*Argh, I am so behind. I shall now take this opportunity to catch up...somewhat...*

The sun steadily rose over the dense ceiling of leaves on the trees as Thorn, Taihen and Taiyou made their way farther into the forest. Where she was going in particular, Thorn didn't know nor care. She just knew that this forest had to have another end to it.

The teeth-grinding clashing sound of metal reached her ears, and the female ninja paused. Taihen and Taiyou came to a halt in her wake, their green eyes peering curiously up at their "mother."

Without a second thought, Thorn began to move stealthily towards the ruckus. Taihen and Taiyou glanced at each other briefly, and then copied Thorn's movements. The African-American female pushed back a bush and gazed at the scene before her. It looked as if a girl around her age, perhaps, was under attack by some unknown force.

"...Hm. What a bother..." Thorn muttered to herself, putting the bush back where it was. Turning to her tiger cubs, she spoke to them in a low voice so she wouldn't draw attention to herself or her "kids". "Let's go another way. I'd rather not get involved if I can help it. It doesn't look like she needs any help at all."

As if her cubs understood her, they obediently turned tail and began to head back the way they came. Thorn followed closely after them, pausing momentarily to glance at the bush, and then shoot a curious glance at the weird guy with wings sitting in the tree, apparently watching the girl do battle with the mysterious forces attempting to assassinate her.

*Mmkay, done for right now. Be happy; don't know when I'll be able to post again. I just might run into Itagura and Nozomi on my way out of the forest if they head the way I'm exiting out of.*

*[sighs] I might as well post...before I get too far behind...my fight got everyone's attention! XD*

With her eyes in their glowing state, she darted forward through the undergrowth. The speed of Koneko's retaliation caught her attackers off guard. In a fluid motion, she unsheathed her right-handed katana, its longer blade more for the offensive moves Koneko's mind was planning. As she pulled it from its dark leather home, a silver flash could be seen by her attackers as it arced downwards from the sheath and then twisted upwards, level with their heads.

Two of her seven attackers were directly on the other side of the undergrowth that was obstructing them from view. Koneko slashed her long sword directly in front of her, its lethal silver sheen completely a full moon around her as she spun with the momentum of her swing. Bringing her katana up in a high arc above her head as she completed the 360 spin, she brought it straight in front of her, the flat near her face. Another arrow smashed against the blade's unyielding surface. Dark crimson ran down Koneko's right katana, the two heads of the now-dead bandits hit the ground with a dull thud.

Again with shocking speed, Koneko flew at the three archers as they threw down their bows to unsheathe close combat weapons. Crimson and silver flew in graceful ribbons around Koneko as she twisted around her enemies in an exquisite dance. All three hit the ground after their hearts had been silenced.

The final two bandits, as Koneko decided to dub them, were frozen in fear. Unknowingly to herself, Koneko had long since been under the bloodlust of her were-cat self. She was not in a forgiving mood. She had given them a chance to be kind, to change their ways, had she not? Koneko's more reasonable self told her not to attack, to clean her weapons and leave this place quickly. She hissed at this, for in her opinion, they deserved to be treated as they treated others. Again her reasonable self pleaded for them, that they had learned their lesson and that she should flee. Koneko tilted her head at this and examined the two remaining bandits.

One had the scent of urine and the other was dead white and shaking uncontrollably. Sighing to herself, Koneko agreed with the reasonable part of her mind. Turning on her heel, she walked past the painted bodies of the bandits that had tasted her steel. The were-cat in her commented cheerfully on the excellent job she had done. She reached the small splinters of the first arrow. Quickly, she ran her now crimson blade through a cloth reserved for polishing and wiping down her blades. Re-sheathing them, she then snatched her cloak up from the dusty ground and shook it. The snapping of the cloth echoed slightly, whispering to Koneko that her fight had probably made a bit of noise.

Draping the cloak over her shoulders, she tied it off and threw the hood over her head. Then she continued her path through the forest, leaving the 5 dead bandits behind.

Receiving Itagura's affirmative, Nozomi wasted no time. She took off into the underbrush. To be truthful, she didn't have a clue where she was going. Her senses were just... guiding her. With a speed she didn' know she had, Nozomi sprinted through until she saw a clearing up ahead. 'There!' she told herself. Just as she reached it, Nozomi suddenly tripped forward. She fell on her face with a thud.

