Hey Nancy ** Not sure how old U R but I get the feeling U R kinda young * maybe wrong and if I am sorry bout that. I don't mean it as a dig but Race issues R pretty common ploys especially when it comes 2 politics. U C the problem I have with the whole issue is, did anybody ask themself the question, what would Clinton have gained by making a negative jesture about Obama's color? UC I don't think anybody realizes Bill Clinton may have problems with credibility but he's no fool. Even though I tend 2 B on the Right, I don't C Clinton as bad as most. I think the guy is pretty cool enuf. I actually believe if he were running 4 Prez, the nomination 4 the Dems would have been done by now. As much as people claim they don't like him, he'll win everytime. Repubs don't like running against this guy and the media tries 2 make a big deal outta everything he says just 2 get him pushed back from the stage. Have U noticed the only stuff U hear from Bill R soundbytes? The reason is, if the media were to run a whole segment of his stumps 4 Hillary, people would start 2 listen 2 what he is saying. The guy was President 4 - 2 terms & could have won it 4 Gore if Gore had used him instead of acting like a big baby (imo). Anyway Nanc, the Race Card is complicated at best. I don't think there's any clear answer to JohnnyO's Q concerning the Race Card. If U R White. Black contend U have no idea what it's like 2 live as a Black. But ny the same token, Blacks don't know what it's like 2 B White either. And neither have the upper hand as I C it. Obama has 2 huge blocks of support right now. Teens and Blacks who R determined 2 go 2 the Polls. And now U Dems R saying if your person doesn't get nominated, you're not voting 4 the other. I suppose that's great news 4 Mac bcuz all he has 2 do is sit back and watch the game, save his money, get a tan, have his cool looking wife let her hair down every once in awhile and remind people that National Defense and remaining strong in the Middle East is hugely important. |
