Scientific Name : Aequidens rivulatus Common Name : Green Terror Country Of Origin : South America Size : max 20cm Diet : Carnivorous Tank Zone : All Sex : Sex can be determined by a bump on the head of the mature male. Females grow smaller than the males. Temperament : Aggressive Breeding : Egg layer Tank Setup : Either rocks or wood take your pick! Must have an area to lay eggs Temperature : 25°C PH : 6.5 for breeding can tolerate up to 8 Hardness : 10.0dH - 25.0 dH General Information These guys are a nice cichlid that if you treat nicely will become one of your favourites! Breeding Info Keep the tank clean and to breed just do a nice cool water change and if you do this you shall receive many a fry! They are basically as easy to breed as convicts. They will lay their eggs on either a rock or dig up the gravel and lay on the bottom glass if no spawning areas are available. Female is very protective of young and will fight the male off once the eggs have hatched, best to remove male. Comments There are 2 different variants of these the gold and white saum. |