"What the heck...?" she mumbled, rubbing her head as she turned to see what she tripped over. Her chestnut eyes widened and her jaw dropped. "Oh my gosh..." she said, in shock. There in the path had been a body. A dead body. Nozomi quickly looked around her; the clearing had turned into a battlefield as dead bodies decorated it.

After Nozomi bounded off Itagura took several steps and then gained in her own speed, staying close with the girl as she lead the way with her senses. When they came closer to the clearing the panther woman slowed farther behind until she was casually walking. A small interested grin playing across her lips as she observed the area but she turned quickly when she noticed that the canine girl had tripped over something.

'Not so graceful it seems.' she thought, but quickly the scent of blood smothered her senses and she quickened her pace to see what exactly caused her to fall over. She noticed the body, but didn't seem too surprised by it; this kind of scene was something she was used too. Her eyes slowly looked up to see the other bodies littered across the earth and she only placed her hands on her hips and eventually she crossed her arms as well.

"It seems the trouble may have already been dealt with." she said as she looked down to Nozomi and put a hand out to help her out. "We’re too late it seems."

Looking up at the primal, Nozomi took her hand and pulled herself to her feet. "Yeah, maybe too late for these guys," she mumbled. Wary, Nozomi looked around her. The dead bodies lay everywhere, a sea of blood around each. Swallowing the fear on her face, Nozomi knelt next to one of the bodies, slowly reaching out to search for a pulse on the man's neck.

There was none.

"What could've caused this...?" Nozomi asked, whirling to face Itagura. This was... horrible. Even if they were bad guys, they shouldn't have been... massacred like this. It was almost too horrifying to look at. She wondered how Itagura could just stand there so calm about all of this. Nozomi suppressed a shiver. "And where did they go then?"

Itagura crossed her arms again as she watched Nozomi try and find that pulse. She felt there was no reason however, seeing the way the bodies were. There would be know way they could have survived. Her tail flicked as she studied each of the bodies, the person who did obviously had no problems in annihilating each and these guys. She wouldn't be surprised if that person actually enjoyed it while they did it. She almost half wondered what was going on before this happened…

When words were directed to her, she didn’t look and instead kept her eyes on the bodies and the deep red pools around them nor did she answer right away. These people were just mere humans but the damage couldn’t have been done by a human. It had to be something else. She glanced to Nozomi out of the corner of her eye.

"Do you plan on looking?" she asked, as if she knew but didn’t want to give the answer so quickly. If the person that did this found them a threat she wasn’t too sure if she could stand up to it if they wanted a fight. Just barely, clouded by the scent of blood was another kind of smell..

Did she plan on looking? Nozomi asked herself that and no answer came to her. She closed her eyes and thought for a moment. Flashes of those bodies, of their blood, appeared as if she hadn't even closed her eyes. Those slashes, the heartlessness to do it... whatever did this was tough. Real tough.

Nozomi looked at the ground with half-lidded eyes. She didn't know if she could stand up to something like that. Sure, she'd always been able to hold her own. But holding her own wouldn't be enough for something lilke this. She had to be sure she could defeat it, in worst case scenario that it came to that. Redirecting her gaze in front of her, Nozomi's chestnut eyes rested upon Itagura. Something about her told Nozomi that she could take the heat. Itagura just seemed like that; like nothing could defeat her.

Clenching her fists again, she stared into Itagura's eyes as they caught gaze. "Yes."

The Primal perked, her ears raised to the highest they could go while her tail ceased from all movement as her brows raised as well. The girl had a lot of determination she saw clearly, but nonetheless she was surprised that she wanted to pursue the thing that did this. Whoever or whatever could probably do the same to them as it did to these men, yet she didn't find herself protesting or too concerned about it. Maybe she wanted to see this thing for herself as well.

Her familiar smirk found it's way on her face again.

Even though getting into involved in something that you weren't getting paid for wasn't something mercenaries did, still this girl had potential. She lifted her gaze from hers and closed her eyes as she inhaled the scents around her, upon ignoring the blood smell she managed to pick up just a bit of that 'something else'.

