CHARACTER DOCUMENTATION Character Name: Genevieve Rae Albin Character Nickname: Gen, Gennie, Viv, Vivi, Vivid, Rae, Albin Character Age: 16 Character Year: Six House/Alumni: Gryffindor or Ravenclaw Physical Appearance: Genevieve has a natural hair color of blonde- almost gold, really- with, perhaps, a few highlights of a lighter blonde that are only occasionally visible. Neatly layered, and shoulder-blade length, Genevieve takes good care of her hair and could spend hours playing with it. For the most part, Genevieve wears her hair up, if only because she can't not play with it. She has neat 'swoosh' bangs that goes off to the right of her face with a normally uneven part that is a good two or so inches off to the right. Genevieve often lets her hair grow out to about her midback before cutting it, and doesn't re-highlight until it is cut, often giving a rather strange look to her hair when it really starts to grow out. She has an oval shaped face ending in a rather bold chin. Now, a face isn't a face without features. Genevieve has a rather normal forehead, with nothing really to say anything about, though, she does have a 'thing' for drawing on it when she's bored. A pair of light brown eyebrows, thin and natural, are often arched in amusement. Her eyes are a horizantal oval shape, wide-eyed and curious of the world around her. Her irises are a soft grey, lightly hinted with a blue color. Everyone has their, well, flaws, and Genevieve is convinced hers is her nose. Then again, Genevieve is convinced everyone's flaw is their nose. Hers is a normal nose, though, if there is one, slender with a pair of nostils. Nothing extraordinary or extrarepulsive about it. Then there are her pair of pale pink lips, full and soft, and hiding a pair of rather sharp teeth. Extremely healthy, and abnormally dangerous, perhaps because, as a child, Genevieve could have spent the entire day brushing her teeth. As for the reason, well, Genevieve thought it was fun... for some reason. Genevieve stands at roughly 5'8, half an inch give or take. She weighs about 134 pounds, which she deems a rather normal weight for her age. Her skin is a pale-ish color, tinged with tan, but only lightly giving it a different look. She is a rather slender girl, her arms are slender with slightly muscled biceps with firm wrists and long fingers with neatly trimmed nails. Long, slender legs, too, which are most of her height; Genevieve has deemed her legs the best part of her body. Her ankles, too, are firm, with a pair of size seven feet that she absolutely adores. Well, Genevieve doesn't adore them, but she isn't like some kind of foot-o-phobe, actually, Genevieve doesn't much mind feet unless they smell bad. She has a slim torso, with a medium length neck, and a little more than subtle curves. Makeup? Genevieve does where a bit of makeup. Mostly blush, eyeliner, and gloss, though. And a bit of toner, as well to make her skin a bit more of a peach color. Her eyeliner is thickly, but neatly, applied to her eyes in an almost Egyptian fashion, or perhaps it's just the strength of the color against her skin. Blush is applied, sometimes more obvious than others, but always equally distributed. Lipgloss is applied only lightly, and just enough for her own taste. Style? Genevieve's style is random to say the least. She has never had a set stereotype like others, but she doesn't blame it so much on her style. Her clothing varies from shorts and tanktops to clothes she made herself to suits and those cool canes for old people. People find it a little strange, but Genevieve doesn't much mind, but perhaps her strange-ness is what sets her apart. Genevieve also has an obsession with hats. Hats! Genevieve has tons of hats from baseball caps to top hats to hunting hats, if you name it, there should be no doubt that she has it. A strange one even in clothing, this one. Personality and Traits: To say Genevieve Albin was just another girl would be doing her a great injustice, and injustice just so happen to be what Genevieve resents most. Genevieve has always been one to bend the rules for her own beliefs- to do the right thing- in both school and outside Hogwarts' walls. One might call her an anarchist, and she is one, of sorts. She does not belief there should be no Ministry, but Genevieve does not believe the Ministry is just- to her, the government is worse than flies fighting over food. It's corrupt in her eyes. Some might say she has a big mouth, but not in the sense of a gossiper, the sixteen year old has a terrible habit of speaking out and saying her beliefs without a thought of consequence. Then again, she always has something to back up what she says; Genevieve never sounds like an idiot. Charismatic- her charisma is probably Genevieve's greatest weapon. Her sentences are always smooth as if she's spent hours planning them out and has given each word careful thought- rare, of course, for Gennie. With her charisma, Genevieve has a vivid imagination, and she spends evenings telling first years stories, some she makes up as she goes along, and others the famous tales that have survived throughout the ages. Admittedly, she's a little overzealous in her beliefs, and she often lands herself in trouble solely because her words. Genevieve is far from realistic; in all actuality, her imagination- her id- takes overher mind that sometimes her ideas only make sense because of her words, not because of her theories. However unrealistic she is, Genevieve is, undoubtedly, creative, and it shows in almost everything she does and has from her clothing to her choice of words. She is also exceptionally intelligent, much like her mother, earning mostly E's in her classes with the occasional O, and the very rare A. Loyal. Loyal, in fact, to a fault; it is well-known her friends have let her down more than anyone else she knows, but she'd gladly give her own life for a friend, enemy, or a stranger. A passion for life, some might say. Not only is Genevieve loyal to a fault, she's also courageous to the point of being utterly rash; she leaps into problems and predicaments blindly, but she's also an extremely lucky young woman and, thus far, had made her way out of her problems with little more than a few scratches. She's always been lucky, though, it always seems to be on her side. Usually, and, because of this, Genevieve is also rather over-confident with herself which, of course, also tends