Professor
Frankie woke up and looked at the clock. It was fuckin' five o'clock in the morning. This just wasn't right for her to be up this early on a saterday. Things like this just didn't happen to her. She has never woken up early in her life, no scratch that. The only time she has ever woken up this early was on her twenty-first birthday, and it was worth it. The boys and her went to the local pub and got so drunk she couldn't find her apartment which was right across the street. Good times, very good times.

Letting her feet touch the cold stone floor she jumped back into her fluffy bed. The teacher beds were much more comfortable than the student beds, and it was much bigger too. Slowly she slipped her feet into a pair of fuzzy slippers and dragged her way over to her closet. Frankie didn't think that it would be appropriate to go to breakfast in a short satin sleeping gown, but it was soo soft on her skin. Looking through her closet she decieded to give the rest of the staff a heart attack. Pulling out a pair of her brother's old kaki shorts that went just below her knees and a fitted t-shirt that read "If you can't play with the big boys, get off the pitch", she made her way towards the bathroom.

Hopping in the freezing cold water she took the quickest bath ever and shaved. Applying ample make up and brushing her teeth, she slipped in her clothes and stuck her feet into her favorite DC shoes. And now she was off to breakfast, even though it was only five thrity. Why did she have to wake up so god damn early she will never know. Passing the Great Hall Frankie noticed the house elfs didn't even have the plates out yet. So she shurgged her shoulders and made her way out onto the grounds.

It wasn't long before she came upon the Quidditch pitch. She could remember the practices, games, and the fun she had as if it was yesterday. If only she could rekindle those days, but Frankie remembered something about not supposed to be playing around on the pitch like children. But since she did she listen to every little thing that teachers said. Who cared if she was one now? Summing her broom, it wasn't long before Frankie was zooming around the pitch with the wind in her hair.

Marco had come out to the pitch very early this morning, earlier than he normally would have. Since he got back to Hogwarts a few weeks ago, Marco had been getting up at three thirty every morning and staying at the pitch until right before sunrise. With recent events in his life he couldn't stay in the sunlight that much no matter how much research he did to find some sort of potion that could make a vampire sun screen whatever. He loved the quidditch pitch and was even on the house team, but now he wouldn't be able to play anymore. Not unless every game he played ended up being in the rain and the suns rays were blocked by clouds and he could be safe to play. Though Marco figured it would take a miracle for that too ever happen.

So there he sat, in the shadows of the bleachers somewhere in the middle. The spot was just perfect so that if the sun did come up and he didn't notice right away, it wouldn't burn him too badly. And lying next to him, just in case, was he winter robe that he could use to cover himself as he dashed back to the safety of the school's halls. Those were his safe haven during the day, that and the classrooms as long as he stayed away from the windows. During the night he could come out all he want and not worry about getting burned to a crisp by the sun. The night was his home now and Marco hadn't found the courage to accept that yet. He was still trying to hold on to the life he once had, the life he had before he was turned into a vampire. He couldn't admit it to himself that he was apart of the undead world now, it was just too hard to accept all at once.

Though with him being a vampire, Marco could pick up sounds better and he suddenly heard the clapping of feet making their way to the feild. Grabbing his cloak and moving farther back into the shadows so the person, female by the scent of the person, wouldn't see him and think he was stalking or something else. He wasn't in the mood to have someone scream their head off by his sudden appearance or that he had been standing there for who knew how long. But as he scanned the feild to see who was out there, Marco took a sharp intake of breath (like he really needed it) when he saw who it was. Seeing Professor Sheffield on the pitch wasn't something he was expecting and it suprised him that he hadn't reconized her scent, especially because he had been spending so much time with her lately. He felt bad having lied to her about his distant uncle being turned into a vampire when he really didn't have a distant uncle at all.

Standing there and watching her made him calm his nerves a bit, but he was still wondering what she was doing out here this early. Normally none of the professors were up this early or even dared come out to the quidditch pitch either. When he saw her summon her broom, he couldn't help but move closer to the opening to see her better. A part of him felt jealous at the fact that she could fly in the sky during the day when he couldn't anymore. The only time he could was at night, when it was the safest point of the entire day for him. Taking a step off the bleachers, Marco wasn't watching where he was going and accidently walked into a stack of extra brooms someone had left out probably from the last flying class. Wonder why the professor hadn't put them away unless some students had come out here late last night and just forgot to hide the 'evidence'.

