----------------------------Shadow Stalker------------------------------------------------- Being able to hide and sneak is an important ability for any rogue and they often use shadows and darkness to their advantage. While rogues can only use shadows, and Shadow Stalker learns to embrace and become a shadow. Being a shadow stalker isn't so much a class to be taught, but more a class one develops and discovers on his own. Shadow stalkers are often rogues or asassins who have traveled to the plane of shadow for some other reason rather than to become a shadow stalker. Once there, they see the power of shadows, and start their study of how the plane works. A shadow stalker is most commonly a loner, a hired killer or scout. Occationally, shadow stalkers become leaders in rogue guilds, either on the material plane or the shadow plane. HD:6 Requirements: hide8 ranks, move silently8 ranks, knowledge (the planes)[shadow]4 ranks, base attack bonus of +4, Sneak Attack 1d6 Alignment:any Special: Traveled to the plane of shadow for more than 24 hours skills: as rogue skill points: 6+int
Shadow Stride: Not unlike a druids ability to tree stride, shadow stride allows you to move via shadows. the shadow must be large enough to accomodate your size and so must the shadow you are traveling to. You must also be able to see the shadow you are travelling to (magically or physically). You can use this ability equal to your shadow stalker level times per day. Sneak attack: As rogue ability. Hide in plain sight: The shadow stalker is able to hide in shadows and darkness with amazing ability. A shadow stalker is able to hide even when observed, as long as their is a shadow within 5 feet. Shadow Self: A shadow stalker is able to detach his own shadow and move it as he would his own body. This shadow self cannot do anything but move, though it can still hear, see, smell, and feel. A shadow self is returned to it's owner if it is noticed, or if it is trapped in an area without shadow. A shadow stalker can use this ability once at level 2 and an additional time every two levels. Each shadow can be used for 10minutes/2 Shadow Stalker levels (maximum 1 and a half hours 5 times a day at level 10). Darkness: The shadow stalker is able to call forth the darkness from which is adores. A shadow stalker is able to cast darkness at a caster level equal to one third of his shadow stalker level for an amount of times a day equal to half it's shadow stalker level. Shadow Form: A shadow stalker is ablt to become one with his shadow, loosing his physical form for a time. In shadow form, a shadow stalker cannot attack or execute any action that would need a physical action. In shadow form, he can move over any surface at full speed, and can move across walls and floors at double speed. A shadow stalker in shadow form must always be in a place in which there is shadows. If a shadow stalker in shadow form has light shone on it, it will be forced into the next nearest shadowy area. If there are no shadows in the area, the shadow stalker is ejected from it's current place into it's physical form and is dealt 5d10 damage. A shadow stalker in shadow form can choose to use a death attack while in shadow form (same as an assassins). When this ability is used, they duration for the shadow form automatically expires. this ability lasts for 10minutes per shadow stalker level. You can use this ability once per day at level 5, twice at level 7, and three times at level 9. Undetectable: The shadow stalker at this level always has a shadowy aura around him. He is also supremely capable at being unnoticed. This gives him a +5 to hide, move silently. this increases to +10 while in shadow form. Shadow Soul: The shadow stalker is now connected partially to the shadow plane, giving him a 10% miss chance to AC. |

Shadow stalker eh? seems like a Class Eldon might fancy o.o The abiltys are good well thought out also Liam maybe you should look at the charts...? They are made for a reason..also Sam you might want to make an effort to "respect" others . The chart MAY have been unclear so §am it gives you no right to insult/disrespect people o.o anyways! I like it its well ballanced not to cheap nor is it a push over class...o.o I'll be keeping my eyes on it. :D |
Words are a waste of time. Destruction is a language everyone understands.

heh i almost always keep my eyes OFF the charts..dont know quite why yet. yeah looks like a fun class to play as, its similar to the shadowdancer. going into the shadow plane might be a bit of a challenge for Sylvak if hell have to do it again (he did it once to make shadow darts) |

Technically Sylvak never did go to the shadow plane... I mean, your character does not know a person named Raul, nor did he ever acquire a shadow dart. Hell, at this idea, you'd be able to do ANYTHING with your character before you even started adventuring. The idea is you become famous and well known AFTER you've played a campagin. Anyways... |
