If you can read this, the song is A Little Peace of Heaven by Avenged Sevenfold. A WARNING, the video is very graphic.

I've heard of it...and seen clips, but it never really looked like my kind of anime (and I KNOW you shouldnt judge a book by its cover, but I normally watch anime if I like the animation [i.e. if the animation is pretty or cool] and Case Closed never really looked like either) ....yea...I might check it out though...I've had good reviews...

Jimmy Kudo was 17 years old and well on his way to becoming a super detective. However upon witnessing a crime, he was hit on the head and slipped an experimental drug which turned him into a child. He now lives under the alias of Conan Edagawa trying to figure out what happened and reverse it. He solves murders and crimes along the way.

Despite it's look, this show is NOT intended for young viewers. It displays tons of blood and very grisly murders pretty much every episode. There are a few which would be just fine for children. They even struck me as a children's show on those select few episodes. But %80 of the time, it's for older audiences. The Manga is even MORE graphic. It's good as long as you're not squeemish. I've only seen about 5 or 6 episodes. Seen about 3 or 4 decapitations.

I've seen a lot of the anime and some of the manga and so far it hasn't disappointed me in the least. This show keeps you on edge thinking about who did what and even if you think you have the answer you're easily proven wrong.

I love this show for the original stories that come with each mystery and I'd recommend it to almost all of you, and if you can get the DVD's get them, it's worth it. They have fun extras you can enjoy like bloopers, but you have to be able to solve the mysteries on your own first to get them! Playing that game with friend's is hilarious btw.

But all and all, I'd say it's a good watch. I can't say much about the manga because I've only read one volume but the anime is definitely a must see.
