[I'll post when I return home from school. I finally finished the rapid-fire novels that were being pressed upon me. FYI, The Naming and the Riddle by Alison Croggon are good books...I recommend raiding your local bookstore or library...XD] |

[*sighs* due to being harassed, I'll post...but fyi, I'm not really all that inspired....] "I know not what our objective should be." Koneko hissed, just loud enough over the constant thunder of bullets. Koneko was struck with a sudden inspiration. She should see just what had happened to the one her life was now pledged. Not just because of the possibility that Kila's life was in danger, but because she was curious as to what had become of her. "My suggestion, though, is that we see if the one you call Kila is still breathing properly in this world." And with those words, uttered so quietly among the metal rains, Koneko's muscles coiled. When the sinews were taunt with her potential, Koneko sprang forth from behind the tree, behind which she and the young puppy had hidden. The thick organic wires released with such force that Koneko's legs moved easily and lethally fast. Within half a second, she was skidding across the ground and into the brush that hid Kila. Where Koneko was positive she had left the teen, a mountain lion with dual tails stood, it's ferocity unnerving. She was unsure why, but Koneko was also positive that this feral cat was the female she had thrown down minutes before. "I never would have guessed there was a shape-shifter amongst the world. Obviously I guessed wrong, huh?" |

*I shall wait for Tenshi's post I suppose, than I'll react.* Krow: How bothersome, frozen in time. Kila: At least you're not a cat with two tails, my balance just went in two split directions! Krow: Ah, to be young and full of complaints. Kila: What? You're my age! Krow: Details, details... |

Nozomi felt the wind whoosh by her as the cycat burst from their safety and into the barrage of metal rain. She knew immediately there was no way in her right mind that she would be able to follow her though the raging warfare. So she had to take care of herself. She was on her own now. Raising her nose slightly to get a better whiff, Nozomi traced the scents of battle. The 'bad' smell was still in the midst of it all; Kila's scent had disappeared entirely. The slight smell of smoke was noticable from the gun-fire. And Itagura-- Itagura's was most obvious. The scent of her blood littered Nozomi's nose. Itagura was hurt. Unable to move through the crossfire and fighting to hide herself from the bad smell, Nozomi crept around the forest underbrush and not in the clearing. Her tail stilled, her ears down, she crawled, weaved, and moved about undetected. Or, at least she hoped so. That was when another scent was picked up. "Yume?" she heard Itagura's voice question, answering Nozomi's thoughts. When her comrade came into sight, Nozomi leapt from her hands and to her feet. "Itagura!" she called out, rushing towards the primal. Kneeling by Itagura's side, her eyes softened to realize the wound was only slight. But nonetheless, Nozomi couldn't completely fight off her worry. "Are you okay?" she whispered through the fire. |

Itagura watched the silhouette of Yume for awhile longer until she disappeared in the clouds of dust from the storm of bullets. So it seemed that Yume didn't abandon them like she assumed Kila did... However, she noticed something different about the feline girl as she rushed into the scene like that so recklessly. The primal hoped that the girl knew what she was doing with that barrage of bullets coming to greet her. She wondered what exactly she was thinking.... She could get herself killed without something equally effective to counter the attacks! She pulled herself back behind the tree, her green eyes drifted around as her features held the impression that she was in deep thought. What exactly could she do against choppers? Everyway she looked at it, it seemed impossible to get close enough to do any damage. Though she had speed and agility on her side, her power wouldn't help her too much to actually brake through the machine's defenses seeing as it would be to risky to try and get close, especially with all this open land. She cursed under her breath through clenched teeth. Maybe retreating was the best option, but then again they would pursue wouldn't they? Her ears perked suddenly when she heard her name being called and she turned to she Nozomi, who she had lost a little bit earlier. She signed inwardly, seeing as the younger canine girl was alright it seemed. The panther woman nodded to her, covering the nick with her hand. "It’s just a scratch, nothing serious." She said. "What about you? Did they see you or anything?" |

