It occured to me that many people have never participated on a Message Forum before and might not have a clue as to how this all works. The following instructions are to provide a basic entry process in order to get started. But before we do, one needs to understand what a Message Forum is.

On the World Wide Web there are countless Forums to address probably any topic you can think of. There are fourms for your favorite TV Show. Forums for meditation, sports, medicine, politics, anti-politics, religion, sex, teenage problems, adult problems, animal training and or breeding, travel, music, on and on. You name it, there's a Forum where people gather and talk about it, argue about it, exchange ideas about it, laugh about it, etc.

Personally, I belong to many forums that deal with topics of interest to me. I am a member of a Tennis Forum, Dallas Cowboys Forums, NFL Forum, Commander in Chief Forum (TV Show), The West Wing Forum, Survivors Forum, Musicians Forum and now a Political Forum.

Forums are always free to the public and all one needs to have is a valid email address, create a User Identification (ID) or otherwise called a Handle and you're good to go. When signing up, you can elect to provide your correct information such as your name and address (which is really all that's asked) or you can make up a name and address, if you wish your identity to remain personal.

If you have opinions and or knowledge about a particular issue, than you can search the web for that topic's forum and join. Typically, Members are the only ones permitted to Post or Reply to messages posted on a Forum. If you are merely Browsing as a Guest, most likely you will be able to read Post by members of that forum but can not join in on the conversation until you sign up as a Member.

Most all Forums have certain Rules of Conduct which simply state the acceptable etiquette and language allowed in order to keep interactions at a level of respect to another person's opinion. Many Forums such as this one will remove a Post that violates the Board Rules (Which is something you should Read prior to joining any Message Board) and in some cases, Members are Banned from Boards that display a practice of violating the rules on more than one occassion or if the first violation was sever enough to warrant immediate removal of their Membership.

As you become familiar with how these Boards work, you begin to enjoy the conversations and many times find the information contained within, useful.
There is another Board I belong to that deals strictly with Computer operations and problems one might have using a computer. Many times something will go wrong with my computer and on this particular Board, I find the level of knowledge to fix my problem excellent. I will Post a situation and check back frequently until somebody in the World has the answer to my problem.

Topic Two Will discuss how you Post, Reply and Edit on a Message Board

It's generally a good idea to understand the question before you provide the answer
