Yes, but if peoplee "loose" their money pouches always while near this one inn, wouldn't you think it would bring bad publicity?

but still they would have to go and see what the plant is holding, curisoity. the human from the way i understand only loses the money pouch when taking a closer look at the plant and what its holding.

Not even. That is only a lure, if it can, the theif plant will try to grab the money pouch without loosing it's gem. I hope you realize you are making no sense. You are telling me you would want one in front of an inn so that it would steal for the innkeep, my argument is that no one would go to that inn anymore because it would have a reputation of stolen pouches.

ok dude it's an idea and the plant doesnt always have to be out in the open the innkeep if smart would put it away somewhere for a time and thats even if they can find one to buy. like i said it's an idea it may or maynot work.

Again, liam made a very good point; the innkeep himself could not retrive the items because the vine would not let him, it is also smart enough to realize if the items are missing and may end up becoming angered.

dude like i said before it was an idea, and aren't there ways to subdue the plant? even for a short period of time like putting it "asleep" and it wouldn't know who took the items but your the DM and this is just a suggestion it your decsion to imply it or not.

I suppose if... No actually not. Plants are immune to sleep and paralysis and thos are the best methods. Also, it wouldn't mean anything to the theif vine WHO took it's syuff, it would just be very angry. I don't really agree with the idea, but if you can think of a good way to make it work, go ahead.

Very possible. The vine does not really care from who it gets more shineys from, it just wants them. More likely is that it will try to steal the money from both of you.