"Smell the air; tell me if you can smell something different."

*I hate to break in here of all places but if I don't now I may never get the inspiration to start again*

Beep...beep...be-

Kila sat upright in her booth in the local waffle house, the plastic seat squeaking with the movement. "The heck did my signal go?" She mumbled more to her computer than to anyone else, as though it was the machine's fault. Brushing back a stray piece of hair, the teenage girl stared intently at her screen as each of the hired men's signals faded in little under a minute. There was no way that her mark had deleted them so quickly on its own, sure the cyborg were-cat was highly ranked but there was no way...

You're underestimating your opponent once more... A raspy male voice seemed to whisper into Kila's brain, adding on as another thought process.

"I don't underestimate my opponents," Kila murmured to her computer, "I just gauge their strength."

And your synopses concluded...?

"She must have had help." The girl replied indignantly, her copper skin glowing faintly in the light of the overhead lamps. "Perhaps that panther primal helped her, the one we spotted earlier." Kila fixed her misty silver eyes on the distant forest scene, scowling as she pictured each of the men sprawled in patterns of blood and dirt. It wasn't any skin off of her nose, she didn't pay until AFTER the job was done.

What about the other one? The canine primal? The male rasped; no one in the breakfast joint seemed to hear the male voice, for only Kila responded by shooting her computer an incredulous look.

"You can't be serious Bachi, that girl was a mere puppy in comparison to what that primal can do, or what that cyborg did." She scoffed, her mind wandering to the faint shadow of midnight black wings she had spotted soaring across the ground earlier, perhaps that was what had killed her men so quickly?

Perhaps your best choice would be to go and investigate what is happening yourself? Kila whipped her head around and stared icily at her computer.

"You want me to die? What if that cyborg or the primal is out there?" She hissed.

I pick up nothing on my sensors, we should go look. Bachi replied calmly, thinking to himself in the process. His master was young and unstable, she needed interaction, good or bad, to stabilize herself perhaps she'd even learn to break away from the oppressive government she followed. Kila, if all you wish to do with your life is spy, order others to their death, and serve this disgusting excuse for a government then I have no objections, however...

"Fine! I'll go and have a look around, just don't get into your little speech!" Kila harrumphed as she cast a few coins on the table and abandoned her half-full cup of tea that had long since gone cold. She stood and snapped the small 15" laptop closed before stalking to the outdoors, grimacing in the cold light of the day. "I hate the outdoors." She murmured, kneeling and blocking her computer from view as it shrank, rounded and solidified into a long black and white weasel. The black-footed ferret scampered up Kaze's tan arm, claws barely nicking the fresh red scratches from when he often climbed up to her shoulder.

Please, a little fresh air will do you good, you're pale for your race.

"What race?" She scoffed, "I just happen to like the Natives of this land, if I wanted to be dark I'd have made my skin darker, simple as that." Shrugging slightly, Kila reluctantly set off for the unkempt wildlife that intimidated her from its unruly boundaries, crossing her fingers in hope that she wouldn't run into any primals...or worse...

*Alright, my other posts won't be as long but seeing as how this is my first, I thought it'd be fit for me to make it lengthy. Anywho, enter Kila Coran! ...finally...*

*I am NOT a puppy! >.< I'm a big dog now! BTW, you finally caught up: hallelujuah!*

Nozomi stared for a moment in shock. Yes, she knew Itagura could probably take whatever it was on, but she couldn't believe she was letting her go through with this. Shaking her head, Nozomi's floppy, well, flopped about. Taking a deep breath, Nozomi started to sniff. Among the smell there was human, very common for her, but there was other smells too.

"Hm... well, blood," she started to inform Itagura. Just pointing out the obvious. "But there's a lot of weird stuff, too." Nozomi started to turn different ways to smell around. "That winged guy from earlier... he was here at one point. Can't tell if he still is, though."

Nozomi's nose then caught on to more. "Um... another human, though this one wasn't killed. And they had... cats?" Nozomi questioned herself, but there was no doubt about it. This person had had two cats with them. Odd.

