For many years I've heard countless conjecture about the pending doom of our Planet. On Dec. 31st, 1999, according to many Theorist, the Millennium change on 01/01/2000 was to send all the Networks into a Global crash given computers were not designed to calculate the changes from the 19 hundreds into the 2000. Well it was a little more involved than that but none the less, the results of what was to happen at precisely 01/01/2000 12:00.00 AM promised to be so catastrophic that all the World Banks paid technicians millions to write programs that would save them from massive system breakdowns that could have opened vast gateways for breach into their accounts. Oh but wait .. if all the computers were to crash, then how could someone breach their computers? Oh well, that question was never asked I guess. Anyway, we all know what happened, nothing. It was just another day and life went on. In California, were I'm from in the 80's the Planets were to align themselves in a position that Scientist & Philosophers agreed might cause such an immense level of stress on the San Andreas Fault Line, that we were most likely going to experience an Earth Quake magnitude unlike any previously recorded in American History. There were theories that California was doomed to extinction and we began to see hundreds of people taking this warning so seriously that, some bought up large acres of land in Nevada & Utah, considering this to become the newly formed West Coast after the demise of California. Others simply packed Lock, Stock & Barrel and headed East for safety. But alas, once again Nothing. The Planets aligned, it was a sight to behold for those with Telescopes strong enough to behold and then that was that. Michel de Nostredame known simply as Nostradamus who lived in the early 1500's, is probably revered as the most respected Predictor of Events to Yet Come and what our infamous Prophet has begun to convince the most skeptical is The End of Days that according to Nostradamus will happen in the year 2012. But most impressively not only did Nostradamus predict this specific date of occurrence, so did the Mayan Civilization, who's understanding and accomplishments of Mathematics & Astronomy are still touted as extraordinary beyond all measures for a people considered Primitive. And one of their most respected works and beliefs is the Dresden Codex. The Dresden Codex contains the highest concentration of astronomical phenomena observations and calculations of any of the surviving texts (it appears that the data in this codex is primarily or exclusively of an astronomical nature). Examination and analysis of this codex reveals that Venus was the most important astronomical object to the Maya, even more important to them than the sun. This theory by the Mayans seem to conclude as well that Dec. 31st 2011 - Jan 1st 2012 will be a time when the particular alignment of the Sun and all the other Planets will cause unyielding effects upon our Planet that we will not survive. And when you factor in the events of Revelations in the New Testament, you find it hard to deny something very big is looming on the horizon that will not be just another day. Will it be the end of life on this Planet? Not sure about that but something very different than what we see daily and how we currently live our lives, depending on where you live, is forth coming and should be taken very seriously. ******************************************************************* Here is an example of the Mayan Number System:
