let me explain myself.

I have always loved PC's and gaming and all that. But before i started buying NAG in 2003 I wasn't really connected with other gamers... I was in my own little world playing games by myself and sometimes LANing with my brothers and few friends.

Then I started buying NAG and I saw that people actually put UV lights and cathodes etc in their PCs... I laughed and shook my head.

Then I actually noticed that it's a common occurence amongst gamers, pimping their cases... and I thought "Why???"

now - I'm coming clean to all of you "modders". I really don't see the point in spending bucks on the "shell" that contains your hardware.

Why not, instead of wasting cash on cosmetics, buy more hardware to improve your PC?

I really don't get it.

Dude, Put it like this. Why do you mod your car, if it's actually only the motor that counts? Why do Even the hottest woman put on makeup? TO LOOK HOTTER YOU FOOL!

It's a personal thing for me.I dont like bland stuff. I mean, Imagine what a Nissan Skyline would look like without its rear wing, and with wheelcaps. See my point?

I like it, cause its "me" Like I said, I hate bland and boring stuff. And implemented correctly, PC Lighting and modding can make your case look forking amazing.

Maybe I'm just not as rich as you guys...

cause man - i always need to upgrade and I can't afford making my PC look good. For what? To impress women? Dude...

And yeah - I don't see the point in those dudes modding their Corsa's and sh1te like that.

Sure - if you got a Subaru and have so much money that it's coming our your ears... go for it.

Do you guys mod your PC once you've run out of things to upgrade?

Hey SOE.....I'm with you. I will only sleeve my cables, and make my case look neat inside for airflow.....nothing more. And I've got so much options now for modding with my new hardware, but I'm 1stly very lazy when it comes to that stuff, and secondly, I don't see the point that much. As for those thjat do mod.....well the cases look bloody smart...really nice. I can't see much wrong with doing so, but I can't see myself doing so either.... I still believe, no matter what ppl say, lights inside a case do create heat, no matter if it's a cathode, or UV or whatever, and me being overclocking mad....well heat is my enema......

Ag in the end, it depends how each person see it....some like this, others like that and in the end we all live happily ever after...

I must agree with SOE on this one. I also think it is a waste of cash. But hell, I suppose... to each his own.

The only "modding" I would do would be to get water cooling and overclock the shyte out of my card and CPU.

OK before i get shot down:

Don't get me wrong. I saw mongs PC and I am stunned at how amazing it looks... I'd love a case like that.

I just can't see myself spending any money on it.

I'm adding a poll to this topic...

Yup Slagter.....heat is the enema of most ppl that want to overclock...... I'm glad to see you want to overclock. When I got my CPU, I didn't run it stock when I installed it...only checked if it worked, then clocked it up to 2.8Ghz, where as the stock speed was 2.4......I needed to do a burn in........the good old enema run

What kind of cooling do you have in your PC VP? I am keen on checking out some better cooling systems if I do my little "cooling mod".

Does this still count as on topic?

Um, not really... but anyways...

Ok... I started a new thread...

But what is the point of modding a case? I understand that it is purely aesthetic, but hell... How much cash do you actually waste on doing that? It is not like you can just sommer get another modded case later when you upgrade. You loose all that hard work and have to redo it!! What is the point?

I mean "cosmetic" modding and not performance mods.

and dude - it's the same point I'm trying to make. Why spend money on modding a corsa/pc when you could just buy a better car/pc ???
