Go bears. I hope Favre comes back for one more year. To prove us all wrong. What a hack. Did you see that f*cker's head snap when he got duched from behind? That was awesome.

Vikes win again... yea.

Can't wait for the ass whoppin' we going to get on New Years Day.

The Bears victory over the Packers was a boost for people like me who cheer on the Bears. A victory at the shatty Dome against the Queens would be phenomenomal...........

I don't expect it, but I'll take it....

Please, you haven't seen a qurterback that good up there in...well.....FOREVER! Not even your fullbacks can block as good as Favre!
When he retires, the NFL will be losing, arguably, the best QB of all time. The starts my decades long depression.

Err... Joe Montana, George Blanda, Roger Staubach, Dan Marino, et all.

Brett is great, but he isn't omnipotent...

Hey, I'm a little biased here and know that, which is why I stated that it's arguable. Here's how than man stacks up against the best of all time (and he's still playing!):
(Marino played 17 seasons to Favre's now 15)

Career Passing yds: 2nd only to Marino (Needs 8,637 more to be #1)

Career Passing attempts: 2nd only to Marino (Needs 897 more to be #1)

Career Completions: 2nd only to Marino (Needs 376 more to be #1)

Career TD passes: 2nd only to Marino (Needs 26 more to be #1)

Career Wins: 3rd behind Marino and Elway (Needs 12 more to be #1)

Consecutive games started (by any player): 4th overall, 1st as QB

* Is also the NFL's only 3-time MVP

I will also point out that Favre has a Super Bowl ring that Marino never received. You can argue all day about it but if Favre plays two more seasons (as many as Marino) he'll inevitably move to number #1 on most of that list.

Brett is good, I'll give you that and I'll eventually honor on my wall of heroes. But, seriously even though he's good at those little flicks and quick last second tosses, he's not that great of a purist. In fact and I know this will sting a lot, Jake Plummer is better. However being an incredible leader, top 10 in throwing arms (has lost a little), can take a hit, he's a phenominal QB. I wouldn't call him the brighest either when it comes to the brain of the game. But, if there was a measure (and I seperate the two) for QB street smarts, it seems he's had it since day 1. This is what makes him invaluable.

I'm sure you might think there is some holes in that arguement, but he's in my top 10, towards the bottom, but he's there. He could be better. And throw around all the stats you want, bottom line, it's who I'd rather be playing with that's more important to me then outright statistics.

Out of curiosity, what hasn't Brett done in his career that you'd like to see him accomplish? Another comeback victory? Another Super Bowl win? Another MVP? Before Brett became a Packer I believed Dan Marino to be the greatest of all time and was probably the best player ever to not get a Super Bowl ring but after Brett's 15 seasons in the league (14 with GB) he has done everything Dan did and more. He throws too many picks and sometimes tries to fit balls into places that should not have even been attempted....but that's what makes me love him even more. He's always trying to get the upper hand or an egde on the game and has never quit on a play, on a game, or a season in his entire career!
Imagine now, that he has been a Viking for 14 seasons and lead the Vikes to two Supwr Bowls. Now does he climb your proverbial ladder?!

As much as we shove acolades at Mr. Favre, the long and short of it is the following:

Without a viable offensive target, Brett is the same as Jeff Garcia, loft it up and see what happens.....

He gets a free pass because he plays in a small market if you ask me.........

Let's take a look at that for second. Favre came to the Pack in '92 off a trade with Atlanta. Since then these are his Pro-Bowl receivers: Sterling Sharpe: WR(92-94), Mark Chmura: TE(95, 97,98), Keith Jackson: TE(96), Bubba Franks: TE(01-03), Donald Driver: WR(02), and Javon Walker: WR(04).
So Brett has only had a stand out wide receiver in 5 of his 14 years with Green Bay as the rest of the selections were tight ends.
Now let's look at Marino shall we. Mark Clayton was selected to the Pro Bowl on 4 occasions and Mark Duper went 3 times. That's just two wide receivers and we've already surpassed the selections that Favre has been able to play with. You add Irving Fryar (2 selections to Pro Bowl) and Nat Moore into the equation (Moore went in 77 when Marino was not the team but played through '86-Marino came on in '83) and you've got a serius arsenal. I left McDuffie out because he never went to the Pro Bowl despite setting the Dolphins receiving record in '98 with 90 receptions.

Not sure what else I'd like to see him accomplish. That's a tough question. He's good I'll give you that. But for me, being a former offensive lineman and o-line coach, I'm very lineman minded. There's something to a QB that I have to be attracted to. I'm just not with him.

My all time favorite is Joe Montana. Well crap-a-roonie, here's the official Wally top 10 QB list.

1. Joe Montana
2. John Elway
3. Dan Marino
4. Steve Young
5. Jeff George (has nothing to do with MN Vikings days, I've followed him since Ohio State days and I'm a die hard fan).
6. Peyton Manning
7. Brett Favre
8. Jim Kelly
9. Trent Green
10. Dan Fouts

I have to say, I'm amazed Tarkenton didn't make that list!

Well albeit he could wing it and scramble like a mad man, I don't think he's the brightest of QB's. Especially when I see him on infomercials.

Stupid Pack! What's this winning crap?! Don't you realize that your pissing away your chances at Reggie Bush with every damn win you get while Houston holds tight to their emblem of "Lose now, win later" mentality