Circle, flip, dive, dodge. Circle, flip, dive, dodge. Circle, flip, dive, dodge. God she missed practicing and drilling with the quaffle in one hand and steering her broom with the other. When she was younger her life had revolved around the game but now Frankie didn't get to enjoy it like she used too. And she missed it so. It was one of the few things that actually gave her an adrenline rush. That was something she loved to feel ruining through her vains. When she was flying the only thing she could feel was the wind in her hair, her adrenline pumping, and the goal in front of her. Life was sweet on a broom.

Frankie started diving heading straight for the ground, and at the last moment she pulled the front of the broom up and let her feet glide across the ground. Leaning she fell off the broom, which landed right beside her. Slowly she got up laughing, trying to catch her breath from the rush and the slight fall, which she caused herself. Dusting the dirt and grass off her clothes she picked up her broom and slung it over her shoulder. The blonde didn't want to go in just yet now that she was outside. Looking around she saw a broom lying on the field, sticking out of the shadows.

She made her way over to the broom, only to find more than one and her favorite student with them. Smiling she approached Marco. They had been spending so much time together she now thought of him as more than a friend than a student. Okay, okay, she thought of him as more than a friend but he just wouldn't take the hint it would seem. It frustrated Frankie sometimes, but she knew that if she should keep to the rules she would keep her feelings to herself. But as always her thoughts were f*** the rules.

"What are you doing out here lurking in the shadows Marco? Breaking the rules?" she said with a sly smile. Frankie just had so much fun teasing him sometimes. It drove him crazy and it was just so amusing because he just got so cute when he was annoyed. God, she shouldn't be thinking that, but no matter what his mood was he was sexy. Even the brooding thing worked for him and it didn't work for most people.

Marco didn't know what to say when the professor had spotted him, he felt like he was glued to the spot once again. But he wasn't about to let that happen again. There were to many bad memories from standing so still and getting pulled into a trap, something his whole life basically was. Clearing his through and running a hand through his har, he stepped out of the shadows only to quickly step back in when he felt the heat of the sun already rising. Crap, he was late at getting back to the school and it was going to be harder with the professor around. He shouldn't have stayed out so late, then maybe he wouldn't have been caught by her and stuck in the shadows until she left.

Seeing that smile on her face only made his stomach do flips and the feeling came flying into him. He had to fight it, she was his teacher no matter how pretty she was. Nothing could happen between them, not even when he graduated. Marco planned to leave any traces of himself behind and go far away from those that know him. He didn't trust himself to be around the people he loved for fear of doing something horrible to them. And right now Professor Sheffield was apart of that group even though he wouldn't admit it. He could reconize the signs she gave him and he would love to act on them, but he pushed himself away from them and pretended not to notice. He didn't know what he would do if he finally stopped pushing away and moved forward to make his own actions known.

Blinking his eyes a bit, he cleared his through once more and ran a hand through his hair. Marco coudn't figure out what it was about the woman that drove him so insane. It could be the awareness that he could be with her because he woudn't ever get any older or change his appearance now that he was a vampire. A vampire. That was the other reason he didn't get to close to the professor, because of the fact that he was something she had been taught to kill if one seemed uncontrollable. And he didn't want to scare her away if he did decide to make a move on her. Which is something he desperatly wanted to do but just couldn't. She was his teacher, his friend, and it was against the rules. He didn't seem to care anymore if he got kicked out of Hogwarts because now that he was something different, an education really didn't matter that much. But he wasn't about to risk her job since she had just started this year. Marco didn't want that on his shoulders.

"Um...just a morning stroll that's all. I do it all the time profess...I mean Frankie." Marco said correcting himself real fast. He still hadn't quite gotten used to calling her by her first name when he called all his professors either Mr./Ms. whatever or Professor whatever. But Frankie had mentioned, if he remember correctly, the first time they had a late night meeting when Marco first started going to her for help on research. Every now and then he would call her Professor because he was so used to it. And then there was that smile of hers' again, the one that drove his insides insane. He took a deep breath and pretended to not notice the smile. God she drove him insane in so many ways that he shouldn't be letting this happen but once again there was just something about her that made that happen. And a part of him, the vampire part, kept telling him that it was lust and he had the woman trapped with it. He could smell it on her too whenever he stayed up late in the office going over books and other things about vampires.

Frankie couldn't help but smile as she watched his subtle signs of nervousness, clearing his throat, running his fingers through his hair. It was all just so cute and she couldn't help but have feelings towards him. She didn't know why she had let her feelings develop this far and them be this strong. It wasn't right. She was five years older than him and she was his teacher, but something inside her just didn't care anymore. All her heart wanted was to have his arms wrapped around her as they watched a movie, or wake up in the morning with his arm protectively around her pulling her close.

