Twenty-nine years ago Voldemort hatched a plan that he was convinced would ensure the prosperity of pureblooded wizards. He created a compound in a remote section of England where all willing participants of pure and halfblood birth were factory workers of sorts. In essence, their goal was to create as many children of noble birth as possible, and those few women who had gotten themselves into a spot of trouble and were carrying children eligible for being taken were welcomed as well. Babies were born and raised under the guidance of older women who had been retired out of the program [forty years of age being the maximum before cutting the woman off from childbirth, lest they risk any defects], who became teachers to the younger children, ensuring that they learn how to walk, talk, use the bathroom, and stuffed their heads full of the proper things, like the importance of maintaining pureblood ethics, etiquette and spotless manners. Some of these children were adopted to pureblood, Death Eaters families, while others remained in the compound. Already under the guise of an orphanage, it was no trouble telling these children that’s exactly what they were. However, like Death Eaters, these children were marked before they were old enough to remember the tattooing process and the place chosen was one that could easily be hidden under a mane of hair. Shaved bald while still toddlers, these children had a three-pointed crown written into their skin in green ink [a symbol of their elite status], below the top of their heads and just above the nape of their neck, and kept separate from other children until enough hair had grown over the mark to hide it. At age eleven these children received their letters to attend Hogwarts and, thusly, were sent off, returning to the orphanage for the summer holidays only. Those students who were chosen to stay [mostly boys though some girls were chosen if it was found that they were barren] were schooled in the compound in more then just your run-of-the-mill spells, hexes, potions, plants, and animals. These children had every possible lesson you could imagine crammed into their brains. On top of the normal curriculum, they were also taught the art of dueling and other such tactics necessary for what Voldemort had in store for them, including hand-to-hand combat [but only as a last resort should anything occur beforehand to de-wand them]. They were taught how to survive away from civilization if the need to hide ever presented itself. They were kept underground, under the compound, and became virtual killing machines under the guidance of skilled Death Eaters, many murderers and people high up on the Pureblood Food Chain. Along with the crown above the hairline on their neck, a snake was added at a later date while they were held unconscious by way of spell, and a snake was added in black ink, entwined with the three-point crown. But this method of ensuring pureblood reign began to die after a good run. However, the ‘orphanage’ remained running. The concept wasn’t abandoned completely and only recently did the desire to revive it come around… ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sangre Purus = "Pure blood" in Latin These children will be available for playing. Canons will be added to the list, but feel free to make your own originals that fit the profile. Make sure to make a note on the application that you want them to be a part of this group so we can see if their personality fits. Character ages should range from 17-19 only and they can be in any house simply because they were taught to emulate different house characteristic. However, they are all truly Slytherins/Dark/Evil at heart. They are simply able to model the behaviour of other houses and trick the Hat. |