to land her in trouble. Somehow, that confidence never wavers in the slightest, and Genevieve really believes she can do anything she puts her mind to. Never a good thing when that belief and over-confidence mix together. She has a terrible habit of wandering out of the common room at night when she can't fall asleep- Genevieve suffers from insomnia- and, though she rareky ends up caught, Genevieve often lands herself stranded in the craziest of problems. When she is found, more often than not, Genevieve has a smart ramarks for friend or foe. Oh, yes, Genevieve has a smart mouth, and a sarcastic humor that often comes out when her anger is at a simmer, or in the mornings she's wandered out of the common room. Her temper is something to fear, and she herself fears herself for it. No matter how much Genevieve fears herself, she is mentally strong, extremely so, and does not break down easily; most vulnerable when she's angry, Genevieve avoids people when she feels her temper rise. Unfortunately, people seem to like her more when she's ready to break under pressure and flock to her, it seems, andGenevieve often has more attention when she's teetering on the edge than any other time which, of course, resents, but people have never listened to her before- why start now? Background/Family History: Genevieve was born at the outskirts of dear old London with a tremendous shriek from the woman in labor- Amelia Albin. For a moment, the baby had been presumed dead, but a loud squall people call crying emitted from her mouth, and, with a smile, Mistress Amelia Albin announced: "That is my daughter, my little Genevieve Rae." The child was taken home a few days later after the hospital was certain she would be alright; there had been a bit of tension due to the delayed cry of life. Mister Aldon Jordan, twenty four at the time, had looked upon his newborn daughter fondly. Not only would she be the Albin's only daughter, she'd be their oldest, their youngest, and their only child. Until Genevieve was about three, Thomas worked as a farmer, a very profitable one, but a farmer nonetheless. As Genevieve rounded the age of four, her father became an interpreter. He was bilingual, of course, fascinated with languages and their originiation so of course he was a natural interpreter. The family migrated to the heart of London where Genevieve learned how to interact with the different types of people. Nice people that gave her cookies when she was sad, mean people that made her sad, and, as she aged, more people that would be developed into smaller groups would come along. But for her five to seven year old life, both in school and in her neighborhood, Genevieve knew only nice people and mean people. Depressed, anxious, dare devil- the category she'd be set in eventually- optimistic, slutty, and dozens and dozens of others. Her toddler years- five through seven- Genevieve began her steps in learning how to play the flute and how to swing dance. Why did she learn how to swing dance? Her grandparents had danced like that once before, and Genevieve, as a five year old and fascinated by everything, fell in love with it. Her father taught her, her mother helped, but her grandparents did the best job in creating the real atmosphere. Her five and six year old life was consumed by school, flute lessons, and swing dancing. At the age of seven, Genevieve fell in love with her first animal, group of animals, rather, the winged creatures. Not bats, actually, but butterflies, moths, birds, anything that flew and wasn't a bat enchanted her. They were so pretty, so graceful, so alive. Genevieve always sat at the windowsill during the winter and colder seasons and watch the small birds flutter about with a dreamy eyed expression. What would it be like to fly? Her parents purchased her a pretty green parakeet she named Anthony. Why? Well, she doesn't know and neither do her parents, but Genevieve taught the bird her seven year old language and the first steps of some dance. It died, though, half a year later due to some disease that Genevieve never learned of. Still, she did not get another bird- Genevieve did not want one. At the age of eight, Genevieve learned of her mother's blood as did her father. He didn't treat Teresa any differently, not even when he found out Genevieve, too, had that magical spark. How? Well, Genevieve had been playing on the sidewalk when she'd noticed a small bird struggling with its wing; she'd intended to save it herself, but there was a car coming. Genevieve knew better than to risk her life when she might not even be able to save the bird, still, though, Genevieve took a few steps towards the bird and her want to save it must have been great. The small bird- later named Freedom- came right into her arms without any help from anything that could have been human. After retelling the story, her mother had confessed about her own witch descent, and, though Aldon had been stunned, he'd done his best not to treat either of them any differently. Age nine, Genevieve released Freedom back into the 'wilderness' that was her backyard. She'd been sad, of course, but she'd learned to entertain herself with, believe it or not, mind games. Genevieve taught them to her mother as her father had become slightly stand-offish, likely because he would have never known about his wife's 'difference' had it not been for Genevieve. Still, he spoiled her, and when she was accepted into Hogwarts,(though it was extremely dangerous by now) her father had not truly wanted her going there. She began school that September. Sorted into [ House ], Genevieve had told her mother who'd been absolutely thrilled. She excelled in her academics, and began her long chain of memories. She was, after all, a social butterfly, and social butterflies basically depend on company and new people. Over the next five years, nothing of particular interest happened despite the constant cloud of death that hung over the students. Genevieve, though, held her head high, took deep breaths when no one was looking so she could keep up her charade, and kept smiling when everyone was frowning. Now, at the age of sixteen, Genevieve's struggling under the workload after her excelling in her O.W.L.S and taking up a number of new classes. She's up late and waking early every morning, and not only to make sure she's alive, Genevieve has to keep up with the work, plus keep her social life active.