Every time she was around him she was tempted. If not by her sheer feelings to him it was her curiosity getting to her. She wanted to know why he was always so nervous or why he never made a move. And her ability of being a legimens could come in handy there, but that was an invasion of privacy and she couldn't do that to him. Frankie had to much respect and cared to much for him to ever do that without his permission. She just couldn't bring herself to do that to him, ever because she knows what it feels like and she didn't like that feeling.

The blonde frowned when he started to say professor but changed his mind. She hated to be called professor or Ms. because it made her sound old and she was not old. Well, not old enough to be referred to as that. Frankie told all her students to refer to her as either Frankie or Sheffield, but she wanted Marco to call her Frankie. It was more casual that way and hopefully it would help him to let his feelings out.

"Oh, do you now?" she said with a teasing voice. Frankie slowly stepped closer to him in hopes of some kind of reaction, a good reaction that is. She knew that it would take a lot of work to get him to open up, or at least do something that was remotely in the vicinity of what she wanted from him. Then again maybe Frankie had been reading it all wrong and he didn't have any feelings for her and she would end up making a fool out of herself.

Watching her face soon became a difficult task for Marco. All he wanted to do was close the space between them and kiss her, something he couldn't do no matter what. She was his teacher and he was her student, relationships were forbidden between teacher and student. But once he graduated, Marco knew that nothing still would happen between them because of the fact that he was a vampire. And no one but him and that Cordelia knew about it, but that girl only knew because she was a vampire as well. Besides he wasn't ready to tell anyone of the living that he was dead. If only he had the guts to tell Frankie than maybe things would be a bit better for him, Marco would have the guts to do something he shouldn't.

Moving his eyes from the ground up to her eyes, Marco noticed that she looked a bit confused or maybe that his own feelings. Those new 'powers' of his were kicking in again and he sensed something was going on with her but she gave off the feeling that she wasn't sure if she should do it. Then he was hit with something he couldn't explian but it made him more curious at what she was thinking. If his heart was beating, he figured it would be beating faster than a snitch could move as he stood there watching her think. To him, she look at peice but he couldn't help get this feeling that she was thinking about him in some way that was more than either a student or a friend.

He could see that she was a bit annoyed by how he almost called her professor. It was simple mistake and habit, Frankie couldn't expect all her students to suddenly call the hot Defense Against the Dark Arts professor by her first name with in the first couple weeks of school. But he tried to call her that in class but there were a few times where he accidently called her professor. This was one of those moments despite the fact that he caught himself. Marco wanted to get to know the real Frankie Sheffield, no professor or classroom around. Just the everyday Frankie like she had been all those years ago. But that pang of guilt for not telling her what he was now bothered him. Marco wanted to tell her, but just couldn't bare the thought of seeing her reaction.

"Frankie, out of curiousity....did you kill any vampires when you were an auror?" the question was out of his mouth before he could reall think about it. Marco figured she had killed a few and acted like everyone else in the world, see them as evil beings for having to live off of blood. He wondered if she saw him as just a regular guy that happened to want to learn so much about vampires or as something else. It bothered him not being able to have something with Frankie and always having to hide his real feelings for her. Marco knew the consequences but he was split in half when it came to caring about them. One part of him refuse to go that far with feeling them and accepting those feelings while the other side cared nothing about the consequences or what might happen if he took that step. Either way his vampire self was taking over his feelings for Frankie and causing him to get more confused about them.

When she walked closer to him, Marco sucked his breath in even though he didn't breath anymore. But feeling her that close almost made it impossible to not reach out to her and feel her skin under his hand. And that's exactly what his hand was doing, wrapping itself around her waist pulling her closer to him. He forgot all about the rules and the consequences, especially with her this close. All he cared about now was her and other things that involved her. Marco was letting that vampire in him take over and...it felt good. It felt really good not always thinking about the consequences or the negative outcomes. It was just all positive or not caring at all. "Maybe you could start joining me?" he said leaning close to her face. He had to hold himself back from kissing her, he wanted to pull her lust (if he could call it that) out more before making the complete move.

Frankie was taken back when he asked her if she killed any vampires during her time as an Auror. It wasn't a question she was expecting coming from Marco. She knew he was worried about his uncle but still that was an odd question. The blonde didn't want to offend him, but she wasn't sure how to answer him. If she told the truth Frankie didn't know if he would take it offensive or if he would understand. Of course there were some special cases to all of the things she was assigned to do as an Auror. Even if it was only for a year, the girl went through some very tramitizing things and she did things that she would have never thought of doing when she was younger. But it had just felt right and the time and she didn't regret it.

