The professor was in mid-sentence, when the room was suddenly plunged into darkness. Erik's body reacted on instinct, his eyes turning "feral" which allowed him to see clearly in the dark. The issue was not that the power had gone out, but rather, the fact that the backup generators did not react. He saw Roman fumbling around to reclaim his gear while the professor maintained his position behind his desk and Sue just stood in place exactly where she had been the whole time. The cowboy was incredibly tense, Erik didn't need to hear his heartbeat or smell the sweat coming off his body to see that. He turned back to the party to address his concerns. "This is going to sound a little strange, but now, just now, I saw some sort of...insanely powerful aura pass by the door, and this amulet only reacts when there is a certain kind of trouble around." This was turning out to be a rather strange day. Between the girl who could heal her wounds instantaneously and a man who looks displaced out of time who can sense the auras of other beings, it felt like another day on the job. While Erik has had his fair share of misadventures, he always marveled at how he managed to attract trouble and land himself in a bizarre situation. "I can't prove anything but I have a hunch that whatever made the power go out wasn't this storm, and it's in this building. Will you help me out? I'll explain everything as we go. We will need you too Professor..." And there it was, the invitation for potential shenanigans. It wasn't like he would deny the offer or even consider doing so; besides being the kind of person to help those in need, he was just as curious as to whatever it was that was causing the black out. He nodded in the blackness, the motion visible under the flashlight's illumination before turning back to Sue and the professor. "We'll go check things out, you guys stay here. Lord knows what he sees out there." Erik cautiously approached the door and slowly turned the handle, the door creaking as he slowly opened it. He peered through the corridor, his night vision allowing him to see as if it was clear as day. He saw nothing out of the ordinary, but his gut told him something lay in wait for them and it was very close. The corridor was long and wrapped around a corner about 50 meters from their position. The stairwell was about 10 meters down the corridor from the professor's door. Between those two areas and every office and lecture hall door down said corridor, the entity Roman saw could surprise them from any position. They had no tactical advantage aside from said ability, which prompted Erik to address the cowboy as he slowly moved out into the corridor. "Alright, dude, where's your aura now?" |

The rain dripped on their faces, as Fenix conjured lanes of ice in front of him, allowing Keira and him to slide onto the icy lanes as they moved across the sky of the city. Keira held tightly onto Fenix's left arm, leaving him with one free arm to conjure the ice beneath their feet that protected them from falling to their deaths. "Why did let you talk me into this?!" Keira yelled and screamed in fear of her life as she held tightly onto Fenix's arm. "Because it's the fastest way to reach that college without having to endure this fucked up Wetter anymore than we have to!" Fenix yelled back. The two used the height that separated them from the ground and pedestrians below as factor to speak as loudly as they could, giving how the rain and lightning was dampening their sound. "Flying through the city on ice in the middle of the public is one thing, but doing it so high up in this weather?!" She yelled, closing her eyes every time Fenix conjured a downhill icy lane in order to use their momentum to continue their motion. "Mein Gott, I'm fucking a scaredy cat! Man the fuck up will ya? Besides, you gotta feel free from the speed on dieses Eis!" Fenix shouted and cheered, as he conjured an ascending icy lane that carried them upwards after descending at an incredible speed. "It's bad enough that you're cramping my style. I'm going easy for ya, you know?" He yelled and smirked as Keira screamed in panic. "I wanna kill you right now!" She yelled as she held his arm tightly. "Und ich möchte jetzt dich ficken!" He yelled back and laughed as ice continued to shoot out of his right palm, forming the icy "road" they were sliding upon. "If we get back home safely, maybe you will!" She raised her voice, her lips smiling and her teeth gritted in both pleasure of what Fenix wanted, and in fear of falling off. The ice finally descended in slide construct to lower the duo onto the solid roof of the college building. Keira bowed, placing her hands onto her knees as she gasped for breath, trying to calm herself down. Fenix shook his head and laughed. "Dein Körper ist kaputt?" he lowered his upper half so that his eyes could see Keira's eyes. Keira lifted her upper half into an upright position and pushed Fenix away. "Fuck you shit head." she smirked as she pushed him. She walked onto the roof, looking for the entrance to the building below. "Es ist das?" Fenix asked, as Keira made her way towards a ventilation shaft. "Yeah, that's what the contact said." Keira replied as she yanked the cover and opened the shaft for them. "I hope he doesn't turn on us like that last fucker." He shook his head, reluctant to enter. "Rule number 1: Don't fuck with the eis lukier, remember? That's what he did! Let's just hope your clan has given up their search for you." Keira said, trying to comfort. "Ja ja ja, und why does that gauntlet of yours smell of that Testament bullshit? You do remember what happened last time?" Even though Fenix was being his cynical disrespectful self, the mention of that last encounter made him fond of Keira even more; if she wasn't there that day, he would probably be dead. Keira shuddered when she heard the word 'Testament'. "Don't jinx it, you. Now, hurry up and get inside. This weather is unnatural." Fenix smiled, approached Keira and kissed her. "For luck." He said softly, before jumping into the shaft. Keira smiled after what he said, and jumped in after him. "GUESS WHO IS BACK IN ITALICS AND USING HIS SURREPTITIOUSLY SOUNDING TEXT AS AN INTERLUDE BETWEEN THE TWO ACTS? TA NAA NAA NAAAAAAAAAA! He he he he he he!" Keira walked in front of Fenix with a flashlight in one hand and a gun in another, illuminating the dark corridors as they maneuvered them. "Was passiert hier?" "The storm probably fried the circuits." The two moved through the corridors until Keira's light passed over people; she held her gun at the ready. "Alright, dude, where's your aura now?" |