Then it really hit her. "Found it," Nozomi declared with a half smile. The canine primal looked towards farther wooded area. "It's like... a mix," she continued to confess. "I definitly recognize the human smell, but it's starting to fade. There's another smell mixed with this one... another cat?"

Nozomi shuddered. She hated cats. She's always hated cats, even before she gained her canin attributes. "Is that the one?" she inquired.

Itagura listened carefully to Nozomi's observations. Picking up the same scents but noted them as she described them. So several others were around as well.. but she highly doubted any of them helped in this massacre. She also couldn't help but note how many times the canine girl said the word 'Cat'. Not that she had a need to be with creatures that were like her somehow, she just found it funny.

It seemed there were a lot of felines in this area for some reason.

She looked in the direction they had come from; the human that had the two 'cats' with them was in that direction. She could still pick up the animal scents. Yet, she was sure that the animals that person had weren't cats. They didn't have that scent of a domestic house cat, it was wild in the heart and belonged somewhere else then in captivity. The person had foreign big cats with them. Not panthers, she already knew; tigers. She had crossed paths with tiger primals and shape shifters and so knew the scent well.

Now, for the winged fellow. This one sparked her interest again. That strange man with the wings that she still couldn't identify. Where was he hiding? Was he still here? Her green eyes searched the tree tops, her keen eyes trying to find him.. but to no avail. How disappointing.. By looking at him he seemed like someone that probably knew what happened from the safety of his heights.

Lastly, she turned back to Nozomi when she noted off the last thing in the air. Also picking up the mix; it was probably a cross bred creature, defiantly not a Primal. It was too different. But the other half she wasn’t sure if it was human.. so much human blood it could probably cover up what else it was.

Itagura nodded afterwards. "That’s defiantly the one." She said, but seemed to lose focus and looked behind them instead, staring off in the direction for a good minute, her ears folding back against her messy hair before taking a few steps away and towards the thing they were looking for. "Alright, let’s go." She said, though there was a hint of hesitation in her voice.

Kila stopped, her black shoe pausing a mere centimeter before the wild vegetation that consumed the path ahead, swallowing it in a shroud of green and brown. "Ugh." She grunted, imagining all of the bugs and creatures that inhabited the forest, her insides recoiled at this thought. "Where did the signal disappear again Bachi?" She asked the black and white creature perched on her shoulder.

Kila, His nonexistent voice rasped with a hint of annoyance, Proceed into the wood for another ten clicks and then make a left, the clearing isn't far from there.

Grudgingly, the teenager set foot into the wildlife, taking one last glance at civilization before nature consumed her form greedily in its shadowy undergrowth. "You sure nothing is out there right?" She asked Bachi for the umpteenth time, keeping check on her blood pressure and wrestling with her fear of the unknown.

The ferret extended to his full height and inhaled deeply for effect, of course he caught the scent of the many, many dangerous creatures lurking about. He could smell the human with the felines and the two primals from earlier, as well as their mark, the cyborg and the faint scent of the winged creature from earlier, though his scent was hard to distinguish for it smelled of the earth and time. But above all, even the stench of blood, was the scent of his master's fear, thick and vulnerable, I do not smell or sense anything within the vicinity of our progress, do not worry, if anything happens I will protect you. Bachi lied.

"Fine..." Kila muttered, her pulse slowing down a bit with this reassurance, Bachi was a part of her, he could never lie to her...right? Just as this thought flashed through her mind a section of the undergrowth rustled with movement...

*alright, this'll prolly be my last post in about 5 days...I'm going to Georgia...2 of the mentioned days are pure travel...12 hours in the car with daddy, my bro, my uncle and my grandfather. Ugh. I'll be surrounded by testosterone. -.-"*

Koneko hated herself. She truly did. The were-cat in her had killed people. She harbored the damned monster and she hated herself for it. But she was selfish and chose to keep living. Once the yellow haze had faded, she was a couple miles away. Her rational brain beat the heck out of the irrational, but that did no good. The damage was done.

Koneko decided her pace should probably increase. It was very likely that the bodies had been found. Again, she hated being so selfish. Fleeing rather than staying. She picked up the pace, moving from a calm walk to a brisk trot. She would go into hiding, for a few days at least.

