Cool and I'm happy for them. Originally this was slated to be a WB (or whatever station they are now) show. Must be too good for that craptastic channel.

there was a symbol in the art of the dead guys apartment. a large curve with two lines that shaped kind of an art deco F. I noticed it in the digital code on the hard drive the prof's son and that girl found.

-------------------------------------------

Mysterious Ways was a Canadian/American television drama series that first aired in 2000. It was created by Peter O'Fallon, but was written and directed by a number of people. It was cancelled in 2002 after just two seasons.

The series focuses on the search for explanations of, and evidence for, seemingly miraculous phenomena. This search is carried out by the protagonist Declan Dunn (Adrian Pasdar). Dunn is a professor of anthropology at the Northern University of Oregon and is often compared with Indiana Jones due to his energetic enthusiasm for solving a mystery. His passion for miraculous events has its roots in a self-experienced mischance of him being buried under an avalanche and getting out alive. He considers this to be miraculous and attributes it as the turning point in his life. In several episodes he makes references to this event and the impact it had on his life.

Always ready to help out with the research, though sometimes they appear slightly reluctant, are Dunn's close friends Dr. Peggy Fowler (Rae Dawn Chong), a psychiatrist at a nearby hospital, and Miranda Feigelsteen (Alisen Down), a physics graduate student and Dunn's research assistant. Fowler is the most levelheaded of the three and is generally the one presenting the mundane alternatives to Dunn's theories.

Often being assigned to carry out tests of various substances, or operating a range of instruments, is Feigelsteen. She is the second skeptic besides Fowler, with a somber and introvert personality, sometimes with moments of joking banter or sarcastic comments. However, in the episodes "The Ties That Bind" (1.08) and "Free Spirit" (2.14) another, more open side of her is shown before her social peers, if only temporarily. Being the quiet personality, Feigelsteen is sometimes somewhat of a mystery even to her best friends. When Fowler said she didn't understand her, Dunn suggested that doubling one's own IQ and adding black velvet was a good start.

In many cases the episodes conclude with a rational explanation being seemingly validated, then disproven at the last minute; thus leaving the question of paranormal activity open once more.

Despite many fans pushing for it, the series has as of September, 2006 not been released on DVD.

Cast

So....

SPOILER ALERT

I firmly believe that the Nuclear Explosion will be from our own Gov't. I foresee the Heroes finally arriving to thwart the 'Villain(s)' who are gonna touch off the Nuke... to discover that it is the U.S. Gov't.

I think the U.S. would do this to stop the spread of Mutation, or to stop the Big Bad Guy of the Series (brain eater?), or to stop the spread of a plague created by super powers....

**Spoiler**

no, Nikki's husband isn't the hollow-guy. he's the Shadowcat-guy!

Cara totally called it about that shorthaired girl being a pawn of Syler. Tonight's episode was ok. I'm starting to get bored of this show and give my geekness over to LOST. That show still has it.

Cara and I stopped watching Heroes after the above post. Rob burned all of season 1 on to disk for us to watch and we'll probably get to it sometime, because he said it got awesome. But I have bad news about the show:

Quote:

Fanboys worldwide were getting themselves hot and bothered over the announced "Heroes: Origins" TV series that NBC announced earlier this summer. Not just because it was a "Heroes" spinoff but because they had convinced Kevin Smith and Eli Roth to write and direct episodes. Well, prepare to be let down. Before one episode had even gone before cameras, "Origins" is no more. The Hollywood Reporter sez that NBC has cancelled "Heroes: Origins" and has no plans to air any of the six episodes. Why, you ask? For one, money. With the strike looming, it seems NBC is trying to reallocate some funds for reality/news programming that can be created without WGA writers. If you needed another reason, all you have to do is watch the current season of "Heroes." It's been widely criticized for, well, sucking and ratings have dropped to record low numbers. All this is presumably leading to lower "Heroes" enthusiasm than where we were over the summer when Smith and Roth were hired and Quentin Tarantino was offered (he turned it down). It's unclear whether Smith and Roth's scripts were finished and if they'd ever make it online but it's disappointing that we won't see these guys take on the "Heroes"-verse. Perhaps it's better than the "Heroes" guys fix what's wrong with Season 2 before they start worrying about a spinoff...

we don't follow Heroes. But I thought this was kind of cool...
Heroes season four: more casting news

Meanwhile, Darth Maul himself could be thrown into the mix too, with Ray Park apparently in negotiations to appear in the show. According to a report at Entertainment Weekly, there's not much information on the character that he's reportedly pencilled in to play, short of it'll have a "sizeable arc". Sounds painful.
