I offer this opinion purely from my perspective. Senator Clinton's Campaign was doomed from the very start as I see it. This is not intended to be a knock against Senator Obama however it was clear from Iowa who the Media was pulling for. Especially the larger Political News Networks like CNN & MSNBC. The latter has risen to a point of sheer meaness against Clinton. There are so many points that support my theory, I really don't have time to list them however I willstate this, emerging from the smut of these Networks are what I've learned are the absolute worse of the bunch, in particular order; Keith Olbermann (MSNBC) Chris Matthrews (MSNBC) Gene Robinson (Pundit, MSNBC) Rachal Maddow (Pundit, MSNBC) John Cafferty (Anchor, CNN) Wolf Blitzer (Anchor, CNN) Carl Bernstein (Pundit, MSNBC) Juan Williams (Pundit, CNN) Have emerged as the hands down most repulsive self righteous opinion swaying bunch of egomaniacs I've ever heard during a Political Campaign. They've learn to weasle themselves onto every News venue that will have them spewing out their insight on every syllable the Candidates utter. Problem is, what Hillary says, gets tremendously over blown than what Obama says. I firmly believe if the Rev. Wright controversy had been one that Hillary Clinton were involved in, without doubt the flood of force feeding their dislike for "The Clintons" would have its' center stage presence on our screen nightly up until Hillary Clinton decided to get out. On May 21st, I actually heard a Guest on Hardball make some reference to Monica Lewinsky with an obvious attempt, knowing full well as the Media does, that a fairly large faction of the United States, makes it determinations based upon what these political opinions, suggest. Senator Obama had zero substance when he first began his Campaign. It wasn't until his Campaign Advisors began hearing the likes of Chris Matthews, claiming Obama's Campaign is one of real change in direction for the USA, if he were to be elected President. SUddenly, the Obama Camp picked up the banner and thus was born the apparently successful slogan of Change. There are actually references that Mr. & Mrs. Obama made in the Media that should have been taken to task each & everyday until each of them explained themselves fully, One was Mrs. Obama's statement about being proud for the first time to be an American. For anyone who is truly paying attention, that speaks very loudly to the very philosophy of their Reverend Wright's messages in the decade they attended his Church. It's apparent to me (solely) that they bought into Rev. Wright's theories about America's injustices around the Globe, yet after a small almost forced blimp on the radar screen about that statement, it was allowed to fall to the wayside. Yet when Former President Clinton made a reference about Jesse Jackson, in South Carolina, which was completely misunderstood, the Media continuously made statements about the Black Voters being outraged by his comments, when many in the Black Community, didn't initially take offense to the President's statement at all. Actually, up until the Media drilled the concept that the former President was insulting the Black Community, the Black Voters were almost split on who they were supporting given the Clinton's tireless work in bringing minorites to the table during his two terms as President. Although there are other exmples of the Media's unfairness, I'm of the belief that Senator Clinton can do nothing more than shoot herself in the foot at this juncture. Her window of opportunity cam & went for then to make a substantial move in a positive direction. It was suggested that Hillary Clinton, ran a horrible Campaign and I will second that. I believe she allowed herself to listen to the wrong people at the wrong times. I believe Hillary Clinton, never took advantage of her voice telling the people what was truly happening. And now it's pretty much over for her except there is one more card to play if she were willing. If I were a Clinton Advisor, I might have a serious sit down with the entire Staff including the former President and suggest the Senator give some consideration to running as an Independent. One of two things would happen: 1. She would obviously no longer get the Democratic Nomination but she would amount a very large contingentsy of supporters who consider themselves moderates that are not pleased with either McCain or Obama and of Hillary were giving real thought to what Independents want on their Platform, she could consider iof many of those conditions were doable. 2. Sh ewould be all accounts creat a Ross Perot effect, taken a large amount of the Votes from both sides of the fence and like Jesse Ventura, she could actually win by default when you consider the total electorial college split in 3rds. |
