*Me again*

Kage looked over at the young girl with panther attributes slowly leaving the group of people that were around the building. 'Hmm, I should be leaving too. The wind finally started up again.' He fully extended his wings and looked down at the people below. "It's been...fun I guess. But I'm not really welcome in the human world."

He took off into the sky and quickly flew over the forest back to his tree.

*I'm bored, next person.*

Nozomi couldn't help but watch as Itagura began to walk away and Kage began to fly away. She didn't know what she had done, but all she knew was that both of them seemed upset by her presence. Unaware of the third being that emerged from the inn, Nozomi ran after Itagura. "Hey! Wait up!" she called out. Sprinting, Nozomi easily caught up to the walking primal. "So..." she started, eyeing Itagura's tail, "what are you? No offense!" Nozomi compelled to add, not wanting to offend her... although by her attitude, it seemed she already had.

"Hm?" Itagura stopped in her tracks and turned to face Nozomi, appearing rather apathetic. 'Upset' was something she was rarely she simply just felt like getting away from the scene, out of the crowd. Hanging around people wasn't her favorite thing to do.

She perked her ears and raised a brow at Nozomi when she asked her question. She was silent for a moment and uncurled her tail from her waist and it swayed side to side, though not so interested anymore. "A primal." she said simply with a shrug, her voice steady. Apparently this girl had never come across one before. Itagura was a panther primal, but of course there many different kinds of primals. Bears, cats, dogs, bats all kinds. The list was nearly endless. She couldn't help but study the girl a bit more. "Since were asking these kind of questions.. What are you?"

Nozomi's gaze lowered for a moment, as if saddened. But it was gone so quickly one would have to wonder if it was ever there... "I don't know!" she chirped. Pulling off her white and pink cap, her floppy dog ears hung down and shone blonde through her chestnut hair. "I was just... like this. All my life."

Her gaze remained steady upon Itagura's. "That why I wanted to know what you were! Maybe I'M a primal! I dunno..... are primals born from human parents?" she asked her as a side thought.

After giving it some thought, Itagura shook her head as she stuck her hands into her pockets. It was impossible to have human parents with a primal child.. It was either both parents were Primals or one was human and the other Primal. Or she could get some of those genes if one just happened to be atleast half Primal. In a sense, that was all a Primal was; almost human-like with the characteristics of an animal, with the animalist instinct and all.. and the ability to switch forms to fit in better with the environment.

She looked at the ears on the girl then into her face and sighed, she didn't want to be the cause of the girl breaking some more. "Are you sure that one of your parents was at least half Primal? Or stayed in a human form most of the time? That would explain about everything." she said, shifting her weight to her left foot, reassuring Nozomi.

"I don't know," Nozomi replied. Memories and heartache flashed through her mind. Her parents. Laughing. Picnics. First Days of School. Then it all shifted. Blood. Tears. Stillness. Her mother's crying face staring back at her, motionless. Far away sirens. . .

Mentally, Nozomi shook it all away. She had managed to keep her smile through the flashbacks. Then she replied, "I don't know because my parents are dead. They were killed when I was young."

Though her face didn't change, the panther-like ears on her head folded back and pressed against her messy hair. How could this girl say such a thing and still hold that kind of smile.. She found it almost sad. But she could see she was just trying to hold it in.

"I see, I'm sorry.." she said, hoping she didn't bring up any bad memories or anything. "But, probally one or both of them were Primals. Or of some other race." she said with a shrug. "They could have been anything." she sighed once again and then looked away from her and in the direction she was leaving in earlier and without much of a word she began walking off again at that slow and causal pace.

She felt she was done for now.

Watching Itagura walk away, Nozomi's tail stopped its playful swishing and her ears drooped. Then a new resolve lit in her eyes: this was her chance to be around people like her. She couldn't and was not about to let that chance walk away.

Nozomi ran back after the primal. When she caught up, Nozomi started to walk backwards so she could talk to Itagura and still face her. "By the way, the name's Nozomi!" she introduced.

The female Primal looked at Nozomi’s face with her dark green eyes. A look as if she questioning her but remained quiet for a moment as she continued her walk and looked over the canine-girl's head to make sure they wouldn't run into anything. She wasn't planning on having company any longer then this.. But she was pretty sure she wouldn't be able to shake this one.

"Itagura." she replied, her tone smooth and causal.

She could only hope that Nozomi wouldn't slow her down completely. Being a traveler, and a mercenary she couldn't stand the idea of everything slowing down for her because someone decided to tag along. “Where did you come from?” she asked, deciding that she try and be a bit social if this girl was going to follow her.

"Blame my parents!" she joked. Then her tone changed. "Actually, I've kind of just been roaming around. Once my furry little tail was exposed, I had to drop out of school," she grinned. Being alone for such a long time, Nozomi was excited at the prospect of finding a friend. Especially someone like herself!

Nozomi put her hat back on, her dog ears being buried once more. "So, where did you come from? Are there more people like us? Was that tall, wierd guy with the wings like that, too?"

She watched her put the cap back on, a strange look on her face. Now why would she cover them up? There was need too if she was around Itagura, when your a Primal you were suppose to be proud of it really. But, then again this was how Nozomi lived her life and she couldn't expect her to suddenly change that. She looked over her once more, a bit more people were outside their homes with the time that went by, but as she spoke again, she looked back to her.

