As your light shines into it, it forms into a human composed on the silvery-liquid, with blades from the forearm down. It advances upon you, it's metallic eyes with no emotion. A living steel is the offspring of alchemical substances and metal, long in the mixing pot. Living steel are always created out of neglect of keeping alchemical substances from mixing with metals, most often Iron although you can find Living Steel that are bronze, copper, tin, or any other non-precious metal. It's body seems liquid, but can actually be as hard as a statue of Steel. Because of this, Living Steels' can both be deadly durable, and are able to meld down so it can pass through a hole as small as 1 inch in diameter. It can imitate anything in shape as it has seen before, but it cannot make it's volume smaller or larger than it's natural size. It can gain natural attacks of the imitated create and their speeds, though not special movements such as swimming, flying, or climbing. They are found in abandoned laboratories most often, but can become wanderers and be found in caves or lurking around where they can find plenty of metal. Harden: Any spell or ability with the [Cold] Descriptor causes the Living steel to fall under the effect of a Slow spell for 1d6 rounds. It also allows weapons with no magical properties to bypass its damage reduction. Amorphous: A living steel has no determinable anatomy. It cannot be sneak-attacked or critically hit. They can morph to fit through holes as small as 1cm in diameter. Liquify: Any spell or ability with the [Fire] Descriptor causes the living steel to fall under the effect of a Haste Spell for 1d6 Rounds. It also restricts weapons with less than a +2 magical bonus from bypassing its damage reduction. Limited Polymorph: A living steel can take a standard action to morph into another form. It takes a full-round action if they have been hardened or a Free action if they have been liquefied. They can take any form with the same mass as the living steel. They cannot mimic color, sounds, special abilities, or any other aspect of the shape other than speed and natural attacks. Dissolving: This ability allows a Living Steel to increase his HD by dissolving metals into his body. This process takes 8 hours of consecutive contact with 10lbs worth of metal. After this time, the metal is completely dissolved and the living steel gains 1HD. It can increase it's HD up to a total of 15HD. Once it gains its 15th HD, it splits into a second Living Steel with 5HD and the original back down to 10HD. The new Living steel Immediately leaves to find it's own place to harvest metal. A Living Steel can dissolve magical metals if the metal does not make it's saving throw. |

I have a question, would it be possible to make a Living steel bow? or is it just restricted to melee weapon subtypes? |
Words are a waste of time. Destruction is a language everyone understands.

The actual "Bow" parts are wooden, not metal. |

True, though I guess making the mechanic for the blades themself is difficult enough anyways. |