"Yes," she said truthfully. Frankie deiceded that she couldn't lie to Marco. It just didn't feel right and she wasn't going to do something that made her feel wrong. Plus she would feel guilty everytime she saw him. Of course she didn't know why she felt like it would hurt him if she had killed a vampire. It was a family member and it wasn't like she killed his uncle. Oh god, what if she did! No, no that's impossible right. "Of course there were some cases where I didn't kill them. I just had to question them, or detain them. You know not all vampires are pure evil and want to rid the world of all humanity. Some are just like you and me but have just had a run in with the worst kind of luck."

Frankie felt a giddy rush in her blood when she felt his arm wrap around her waist, and a shudder of excitement when he pulled her flush up agaisnt him. This was something that she had been dreaming of as of late and it was more amazing than she could ever imagine. The feel of her body molding to fit his was wonderful and it fit into his so easily. His arm around her waist was enough to make her knees buckle. God if just being this close to him was making her feel like this she couldn't imagine what it would feel like to kiss him. The fact that their relationship was forbidden totally left her mind with him this close and her mind totally focused on him. This had to be what heaven felt like.

When he asked her to start joining him she couldn't help but give him a smirk. This smirk was full of lust and something that was leaning towards more than that. "If they all end up like this I don't think I could say no," Frankie said leaning herself into him even more. Normally she would have felt like a whore or something, but with Marco everything felt so natural. Slowly her hands trailed up his chest and around his neck to play with the hairs on his neck. Her foot slowly rised into the traditional "pop", getting ready for the kiss that she hoped was coming.

Hearing her answer, Marco couldn't help but feel a bit hurt. It made him wonder what she would do once she found out he was a vampire, that was if she ever did find out. If he could he would make sure Frankie never found out about his...his new life or fully understand why he spent so much time researching all things about vampires. He wasn't about to give up on his dream of falling in love or having a family, Marco would adopt if that was the case to have a family. Sure it would seem weird to some people that a boy that looked seventeen had a little child running around calling him daddy and he didn't age over the years. Plus it would be hard having to explain to the child that their father would always be there no matter what and would never age. It was a sad thought, but Marco shoved it out of his head as he listened to the rest of what Frankie had to say.

*Lady, you have no idea how much bad luck I seem to get. And I'm not just like you.* Marco thought as he heard her words on vampires having the badest luck and being normal like them. His eyes seemed to show the saddness that his heart held at the thought of being a normal person with only one exception: never aging. It felt horrible to think that he might fall in love with Frankie and then see her run from him when she found out what he really was. He desperatly wanted to tell her but that still human side of him held back the words and he forced himself to not repeat them over and over in his head. "I must be one of those bad luck vam...I mean my uncle must be." he started to whisper but caught himself. How could he be so stupid as to say something like that? Especially with the whole moment they were having together! Marco had never been this close to a girl before and who cared if she was his teacher? He would be graduating this year and it wasn't like he could get with her or there would be a huge age difference.

Suddenly Marco got this wave of happiness from Frankie and couldn't help but smile brightly. He knew what she was feeling just by being this close and he could sense the hunger to kiss him. Besides that same hunger was in him, wanting to pull her closer and just kiss those soft lips of hers. It was like the world around him had melted away and only where they stood, holding each other was all that mattered. What was it about Francesca Sheffield that made him feel like something more than what he was? How could this woman cause things inside him to come alive that no other girl he had liked over the years react like this? Whatever it was about Frankie, it only made Marco love her more. Love her? Did he really love her or was it just something he wanted to feel? The way she smiled, the way her eyes seemed to glitter with excitment whenever she laughed, and so many other little things he spotted caused these feelings to happen. Yes, he was in love with her but it was all so confusing about if it was really love he felt. Sure he had dreamed of something like this happening to him, becoming the famous bad boy of the Hufflepuff house and getting the girl no one would expect him to get. Only this time, that girl he had to keep a secret in his life. Just like his vampirism, something that was chewing at him everyday since that horrid night.

Reaching up to rub his thumb against her chin, Marco leaned closer to her face matching her smirk. "Maybe they'll become even more exciting, who knows?" he whispered right before he closed that space between them. His stomach was doing somersaults as his lips brushed against hers. Pulling her close and letting out a soft sigh when he felt her arms move up his chest and wrap around his neck. Oh why did this feel so good? Was it because it was such a forbidden thing or was it because it was real? That what he felt for his professor was truelly real. Merlins' beard, class was going to be harder now. Especially when he would have to fight with his mind to concentrate on his work and not staring while smiling at Frankie. Marco moved his hand that rubbed against her chin up into her hair. It pulled her face closer to his and right away he knew that was a bit of a mistake. Something else inside him leapt to life and man did that feel good.

