The Iowa Supreme Court unanimously rejected a state law Friday that banned same-sex marriage, and opponents wasted little time in pushing for a state constitutional amendment that could send the issue to voters. - (ap) In the Conservative State of Iowa, the Iowa Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Same-Sex Marriage which it appears will not be over-turned. Currently Iowa becomes the 3rd State to Legalize Same-Sex Marriage and Vermont will join the list in Sept. 2009. Because of the ongoing battles between Church & State in clarifying the terminology of marriage, a Federal Act had to be initiated (See 1 U.S.C. § 7) |