God, everything was soaked. Pages of work, lost. The textbooks would probably need a good blow drying before they'd be usable again, and that's if the ink stayed on the page. Good luck even trying to sell them back to the store at this point; maybe on the internet to some poor soul who wants college textbooks for $20 or less. She shivered, partly from this realization, mostly because of the cold water dripping off her skin onto the ground. Whatever, it was still better than having her teeth knocked down her throat...or worse. Sue sighed, resigning her books to whatever fate the gods of weather had for them, and herself to walking about the room and taking a gander at the collected historical pieces hidden away behind glass. This stuff really belonged in a museum, given how old it was; how the school afforded to keep this all here was beyond her comprehension. It was almost enough to distract her from the conversation unfolding without her, something regarding guns and boots. But, talking about the old didn't really interest Sue as much as creating the new; the only reason to really bother with the past was to refine the details, make something new, something better out of the outdated, obsolete pieces. Adrenaline suddenly poured into her system. All at once, the room blacked out. There wasn't even a hint of sunlight; they probably built over the window so there less risk of photo-deterioration. In the darkness, she listened to everyone around her, as the professor fumbled for a light. Suddenly, a thump, a scratching, above her head. "The roof," Sue gasped. Waves of nausea began to overwhelm her, her senses beginning to blur. Something was wrong, like preternaturally wrong with this situation. She heard bits and pieces...amulets, auras, something here. "We'll go check things out, you guys stay here," Erik's voice called out. "Lord knows what he sees out there." "Are you crazy?" Sue snapped back. She sighed, dumbstruck. Great, she was probably the only person here who even could do something, gunslinger withstanding. If he could sense something eldritch out there, what good was a gun going to do? She looked at the professor, quickly realizing that she already signed herself up for protecting people weeks ago, it's not like she could back out of it now. "Come on, Doctor Ford," she said, "Hank Williams says he needs you, and it's not like we're any safer in a dead end." She crept up behind Erik, books clutched close to her chest. There was a brief flash illuminating the hallway, and then darkness again. "Shit, what was that?" she whispered. It was a faint glow, slowly getting brighter. She moved herself closer to the edge of the doorframe, just in case something happened. |