Okay know she was confused. Frankie rarely got confused because she normally had a good grasp on things and what was going on. But when it came to Marco everything got all fuzzy, inside and out. Her vision and intution was clouded by her heart. Her head told her to use her power and find out what was running through his head but her heart was telling her just let it be. He would tell her in time, but something just didn't feel right. Or maybe it felt too right. It was all so confusing and she just didn't know what to do anymore. That was a frist in her life too. She had always known what do to no matter what the problem or situation was, she always had an answer. Until now.

"What did you say?" she asked. Frankie couldn't hold it in any longer. She didn't want to pry but he had said something and she wanted to know what he said. Tilting her head she looked into his eyes with a worried expression. So many things and emotions were running through her mind the blonde couldn'd seem to settle on just one. She felt love and compasion, but also worriedness and confusion. How could a mere boy make her feel like this? But Frankie knew he wasn't a boy, he was a man and it would seem he has been one for a while now. It seemed like she was the only one that noticed what a fine young man he was becoming and she despritely wanted to see him finish maturing. Frankie wanted to be there for everything.

Smiling once again Frankie couldn't help but reply with a teasing remark, "Oo I like the sound of that." And then his lips touched hers and it was like the turn of the centry. The feel of his soft lips against hers caused a reaction that was much more than mere fireworks or any of those other examples. This was a feeling of love. Frankie knew that the moment his lips touched hers it was much more than lust. It was love and she knew it in her heart. It was an odd feeling because she had a secret of her own.

This was her first kiss. She knew that the handsome man on the other side of this kiss was more experienced. Even if it was just a little, but this was her first kiss. It was actually her first everything and needless to say it made her feel very embarrassed. Frankie was postive he could tell that it was her first and she just felt stupid. Here she was five years older than him and had mostly guy friends and this was her first kiss. It was definately something she would eventually have to tell him, but that made her feel even more uncomfortable because she did not like feeling stupid. Especially in front of someone she had strong feelings towards.

When his hand trailed from her chin up to tangle into her hair she felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew it had been so strong that Marco had to have felt it too. But he had pulled her head even closer to his she knew that it was about to get intense and it made Frankie excited. Pulling away for just a moment to catch her breath she couldn't help but let a "wow" slip from her lips. A tingling sensation was left on her lips and it made her feel even more special. Oh god she was corny.

He was in trouble now, he didn't need his vampire senses to tell him that. Just by the tone in her voice, Marco knew she was starting to wonder a bit more now and he needed to find a way to get those thoughts out of her head. He wasn't ready to tell his secret, not even to his own sister or his parents. That fear hadn't yet disappeared and neither had his fear of telling Frankie either. Sure he knew the words to tell them all but he wasn't ready for their reactions. Especially with Frankie now that he knew that she had indeed killed a few vampires and detained others. What would she do to him once she found out? Would she still accept the love he had for her or would she think it was all a ploy to get her to open up? Marco tried with all his heart to force those horrid thoughts from his head.

"Nothing, it doesn't matter." he muttered avoiding her eyes. He knew that if he looked at her he would cave like an infant. It was always like that for him, he couldn't keep a straight face when he stared into the eyes of the other person. That was one of his weaknesses, cracking under the gaze of the person he was lying to. He just hoped her professor insticts wouldn't kick in and catch him in the lie because that would be a recipe for chaos. He didn't want to hurt her or break her heart because it would be the same for him. Breaking his heart was something he never wanted to experience again, when he was first turned Marco had a broken heart for loosing his life and being cursed to walk forever in the night. If he could have stopped it he would have, but that vampire had used its power over him and changed him in the end. Images of the night found their way into his mind and Marco closed his eyes to block them out. There was no way he was going to let the woman he loved find out about what he was if he could stop it from being found out.

Suddenly he was hit with so much emotion from not only Frankie but from himself. He never knew a kiss like this would feel this way, so exciting and yet so...so forbidden. Yes this whole thing between them was forbidden but it was so wonderful. The feeling he got inside him was something he wanted to experience over and over again with Frankie. Not only did he feel the love from her, but he felt it inside him. And it made him wonder: could vampires feel love or just an impression of love? Either way Marco knew what he felt at this moment was the love he had for Frankie. The love he felt made all his worries go away as he stood there and kissed the woman he loved.

