Theories About Train Hijack Revealed The Wizarding community responds to what happened earlier this week. Saturday, December 1st 2018 “Earlier this week, the Wizarding World received its second great shock in eighteen years. Almost three months ago we were subject to the death of our Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour, a loss that can still be strongly felt by family and friends and those that had had the honor to work with him. Now, more families are suffering due to the loss of three Hogwarts students. Marshall Crown, a 16 year old Gryffindor, Casey Livingston, a 13 year old Ravenclaw, and Cameron Potter, 14 year old Hufflepuff son of Harry Potter, were found dead, killed by the Unforgivable Killing Curse. The Crown and Livingston families were unable to be found for comment as they are both Muggle families and the Potter family has not yet been available to contact. Alayna Potter was at the scene of her brother’s death. “While the deaths are tragic and disheartening, one must wonder how this could have occurred. Eighteen years ago, Harry Potter himself vanquished the self-proclaimed Dark Lord Voldemort…or did he? Since this past summer, rumors have been spreading that the death of the Minister was caused by recluse Death Eaters and since then, suspicious activity had been occurring more often. There is little to no doubt that the Death Eaters have returned. However, the question remains about whether or not Voldemort will make another reappearance. The Order of the Phoenix, which became public ten years ago, reassures the public that Voldemort will not terrorize the Wizarding World ever again. Other citizens feel differently. Rachel Everson, owner of the apothecary located in Diagon Alley, sent in the following: “Yesterday, the Daily Prophet received a message that focused on Harry Potter. They claimed that he was the cause of all that is going wrong with the Wizarding World and that he was the reason of the train hijacking, despite losing one of his own sons in the accident. “So what was the cause of the train hijacking? Can Harry Potter truly be put to blame? The Ministry of Magic, in their recent press release, apologized for their negligence and have stated that they will be attempting to step up the level of protection around the Wizarding World. Rumors are also being spread that Benecia Jonesy, the new Minister of Magic, was overheard expressing her own rather distasteful opinion of Harry Potter. What is the truth behind this turmoil that has been thrown upon our world? We can only hope that a leader will rise to this challenge.” |
