------------------------------------The Gladiator--------------------------------------------

The confines of a ring, the cheer of the crowd, and the ability to put on a show are all well-known to the gladiator. Being a gladiator happens in many many ways, either by being a slave to the ring leader, selling your ability to a ring leader, or just having alot of allies around when you fight in the wilderness. When a gladiator is trained in the ring, he is taught techniques, while one who is not trained learns quickly how to please his crowd and learns that he must adapt to each battle diffrently. Gladiators are most commonly found being slaves in a collesum, working and winning for show in hopes that their shows bring in enough revenue to pay whatever debt they may have had. Some fighters find that fighting in a collesum is just more convinent than going around the country side, and thus usually take a few levels into gladiator. The last and least common way to find a gladiator is with a warband. These gladiators don't need to have ever been in contact with a collesum, for they learn their galdiatorial skills from dares, bets, and cheers from their allies. NPC gladiators are often chaotic, since it usually takes some free-spirtedness to be able to fight while putting on a show. Gladiators are often bards, sorcerers, or fighters before they gain their levels in gladiator, though other mixes are not unheard of.

Battle Show: A gladiator can have Preform(Gladiator) as a class skill and is able to make money on the daily basis much like a bard playing his music.
DC15: Commoners bet on your ability. You gain 1d10cp per won battle.
DC20: Land owners and wealthy commoners bet on your abilities. You gain 2d10cp per won battle.
DC25:Artisans and crafters bet on your abilities. You gain 1d10sp per battle won.
DC30: High-end Artisans and crafters bet on your abilities. you gain 2d10sp per battle won.
DC35: The wealthy and lower royalty bet on your abilities. You gain 1d10gp per battle won.
DC40: Kings and queens come to your preformaces and bet on your ability. You may be noticed by planar beings who are interested in your skill. You gain 2d10gp per battle won.

Battle Cheering: The gladiator gains bonuses to attack and damage equal to his gladiator level as long as there are as many people cheering as the amount of bonus.

Throw Sand: A gladiator is able to use the sand or earth around him as a form of attack. This ability allows the gladiator it inflict a blinding effect on a enemy by throwing sand in it's eyes. The gladiator makes a ranged touch attack and if sucessful, the opponent is blinded for 1d4 rounds. This attack has a range of 10ft.

Canny Defense: The gladiator is able to add his charisma modifer to his armor class when not wearing armor or a shield. The maximum bonus is equal the gladiators level.

Defensive Roll: A gladiator can roll with a potentially leathal blow to take less damage from the attack. Once per day, when the gladiator would be reduced to 0hit points or less by damage in combat he can attempt to roll with the damage. He makes a reflex throw DC=damage dealt and if sucessful takes only half damage. The gladiator must be aware of the attack and ale to react to execute this ability.

Gladiatorial Fighting: From your training as experience as a gladiator, you are more adept at getting the response you want from the crowd. You add your gladiator level to your Preform(gladiator) skill.

Fear Eater: A gladiator is able to surpress fear as long as he has one person cheering him on. This ability supresses magical, special, and supernatural abilities that may cause fear.

Hopeful Fumble: A gadiator is able to roll a tumble check to attempt to correct a missed step or a dropped weapon. The DC for this tumble is 10+damage last recived-Charisma modifier. If sucessful, the gladiator retains his weapon and is treated as if he had not fumbled. He does, however, still lose any actions he may have had during that round.

A kobold Gladiator would be a formitable foe with 10 kobolds cheering hm on, and that I am willing to bet on. Fear eater was one of the first ideas to come to mind. Also, any other abilities that can be suggested or modified are welcome.

i have a couple
trip...you trip your foe :o
gladiator finish this require either 2 1 handed weapons or a 1 handed weapon in your hand and a 1 handed weapon in your opponent's hand. the gladiator stabs his blades (or takes one of the opponents blades and stabs it and his) into an opponent, then takes them out and scissors the opponents head off. this drives the crowd nuts, and can only be done when the opponent is dazed or has sand in his eyes.
DC: 15 + gladiator level reflex and take 2d6 damage

Soon this will grow into a 10level PrC. I like trip, except for the fact it is a feat in the monster manual. I will look into that. As for gladiator finish, I do not like it at all. Much gladiatorial fighting in my campaign world is set-up and clean, so this ability would be useless.