As all this was happening, one thought hit him Marco Crabbe was experiencing his first kiss as a vampire and with a teacher at that. How could this have happened to him? Was he wearing a sign that said 'Screw up my life more than it already is please' on his face that he didn't know about? This whole year for him has been one wacky thing after another. First he was diagnosed with OCD, then he died only to be brought back as one of the walking dead, his first love was a teacher that was five years older than him and now he was having his first kiss as a dead person that would look seventeen forever. Man did his life really suck for him. Marco wondered what other suprises he would have instored for him as the years went by. But he wasn't that embarresed like he thought he would be, since he kept getting the odd feeling of embarresment coming from her and he didn't know why. He figured she would have had her first kiss by now, not with one of her newest students.

When he felt her pull away a little and whisper one word, a smile appeared on his face. "You can say that again." he muttered as he played with a lock of her hair. His whole body felt like it was on fire and it wasn't because of the sun. The sun! What had he been thinking?! How could he have let this happened?! Pulling away from Frankie and glancing up at the sky, Marco saw that the sun was already half way over the horizan. "Bloody hell!" he grumbled as he made a grab for his cape. His hands didn't seem like they wanted to listen as he fumbled to wrap it around his body. If just one ray of the sun touched him he would be in pain and Marco didn't want Frankie to find out about what he was this way. He loved her too much to let her get hurt, especially at this moment considering they had both had their first kiss. He stopped to stare at her, pain and sadness flashing through his eyes. His mind wondered if she could see how sorry he was right now and his feet seemed not to want to move from his spot. He had to hurry back up to the school before the sun rose any higher but he didn't want to leave Frankie like this.

Nope, she didn't believe him. Maybe it was the teacher's instinct that said he wasn't telling the truth, or maybe it was because of how much she felt for him. It made Frankie a little sad when she thought that he couldn't trust her. She had hoped that he trusted her enough that he knew that he could tell her anything, but appearantly he didn't. It made her heart ache a little bit but she knew he had to have a good reason for not telling her right? That is what she convinced herself of for the moment at the least.

For some reason Frankie got the feeling that he could sense her embarrasment. She couldn't help but get the feeling that he did and that made her uneasy. The blonde could literally feel the heat rising to her cheeks making her blush something feirce. That was always another thing she didn't like about herself was that even though she didn't blush easily but when she did it made her whole face turn red. So it made it very easy for people to know when she was embarrassed and her friends took advantage of it quite often too.

"Okay then....wow," she repeated just a breathlessly as the first time. That kiss had definatly woken something in her that she wasn't ready for. Something told her that her relationship was going to be harder than it seemed and it already seemed that it was going to be difficult because of the student teacher relationship. Frankie just had an eerie feeling that something besides that was at work here and it was going to give her quite a shock. But she thought she was ready. Only time would prove she was wrong.

Frankie was in awe as he pushed her away and made a mad dash for his cape. She watched as he hastily threw it over himself and backed further away from her. What was going on with him? Nothing was adding up anymore with him. Her brain was so clouded over and her heart was pounding in her chest still. After all the training she had went through and the year in the field she couldn't wrap her head around this. That made her squirm in her seat, well if she was sitting down she'd be squirming in her seat. Frankie didn't like being out of the loop at all.

Marco looked up at her, their eyes connecting and she saw saddness and pain in his stare. Before she knew what she was doing Frankie had let her instincts take over and her eye contant became steady, unblinking. Suddenly she was in his memory, his thoughts. Frankie saw what he hadn't want her to see and as soon as she did her gaze broke and she stubbled back, back into the sunlight. The sunlight. That was what was wrong with him. He didn't get in before the sun came up. But she was too busy thinking about what she just saw.

Of all the things to happen, it had to be this? Was he that screwed up in life that much that every time a happy moment came along, something shot it back down? Well whatever was wrong with him was making an appearance now. He could tell that she didn't believe him and he felt bad that he didn't trust her enough to tell her the truth. He really wanted to, but Marco was terrified of reactions and he wanted a positive reaction from Frankie here. Not something he imagined his parents or sister would do, scream and never want to be near him again. But he got the feeling that wasn't going to happen here no matter what he said. His words would come out the same way and have the same reaction.

Watching her face turn a light shade of red, Marco wondered if his face would ever do that again. Then that hunger erupted in him and his ears picked up her heart beat. What a lovely heart beat it was, pumping all that blood through it. Shaking his head, Marco concentrated on something else; something that would distract his blood hunger from the thought of how good her blood tasted and how it felt running over his tongue. Damnit! Why was he loosing controll again? He couldn't do this here, not infront of Frankie and an ex-auror. It was just bad luck waiting to pop up on him and he had to think quickly on a plan of getting out of there. But that was proving harder than it sounded right now.

