War priest History: About 300 years befor the time of satharath (trev's world). the clerics of the different orders were seperated into two parts, the basic clerics, and the clerics that were made for the warfields, also known as war priests. War priests were the most combat trained clerics an order could ask for, dealing well within combat to match nearly the prowess of a fighter, and still maintain their spells. they have learned to use their wisdom beyond the capabiliteis of even a cleric, for combat, healind and inflicting wounds, and even with time becoming the right hand of their diety and order. Requirements: Ability to Turn Undead, Base Attack +5,Ability to Spontaneously cast Healing Spells Hit dice: D8 Skill points: 2+int
Status:Once per day A War Priest is able to use an ability similar to the Status spell. It affects one person per War Priest level and lasts 24 hours, All targets must be within 20ft of the War Priest when it is cast. Aura of Courage: As Paladin Sanctuary: Starting at the second level a War Priest can use the spell Sanctuary once per day which lasts 1round/War Priest level. At 5th level it can be used twice per day, and three times per day at 8th level. This Sanctuary affects an area equal to 5ft x War Priest level (Maximum of 50ft at level 5). Wisdom's Edge: A Wat Priest adds her wisdom modifier to healing spells recovery. Healing Hands:By touch, a War Priest can mend wounds to a total of War Priest+Cleric level x Wis modifier. Healing can be spread between multiple uses. Scriptures:By reading from a holy tome, a War Priest is able to inspire competence on the battle field. This confers a +2 damage to allies and a -1attack to enemies. This ability increases at level 4 to +4 -2 and at level 9 to +6 -3. This ability consumes one use of a Clerics use of Turn Undead, and lasts as long as the War Priest chants (can be disrupted like spell casting) +1/3 War Priest level/rounds after he stops chanting. Divine Retribution: As a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunities, a War Priest can strike a foe with divine energy. This deals +1dmg per War Priest level to the one attack (at full attack bonus) if it strikes. If it does, allies who witness this gain 1/2 War Pirest level to their damage for their next round. Healing Aura: By expending a use of his Turn Undead, a War Priest channels his healing energy to affect not only his target but anyone surrounding him as well. Any ally within 10ft of the War Priest gains 1/2 the healing energy used on the targeted ally. Should an ally be targeted for +50hp, all around the War Priest wound gain 25Hp recovery. |

No prestige class can be of 20 levels. Prestige classes come most commonly in 3, 5, 7, and 10 level variations. This needs massive work. There is not enough to make a player choose this class in my opinion. You should also post up the class based on 300; I would like to work on that one. Edit: Actually, this is over powered in comparison to the base cleric in the PHB. You may want to reduce the spell casting ability to allow the other abilities. Also, I do not like the recycling of old abilities. Make new abilities to make this class more unique than a Cleric/Barbarian. |