Nozomi's eyes couldn't help but notice as Itagura's hand covered the gun scratch. But compared to everything else at the time, it was irrelevent. Her chestnut orbs found Itagura's face and her ears perked at the question. "Um, I don't know if they saw me," she replied truthfully. Thinking back hard, Nozomi struggled to remember the finer details of the past few minutes. "The cycat actually saved me from the gun-fire; I got a small graze, but that's beyond the point. Some other guys tried to sneak up on us, but then they just fell dead. I have no idea what happened there. Um..." Nozomi fought her rambles and picked apart the major info. "I could smell Kila for a while, but then her scent disappeared, so the cycat went off through the fire to check out something. Then I smelled the 'bad' smell and lastly I found you." The entire affair was hectic to Nozomi that frankly she couldn't remember the order of anything. It was just happening. The metal rain ensumed in an endless rage. The machine fire was doing a very thorough job in the clearing. Nozomi hoped no one was left in there; there was no doubt in her mind that they would be dead by now. Finished with her report, Nozomi's chestnut eyes found their way to Itagura's wound again. No matter how small, it was still a bullet wound. And where there were bullets, there was at least some pain. Moving closer to her new friend, Nozomi gently pried Itagura's fingers away from it. "Let me see this real fast..." she explained. The cut wasn't deep, thank goodness. But there was slight blood from it. Cautiously and slowly, gauging Itagura's reaction, her hands moved over the wound. Her focus concentrated, Nozomi's hands glowed a blue and she applied slight pressure to the cut. In no time it healed; the cell reactions moving faster and faster. "There we go," Nozomi said, removing her hands from the closed cut. "Now I can stop worrying." |

Kyne's POV My soldiers died quickly from a force I could not quite decipher. The hellfire continued as I prowled about in stealth, satisfied in knowing that no one within the vicinity could sense me. However, the hellfire was continuing for far too long, it was helping no one. Blood spattered the dusty ground but it was too faint, not enough to prove any true damage. I let out an airy sigh, these humans could do nothing right. "Cease." I commanded into my microphone clipped to my shoulder. The hellfire stopped immediately. Now the true battle had begun. Normal POV Kila stood poised to the spot, the rush from her transformation had left her temporarily immobilized, but all senses were now on full throttle. Just as the hellfire ceased. The cyborg that had knelt before her and protected her stood a few feet away, her expression guarded. Kila grumbled low in her chest, sensing out the current situation. There was blood and smoke in the air as well as another scent that she knew all too well. "Krow..." she grumbled, her words morphing into a feral snarl. The mountain lion bounded forth from the brush and snarled a challenge to the WC's. Twin tails whipping about, Kila took note of those around her. Yume, Itagura, Nozomi, the cycat, the winged man, and Krow...but where he was she didn't know. Morphing only her vocal cords into a rough translation of a humans', Kila growled, "The WarChoppers are not your true enemies, someone else is among us. Watch your backs." She swept her misty blue eyes around, noting the remnants of magic about Nozomi's hands. "I say we retreat, find somewhere safe otherwise we may be annihilated." Just as the words left her feline mouth the WarChoppers dropped a few ten thousand feet, the clinking of metal was clearly audible. "Never mind..." Kila growled, "they're releasing another round, this time they'll be using heat seekers, they've only got four, one per WC, but they're big." And sure enough the WarChoppers dropped open four gates, revealing the massive missiles within. "New plan." |

*wow...it's really starting to swing again, now that the momentum is building! * Koneko swore. Kila actually being the puma-cat was rather unexpected. But she could deal with that. Hiding from heat-sync missiles? Another story. Koneko's body ran like a machine; her body could get far hotter than a pure living creature's. And with all her movements in the past few hours, her body was around 105F. Meaning she was probably the easiest target here. Her mind rapidly thought out some sort of plan. The obvious choice was to move quickly at the last second, driving the missile into the ground. Two problems with that. Anyone in the blast radius would be injured, and Koneko didn't even know the blast radius. The other problem tied to the first. Without being able to calculate the blast radius, she would have to expend a larger quantity of energy than necessary, and although she WAS a machine, Koneko was starting to feel the strains of fatigue. Another choice would be to intercept the missiles. Problem with that was they'd explode at point-blank range, and again, she didn't know the blast radius. So Koneko could easily cross that option out. The final option her brain processed was to outrun the missile. But like all her options, it came at a hefty cost. Her energy sources would burn out quickly. VERY quickly, since she'd have to hit speeds that most land vehicles couldn't even hit. It would, however provide the most safety, since when the missile exploded, she'd be long gone. Weighing her options quickly yet carefully, Koneko decided on the first option. She couldn't afford being so far away in the event of a fight. Plus, she'd expend the least amount of energy in the last-minute counter. Now all there was to do was wait for the bombs to drop. |