As he fumbled with his cape, Marco couldn't help but think about his trust and Frankie. He trusted her with all his heart yet he didn't trust her to tell her his secret. It was foolish to keep it from her and to think she might not accept him, but Marco wasn't all that sure of her reaction. That's what bothered him the most, the reaction. Would they think he was a new killer on the loose and evil like most wizards and muggles thought vampires to be? Or would she think he was just some unfortunate soul that was in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or something completely different? But the question was what reaction would she give other than something he would expect?

Marco suddenly felt this odd buzzing in his head and images from that night flashed through his mind. His head started to hurt as all those emotions went flooding through him. It didn't take him long to realize what was happening and what Frankie was doing. He had to stop it, had to block her from his mind but the pain and fear was too intense. This wasn't the way he wanted her to find out, this wasn't how he wanted her to know about what he was now. When the buzzing left his head and the pain slowly resided, he realized he had closed his eyes and fell to the ground resting on his knees. Marco managed to look up at Frankie and couldn't hide the anger in his eyes. What in the world possessed her to do that to him? What made her think he wouldn't have let her do that? How could she do something like that to him?

Seeing her step into the sunlight caused his heart to break, not only from knowing that she now knew what he was but also because that was the one place he couldn't go to. The sunlight was one of his few death certificates in Nature's form and Frankie seemed to know that. What would happen now? Would he be able to still see her? Marco figured he would see her in class but it wouldn't be the same anymore, especially after what they shared. "How could you? Who do you think you are to go barging into my head? See my private memories?" Marco asked as he slowly stood up, anger flying through him. He didn't want to say those words but he wanted to know why she had done that to him? Not only did she have no right to use Legilimens on him, but she could have just asked him with her whole heart and he would have told her the full truth.

"Frankie....I didn't mean for this to happen. You've got to understand...it wasn't my fault, I didn't plan for this to happen to me." he said taking a step closer to her but stayed safely in the shadows. Marco wanted her to know that he loved her and he didn't want this to have happened. This was the reaction he had feared from her and this too would forever stay in his memories. Seeing the woman he loved fear him and probably want nothing to do with him. "Like you said, not all vampires are evil and out to destroy the human kind. I'm not like that, I never want to be like that. I...I love you." Marco said holding his hand out just far enough so it looked like he was touching the borderline between shadows and light.

Frankie felt guilt surging through her every vain. She hadn't meant to do that to him because she knows what it felt like and it wasn't a pleasant feeling. To have someone invade your personal privacy is something that not only pisses you off but if you don't know how to fight it off it will hurt like hell. Legilimens is something that is considered dark by most wizards and it is for a good reason. It is something that isn't used in common soiciety and it was looked down upon in most every family. Most of the time people who used it were either trying to save someone or exteremly evil, but Frankie was neither of the two. It had just happened out of habit and she wished she could take it back and let him tell her own his own because it would have meant so much more.

She couldn't help but let a tear slip down her cheek when he asked her how could she. Every word was dripping with anger and it made her feel even more horrible. Frankie had never really been the one to cave under pressure but having him so angry at her just made her want to roll into the fetal position and cry. She wasn't the type to cry either, but something inside of her just wanted her to snap. Frankie couldn't let that get to her though she had to explain herself. "I...I didn't mean to Marco. I really didn't. It was just out of habit I guess," she said shrugging her shoulders. The young girl was trying her best not to cry anymore and hoped that her legs would hold up when she began to stand up. "I would have rather you told me.."she trailed off patheticly.

Listening to him try to explain himself she felt so sorry for him. She wanted to give him her pity and kiss him to make everything better. But for some reason her heart and her head told her that scenerio would not play out exactly like she would hope. So she kept her distance and let her emotions toy with her feelings and her facial features. Nothing, not one emotion could explain how Frankie felt at the moment. Her legs were buckling and rubbing her hands together she realized that her palms were sweeting. Things like this had never happened to her. Normally when she came across a vampire she would either stake him or take him in to the ministry, but not with Marco. He had nothing to do with that life and she didn't have to do anything to him. But all the fuzzy feelings she was having was just making her all the more confused.

He loved her. Marco loved her. Marco Crabbe loved Frankie Sheffield. A vampire loved an ex-auror, and she loves him back. It wasn't anythign that she had been expecting especially this early on, but she knew it was the truth. Stepping closer to him she also put her hand out and gently touched his. His skin on hers felt just like it had earlier when she thought he was human. When she thought of that, Frankie knew that nothing wgas different. He was still the man she fell in love with. "I love you too," she said stepping fully back into the shadows.