Within 15 minutes, Koneko came across a rather wide stream. It flowed south, the direction she wished to head. She paused with a good distance between her and the running water. She knew what she should do, and hissed in irritation. She would have to get wet. Quickly, Koneko unfastened her cloak and folded it up. Then she rolled her each leg of her pants up to her mid-thigh, carefully tying them into place. In the process, she had exposed the twin daggers sheathed to her calves. Sighing, she removed them and set them on her neatly folded cloak. Lastly, she removed her military issue boots, which had an extra layer of cushion to ensure a 0% chance of blisters.

With silent efficiency, Koneko reached into a pocket on her pants and withdrew a cloth bag. She stuffed her boots inside the bag; they fit snuggly, but not so tightly that she would have to rip the bag to retrieve them. Next, she let the small pack that she carried fall from her shoulders. It hit the ground with a rather audible thud, and Koneko proceeded in stuff the covered boots, cloak and daggers into the pack.

Koneko stood up with the finality of her preparations. Snatching up the pack, she slung it over her shoulders. Then she moved silently towards the minuscule beach of the stream. It had a quick flow, despite it being so wide. Rather than leave prints upon the sandy beach, Koneko leaped easily over it. She landed with a small splash and began to slosh through the water. Even though it was about the center of the stream, it only made it to her knees and for that, Koneko was grateful. She despised getting wet other than to bathe. Grimacing as it soaked her rolled up pants, she began her trek south. Annoyingly, current was strong and had Koneko been human, it would have knocked her over. But she'd live, even though the strong current made for more splashing and a slight overuse of energy.

Koneko knew the stream would eventually get too deep, and when that happened, she'd change her course. But until then, she'd go straight ahead, not stopping until hunger ate at her stomach or exhaustion pulled at her body. Which would be awhile.

*I ended it like this for a few reasons. One of which, I want minimum possible interaction with my character whilst I'm gone...>.< cuz it'd be annoying as hell if I got caught or something and then I died cuz I didn't react...-.-" XD ...Two, this'll prove a challenge for my pursuers...Always hard to track through water and the steady current will erase my prints within an hour...Three...it makes my character seem...I dunno...cunning? Meh...maybe not...XD *

*Ok yeah hi... i'm sorry to come in here of all places, and be a newbie... but when i found this RPG i had to come in b/c it just sounds like so much fun!! so please excuse my interuption...*

A girl looking about 17 walked by a river. She had been walking for hours, not just hours but days. She had been eating horrible fish, and was starting to get hungery for more.

As she walked she could smell the strong sent of blood off in the distance. 'If I follow I will go off course.' she thought with a hungered look. Her short silver hair swayed in a small wind. Her silver cat ears twitched, her tail swayed and her usually hidden vampire fangs showen. She couldn't help herself. She hadn't had such food in almost a month.

With her mind set she bounded off at full speed with a new determination, hunger driving to the area. When she was almost there a new sent stopped her. Among the smell of blood were two people. Not just people, but something indiffrent. She didn't know whether to investigate the blood, her other food, or to turn before something or someone finds her.

Running would become harder if she is found by others. Things were hard enough as it was running from those thugs. Would she be heading right into their trap? Had they gotten ahead of her somehow? Only one way to find out, she started going on, following the sent of two others and the strong sent of blood.

*since no one else is doing anything I'll go ahead and go again, pls don't hate me... Oh and I'm sorry that Raikou-Neko can't join for a few days, that really sucks...*

As the strong sent of blood pulled the young girl along, she kept stopping as the sense of others pulled even stronger in her. She was confused on whether to go on or leave it be. If the site she was heading to was bad, she may be blamed for something she has not done. But what would be the fun in just turning back around. Where ever Yume seemed to go she ran into trouble.

As she kept walking, she didn't pay attention and tripped over something. When she looked down, a man was grabbing her ankle. With out any controle she screamed at the top of her lungs in a little fear and mainly serprise.

"Don't call back the monster." the man hissed in a raspy voice. "We thought she was you. We almost had ya, then she turned into a monster. We should of had you not that girl."

Yume hissed and nocked the mans hand off her ankle and moved away from the wounded and diying man.

*Ok, that's where I'll stop I guess. I hope someone posts soon!*
