The Ravens made the Green & Gold look absolutely impotent yesterday. To the Packer fans on the board, what are your thoughts for Mr. Favre and his future? |

Try one more year. Only because we should have all the starters back next year. But that's it. Go out with grace. |

Taken from today's Red Eye: People talk about Favre as if he immediately will get his AARP card after retiring from the NFL, yet he's only 36. John Elway won two Super Bowls after his 37th birthday, completing 59 percent of his passes over his last three seasons. Joe Montana made the Pro Bowl for the Kansas City Chiefs at 37. Warren Moon played nine seasons after turning 36, throwing for 21,646 yards, 134 touchdowns and 100 interceptions for four teams in that span. None of those quarterbacks was in better physical condition than Favre at the same age. |

Totally, he's only 36. He just needs to be surrounded with better players. He's aging and it shows. I think one more year wouldn't be hard at all for him. Rookies and 2nd class offensive lineman have made all the difference on him this year. He just doesn't have the time. |

Fair points all. Yet the team drafts a QB last year. Assuming that the Packers lose the last one or two games this year, what do you do? Mr. Rogers didn't exactly light the world on fire Monday night. So do those of you expect Mr. Rodgers to start against the Bears this Sunday??? |

And break Favre's starting streak? That's funny. |

Favre will get the start no matter what. As long as he's breathing he's the better QB. Rodgers though will need to get his feet wet at some point. Maybe if the game is totally unwinable by mid 4th, put him in. It take a minimum of 3 years to develop a QB for the NFL, some shorter because they're genetically born to it, Manning brothers, and some longer because they relied on one thing too much and it developed one are, Culpepper. 3 years is based on the NFL average of developing a bonafide starting QB. |

I think Favre will egt the starts the rest of the season. I think it will really be up to him as to how much he plays this year. The season is a wash but every td, every start, every completion, every attempt, get him closer to #1 all time. There is no possible way that these things aren't going through Favre's mind. He's too much of a competitor for it not to bother him to go out number 2. |

If they don't start Favre and break his consecutive start string, I'll become a Viking fan! |

It couldn't have been put any better! Except I'd probably dive into the Bears pool of mediocrity before I jumped into the land of Purple Pride. |

Mr. Spud the Bears rule and they will show that this weekend when they stomp, Mr. Farve and the injuried ice Pac. Yet I do pray that they let Mr. Farve leave the field in one peice on Sunday. And just as Snydes know's once your a Bears fan you bleed Navy Blue and Orange. |

Indeed I do you person who I do not know, indeed I do. (It was nice, being down in FL amongst other like minded football fans for an evening. Apparently my Tourette's is not exclusive to myself when the Monsters of the Midway do something stupid. Family is great that way.) I say it's 60-40 to the good Favre comes back next season......Who do they play next week? |