*<.< >.> I've waited, and I've read. Now, it's time to post* Kage sat perfectly still while the chaos around him intensified. All he could do was wait until his energy returned to him, and hope everything would miss. Then, he heard a rough voice call out through the storm. He couldn't hear much, but what he did hear gave him a chill. 'Missiles? Oh great, why now?' He closed his eyes and concentrated. He looked deep inside his mind and reached the very back of his power. Calling on all his energy, he pulled out just enough to reenergize himself. He opened up his eyes, and stood up. He shook himself, and picked up his staff. 'Alright, I'm back in the game.'. He ran over to where he heard the sound. He spotted the now morphed ferret girl and the cycat. "Ok then, now there are missiles involved? Good grief, what don't they have?" *Bored, someone else post now* |

*wow I've missed a lot in my week of being sick and unable to do anything... Well Yume is back in the game!!* Yume dodged as many bullets as much as she could. Bullets nicking her here and there. Deep down she knew that she couldn't get any where close. She had to try though, anything to keep people from dieing. She hated death and the smell only made her more hungery. She then let herslef fall back to the ground, something seemed off. She tryed and tryed again, but she still couldn't get to the chopper. The voice inside her head was still screaming 'Kill them all! Kill them!' she tried to ignore it and tried to turn back. Then a new noise sounded. The bullets stopped for a second, the choppers getting ready to do something more deadly. 'What are they doing?' Yume thought, her original self trying to return. 'Something isn't right, gotta get controle!' she then dodged into the brush holding her head in her hands. Doing her best to hold in her painful screams, but her attempt failed. She screamed as the pain in her head made her seem like she was going to explode. 'What am I going to do now!' she asked herself realizing even in her pain she just released her new location. *Ok, i don't know what else to say so i'll leave it up to who ever posts next ^_^* |

Itagura sighed deeply after Nozomi spoke, leaning back against the tree and with her other hand covered the right side of her face with her palm, closing her eyes. "I see..." She muttered after receiving Nozomi's unorganized report and dropped her hand to her unwounded side. This was beyond terrible, caught in a predicament that she could actually get herself killed in. In the future, if she did have a future - she would start to be more careful on what kind of work she would accept… She reopened her eyes, to reveal that normal dull expression, her emeralds half hooded as she noticed movement from Nozomi besides her, seeing her inch closer and remove her hands from her wound. Though she didn’t resist she simply stated: "Its only a cut." And turned her view elsewhere, however when she felt the bit of pressure against it she inhaled a small but still a sharp breath and turned back, noting the faint blue glow that outlined the canine girl’s hand she stared for a long moment until it revealed the cut was no more. The Primal didn’t reply at first to this, her eyes resting on the spot where there was at one time a nick, now there wasn’t even a scar. "Heh," her familiar smirk finding it’s place back to her face. "So why didn’t you tell me you could do that before?" She asked, however wasn’t expecting an answer as something else caught her attention… The gun fire had stopped. She quickly pushed herself off the ground, standing on the tips of her feet as she remained crouched and her hands resting on her raised knees as she peered through the trees they hide behind. When the cloud of dust slowly began to clear, she could start to see everyone else. Catching Yume just in time duck into bushes, it seemed she had come to her senses? She saw the Cyborg cat, awaiting something from the choppers above that seemed to be harmless at the moment and the man with the wings in the center of the field. Then finally, she noted the mountain lion creature that spoke, her attention instantly drawn to it. Heat seeking missiles? Is that what she thought she heard the puma say? What a night… "Hmm… Nozomi, it seems things are only gonna get harder." She said as she watched the flying machines above. "I guess, if this could get any worse I should at least apologize to you before hand." She said, however didn’t turn to face the girl and kept her sights on the choppers and their allies, her tone rather casual. "I suppose, I should have thought more about that offer before accepting it and then dragging you along in it." Though it didn’t sound too sincere with the nonchalant tone laced to the words, the Primal did mean it. She would have never apologized to anyone else but believed Nozomi deserved it. She turned finally to look at the dog-girl. "I guess we should have gone with something easier, huh?" |

