My name is Francesca Sheffield, but you can call me Frankie or Sheffield. No professor or Ms., I'm not that old. I am going to let you know now that I will not go easy on anyone for any reason. I will treat all my students exactly the same no matter what house and/or family you come from. My classes will test you in ways you may not be prepared for, but I was an Auror and have seen first hand what is going on in the world. Why is DADA important?: "Oh this is a simple question, its to teach us how to deal with the more dangerous things in the world. Not only do we learn how to defend ourselves but we learn the spells that could be dangerous to us. I just hope that you, Professor Sheffield, don't turn out like another Mad Eye Moody but I know you won't. Either way, Defense Against Dark Arts not only teaches us how to defend ourselves, but what to look for in someone that studies the Dark Arts or specific Dart Art things that could do us harm. Plus, she's not 100% sure what she wants to do once she graduates Hogwarts, so she's trying to take as many as she can. She understands how important the class is because there are always people out there to try and take advantage of you. Alayna got an 'O' on her O.W.L.s in this course.

Me ma' used to get a kick out of thinking I'd be an auror someday, be a hero and the like. Bull, at least to me; I like the career and all, but I'm not so sure I'm "cut out" for the job. I have but one solution to this bloody question, and that is simply that learning the "defense" against something that me ears seem to be hearing a lot about is rather good, eh? Rather useful, fitting, and "right". I'm not cut out to be an auror, or maybe I am? Who knows, really? All that I do know is that this class is one o' the best. The teacher is mighty fine, and I might just get a "kick" out of learnin' things in such a class. Me heart's in it, that's for sure, though I'm not so sure me future is. What you need to know is that I'm ready to do the best me own self can, hopefully get some good 'newts' along the way.'
