If anyone is planning to disassemble their DS ask me before you screw yourself. Over the past couple days I have repeatedly disassembled my DS and reassembled it many times. I can save you a lot of headache. (although the first time with the screws will be a headache no matter what.) Plus when your touch screen stops displaying I can help you.

I still have not fixed my DS though, but I have one more idea... maybe somehow my silicon for my touch screen got dirty. It isn't food and nothing is in the touch screen so after that I'll be stumped! Does anyone know what cleaners can be used on silicon drives?
(I should try putting my GBA slot in my DS instead of the DS slot then maybe I can play GBC and GB games on my DS.) Maybe I'll just start a FAQ here! (BTW according to the current TOS this is allowed)

How to take apart your DS and put it back together and still have it work.Disclaimer: I am not responsible if you royally screw this up and destroy your DS! Failure to follow my instruction increases your chance of turning your DS into a paper weight!
Spoiler: click to toggle

I have a problem with my DS as well, but it is button related (the left trigger is messed up.) I posted this at Gamespot.com and some one suggested I check Youtube for what do to do, you could probably do the same thing for your problem.

I did check. I'd probably take it apart and make sure the spring is right, your silicon could be dirty too.

Maybe, but I can here the spring, it sounds the same, also it sometimes works, so I think it might be a wire problem, thanks for the tip though.