Holding his head as the pain slowly resided, Marco couldn't help but wonder how many times she had done that to other vampires. Ones that refuse to give up the information she needed or if how often she used it when she was an auror. It made Marco really think about what he was doing and what he was getting himself into. He could remember the lesson he had back in sixth year about those that had Legilimens were able to force their way into unblocked minds. And his was definatly unblocked and not thinking Frankie was able to do something like that. If his father found out he was weak to let some ex-auror in his mind, all hell would break loose in the Crabbe family. But did Marco really care about that? Not a single bit.

Seeing that tear fall down her cheek, Marco would have reached out to wipe it off but Frankie was too far into the sun. He would burn his hand off if he reached for her and he wasn't ready for more searing pain or loosing a limb for that matter. He wanted to shoot his vampire abilities as he felt the sadness coming from her and so much hurt. Marco hadn't meant to have so much anger in his voice when he said those things, that had been the vampire in him talking. Or was it really him? Anyone would be a little ticked off if someone had suddenly shoved their way into your mind and now he knew how that felt. And he never wanted to feel that again, he made a promise right there to learn Occulemens and make sure no one would be able to get into his head like that again. The pain was just too much for him.

"I wanted to tell you; I was scared. I--I didn't know how you would react to me...me being a vampire." there he said it, the truth and it didn't feel as bad as he thought it would. Maybe it was the fact that he had finally admitted that he was a vampire and he would always be one. A heavy weight had been lifted off of him...okay so it was still there since he still needed to find the courage to tell his sister and his parents. That would be the hardest one, telling them that their only son was dead and living a life of a vampire. But atleast he could say he got over one task, telling Frankie about the truth.

Closing his eyes, unable to bare the sight of watching her walk away from him Marco jumped a little when he felt her hand touch his. If his heart could leap for joy, it would be doing somersaults instead. Feeling her touch again opened the light once again for him and he knew that his life had once more changed. As she stepped fully into the shadows, Marco closed the space between them quickly. He wanted to feel her agains him again, feel her touch, be able look deeply into her eyes once more. But with all that, Marco knew that something would be different between them and he couldn't help but let that fear sink into him. The fear of being caught by others and having his secret pushed out into the world. Either way he atleast had the woman he loved, his own professor. And hearing those words from her only made his love for her grow stronger.

"Do you think we'll ever be together for real?" the question was out before he could stop it. It had been riding on his mind and his heart for the past couple minutes, wondering if this was all true or if it was just a dream. Could vampires even dream? Yes, he knew they could because he had had plenty of dreams. But this he knew wasn't yet part of him wanted it to be a dream.

Frankie couldn't help but smile through her tears when he himself actually told her that he was a vampire. It must have been a heavy burden for him to carry but she was glad he was able to tell her. Even if she did find out herself anyway. Because knowing someone knows and telling them yourself is two very different things, because when you say it outloud you are accepting it. Accepting was probably one of the hardest things to do too. People want others to accept them and when they themselves know that people won't accept their condition they hide it.

All she really wished was that she hadn't found out. Not because is scared her or made her love him even less. But because it would have been more special and she would feel more privaliged to know that Marco had felt comfortable enough to tell her himself. That would have meant the world to her, but it was out of the question so she would settle for what was left. There was still a lot they had to learn about each other and that was just fine with her. She hoped they would be able to have some normal couple stuff where they could sit and hold each other while talking and telling about their secrets, their dreams, and their problems.

Normal wasn't exactly on the menu for either of them though. And Frankie was willing to accept that and she knew that it would take work. Of course every relationshipe requires that the two can work and cope together, but they had a few more odds against them than the average couple. One for example would be his vampireism. That would cause a strain because while she was off in the light he couldn't be. They would have to be apart during the day and at night she would need her sleep, but she was determined to make it work.

The second is the fact that she is a teacher and he is a student. It was forbidden and it had even been said in the rules she recieved before accepting the job. But back then she would have never expected something like this to happen in her everyday life. Her smile was a little bit brighter and her step a little bit more...jumpier. And no she didn't care that that is not a word. Frankie was happy.

Sighing she didn't want to answer his question. It would be hard and difficult not to mention extremely looked down upon. But since when did she care? "Of course," she replied in a whisper. Her left hand stole to his waist and her right played with the shirt platered to his chest. Frankie wasn't sure how they could make it work. It was another time in her life that she was left without an answer. He was the one that always seemed to be able to do that to her. "We'll find a way. I promise." And with that she lightly pressed her lips to his.

((sorry it took so long))