*I'm tryin to get my bro to get into this rp, but he hasn't been able to get on. I MISS YOU!! Any ways since no one else will reply i shall do the honor!!* Yume looked up from her hiding place. She listened to the Cyborg Cat, the man with the wings, and the talking mountain lion. She couldn't believe how fast everything seemed to be whirling around her. 'I should of stayed in hiding, just left them alone. Damn over whelming voice!' she told herself after she heard the words heat seeking missiles. She couldn't believe what all was happening. There was no way she would be able to hide from something like that, not after all her attempts at getting to the choppers. 'I almost made it! Why the hell do they want to kill all of us? What is there objective?' she wondered, crawling in the bushes. She sniffed the air, smelling Itagura and Nozomi. She figured it would be best to be with someone at least. Her small bullet scratches bleed, but she ignored it and the pain. It was nothing compared to what she's been through. "Psst," she said; after hearing Itagura tell Nozomi they should of taken something simpilar;, stopping a wase(sp) from the primal and dog girl. She waited, so not to be killed by the up tight girls. She couldn't help but feel a small heart warming feeling as she aproched the girls, sensing a tight bond between them. |

*SORRY~ I've been jam-packed with college work and projects! DON'T SHOOT ME... at least, not you guys. The evil dude might do it for the heck of it XD* Nozomi panicked. Her heart skipped a beat. Heat seeking missles? That was bad. She didn't know the specifics and she knew it was bad. Enough said. Nozomi tried to rack her brains to figure out how high her canine-like temperature was-- she couldn't remember. "Snap," she muttered. Her attention was drawn back by the sound of Itagura's voice. Nonchalance greeted her, but Nozomi could tell she meant well. Something easier, eh? "I guess so," Nozomi replied, unable to suppress a wistful grin. It was somewhat reassuring that not all of Itagura's expeditions were like this. It was a note to tuck away for future reference. If she had a future. A soft voice peeped behind Nozomi. She couldn't help but jump a bit. Her brown and pink locks whipping around, Nozomi found her gaze to rest upon Yume. "Yume?" she queried for confirmation. At this point, she wasn't sure of anything anymore. Her chestnut eyes glancing between the two, her body tense, she asked aloud, "So, what do we do about these missles?" |

A soft 'heh' escaped her as she turned back to look between the trees again. "You're a funny one, you know that?" She replied shaking her head a bit as her tail flicked. Yet her attention was taken away from the threat when a sort of hissing sound reached her ears. She tuned to hear Nozomi reply Yume's name and then finally saw the cat girl for herself. "Oh... So you're alright." Answered the Panther Primal, perking her ears a bit as she got off the tip of her feet and folded her legs under her, resting on her knees. "I thought maybe they would have caught you..." She turned back to Nozomi when she spoke up. ".....Well," She started up after a long pause. "With something like this happening... I would propose we run. Cowardly? Maybe. But we would probably be alive to fight another day." She said brushing her index finger over her chin in thought as her emeralds rose up the sky. "But since they're heating seeking... We wouldn't get very far." She added shrugging her shoulders as she looked back down to them both, glancing between them as she spoke up again. "And I’m terrible when it comes to machines; my abilities would do little to nothing unless I could get close enough with being fed lead… or blowing up." She added the last part a moment later, cutting her eyes from the two. "This is really annoying…" {Lol I just love how Ita can only say something that involves guns and missiles 'annoying' *sigh* Isn't she great?} |