"I don't live anywhere near here," she said. "I live somewhere called the Horai Mountains, much farther to the East." She didn't tell her how exactly far to the east these mountains were though. "And yes, Primals are as common as humans. However," she paused and looked around. "Maybe just not here." she said, seeing as she didn't cross paths with as many when she made it to this region.

She was silent again as she pondered that thought again, her panther tail swished from side to side and it took her longer to realize there was another question. She stared at Nozomi for a long while, looking as if she had no idea what she was talking about but then remembered that winged-man. How quickly her mind dropped un-important things. "No," she answered. "He was something completely different.. Nothing like us." Which was funny to her, because she still couldn’t figure out what he was.

Nozomi saw the strange stare she receieved from putting her hat back on. She figured it was because she didn't see the need. Besides the fact that the hat was comfy, it was just... habit. Back at school, she never took her hat off. Back when her ears were the only thing she had to worry about. But it was once she finished junior high that her tail popped up. Why then, who knew?

Her thoughts trailed back to the dark winged man from earlier. So he was strange, even for primals. Well, that was reassuring to know. "So, if he's not a primal, then what was he?" Nozomi asked. "I mean, is there another race besides human and primal?"

(This ish fun! I'm glad you came along to liven up the boards! ^.^)

Once again she gave the girl another strange look; obviously she didn't know too much about the other kind of beings that lived in one world. She nodded, that look disappearing from her face quickly, so not to totally alert Nozomi. "Of course," the primal said. "There are many different kinds of races here." she would know, she had traveled so long she had come across something different everyday. "It's just that...” she trailed off when she thought about the winged person. When she picked up his scent, she had never smelled something of the sort person.. He looked human but didn’t smell anything like a human. He was defiantly a strange one.

"I've just never seen anything like him.. So I can't tell you what he was. Whatever he is, it's unfamiliar." Her words came out slowly as she continued to think this over but soon just shook the thought from her head. She would have to worry about that some other time.

*heh, I only wish I was noted of this place earlier, I like it here*

(I KNOW! The other's aren't much for RPing, though Kaze-chan might when she gets back online. But I luff it! ^.^)

A strange look that Nozomi couldn't decipher flashed on Itagura's face momentarily. It was gone so fast that Nozomi truly wondered if it had even been there to begin with. "

"Well, I guess you can consider me a newbie at this sort of thing," she confessed. This time she was internally observing Itagura more closely. She seemed to be the type of female/primal who said a lot through her expressions and actions. Though Nozomi was plenty happy that she was talking to her. It was nice to have company that wasn't freaked by her 'furri-ness', so to speak. "So, you travel a lot? What other kinds of things are out there? Are any of them dangerous? Or are they all like you?" she questioned, though hoping she wasn't starting to annoy Itagura with the questioning.

*wow...I leave for a few hours and I come back to this...XD...guess I'ma have to get used to this constant posting thing...[laughs]*

Koneko blinked at the rather sudden departure of the creature-humans. Racking her brain, she tried to remember the words that described them as what they were. They could be called many things, but the top two on her list were anthro and primals. Not that the word for what they were mattered much, since she doubted she would see them again.

Koneko walked away from the inn. She wondered if she should follow the two girls as they walked down the street. No, she shouldn't. The black-eared one looked slightly annoyed and the one with the golden tail seemed to be trying to start up a conversation with her...Not something Koneko had any interest in joining.

She then thought of the bird-guy. He didn't seem to be under the category of anthro or primal or whatever. He had seemed different. More majestic, rather than the mixed DNA of the homo sapien and the avian.

Koneko caught herself. She was thinking too deeply into this. She was leaving this town, fleeing the calls of battle that claimed the North. She knew it was stupid, moving so close the area that the school claimed. But this was the quickest way to leave the North behind, as Koneko had no desire to be caught up in the stupid war. If she remembered right, the whole thing was caused because a princess had disappeared on the night she was supposed to marry the prince of another country. Many reasons could be behind this. The princess didn't want to marry, she was kidnapped, some outside force was bored and wanted to start a war, the possibilities were endless.

Koneko hissed in frustration. Politics were so stupid. Rather than going to war, shouldn't they have simply looked for the princess? No, war was the answer to all. According to the Northern countries, it solved more problems than it caused.

She stopped walking in shock, not realizing she had already made it to the forest near the city.

"Baka, you really need to pay attention to where you go." She muttered to herself.

"It's not like I TRY to think. Thinking happens, and as usual, gets me far." Koneko replied to herself, vaguely wondering if anyone could hear her normal conversation with herself. With sudden realization, she found that she was surrounded by silence. It was early, but not so early that the animal life would be dormant. So where were the birds and their early morning calls?

Koneko had a strange feeling, the kind she got when nothing good was going to happen. She closed her eyes, and opened her senses of smell and hearing while she flipped the mental switch in her eyes. She sharply jerked her lids open, and her surroundings turned shades of blue and purple. Oddly, there were no small blotches of red, yellow and magenta. Koneko glanced around her, and froze. Seven moving red, yellow and orange figures were spreading out slowly, creeping toward her.

Koneko blinked swiftly, her sight returning to normal. She could probably apprehend the seven, if they weren't highly trained. And she could probably escape back to the city if they weren't inhumanly fast. And so the question to her was fight or flight?

*Sorry, I kept getting carried away in the research...I like the details, and I like them factual...>.< so the research on the infrared is correct...I think...and I really was catching myself cuz I was looking too deeply into the actions of what you guys were doing...o.o XD so basically I was ranting to myself, but anyways, whadya think?*