Blasts of gunfire hammered the warehouse as a firefight wages between the cronies of Boss Diamond against a solitary mercenary tore apart the place. One by one, the cronies fell, their bodies either blasted to oblivion or hewn to pieces, until finally one decided to make a break for it towards the open door. He was half-way through the maze of boxes when the gunfire suddenly stopped. The nervous man didn't stop to wonder; he had the idea that he was the last one alive, and he was planning to extend that for as long as possible. After deathly silent twists and turns, he found the way out. Bolting for the door, he yanked it open and shut it behind him. Sliding down behind the door, he dared to breathe in relief. If the merc knew where he was, he would have already been dead. Perhaps he thought he killed them all already. The boss wasn't going to be happy when he heard about this. He began to wonder if it was healthier to skip town. His chest burst open suddenly. His breath was gone from his body, but he could see a long blade shooting out of his chest cavity like an alien. As quickly as it came, it withdrew and he flopped over, the life bleeding away. Back on the other side of the door, the mercenary with yellow eyes whipped his sword Bane around, the blood sliding away like water. "That's just rude, you know?" he said. "At least have the decent to say goodbye." Viper, one of the most dangerous mercenaries on the planet, had just finished another meeting with Boss Diamond. He had been tracking the kingpin for a couple months, continuously disrupting his business, quite bloodily too. He was trying to piss off the kingpin enough for him to get some attention. If he did, he should so something desperate and stupid. When that happened, the targets of the underworld will come lining up. It would make his job so much easier. He pulled an earpiece from a pocket and place it in his ear. "Another shipment down for the count. If this one doesn't piss of the Boss, I might start getting pissed." A voice crackled on the other end. "I'm sure he'll know soon enough. So will the cops; I'm already getting chatter from the blues." "That's my cue to 'amscray'. Let me know when the diamond wants to play again, Towelhead. There was a brief silence on the other end. Viper had to smirk to himself. "Towelhead" was his little name for his tech-savvy Sunni Muslim from India. A turban is a turban is a turban...even though he never wore one. It was a name that annoyed him, but it stuck. "I did get something else. There's some chatter going on at a nearby university. Sounds like a power out thanks to the storm, but you know how this place seems to be a hotspot for the weird." "Don't I know it," thought Viper aloud. "What's the matter? Slow day at the office?" "Until we get word from the Boss? Yeah. There's nothing else going on until that happens. Either you kill time out there in the rain or you kill time back here, and we're fresh out of the hard stuff. Fist took the last one." "Remind me to fucking kill him when I get back," Viper sighed. "Noted. Like I said, there's nothing going on right now." "Fine, I'll drop by the university, but if it's boring--and it's gonna be--I'm coming back to kill a certain someone. Got it?" Not giving "Towelhead" a chance to answer, he pulled the headset out of his ear. Viper had a few peeps back home, as it were. Towelhead was the tech guy, Fist was one of the muscle, and then there was Jailbait; perky as they come, but god help you if you pissed her off. It could be hours before any of them heard from the kingpin. "Hmm, well, I suppose I could always get that management degree. I'm already telling bitches what to do..." |

(Fenix, I had to fix your post regarding my character's text colour but, for future reference, they're all in my profiles.) The light quickly washed over the group, but before it even did, Erik already knew there were two people at the source. His senses picked up two heartbeats and the whispering of two voices. There were also two distinctive scents wafting his way, one of which was clearly a woman wearing expensive perfume. A feral growl escaped his throat through instinct and his body shot forward, directly towards the source. His body began to metamorphose more to accommodate his next plan; muscles bulged throughout his body and claws erupted from his digits while he swerved his body to one side of the corridor, continuing his mad dash across the wall, then the ceiling. The feat practically defied the laws of physics, but he had trained himself long and hard enough to be able to accomplish this without much trouble. His eyes caught the interlopers in the dark, and, once he was at a close enough distance, he lunged towards the closest one, the male in the leather jacket, aiming to plunge his claws into his shoulders as he tackled him to the ground. |

"Fick dich motherfucker!" Fenix yelled when the assailant ran towards the duo, as Keira tried to focus the flashlight on the transforming monster. Fenix instinctively conjured a very thick icy wall that would resist shattering easily near his side, to hinder the claws in their track. "What the hell is that?!" She yelled as she fired a few bullets towards the beast, trying to keep him in her field of vision with her flashlight. "Diese Zeit ist für Bewegung!" Fenix yelled as his right arm transformed into an icy blade that was sharp enough to cut through flesh, and made a few swings towards the beast. |

As Roman, Erik Professor Ford, and Sue began their trek through the hallway, the cowboy began using his eyes to try and focus on the aura he had just seen. Even in the darkness, he was sure he would see something of that caliber. It was frightening. It was like a swirling mass of energy in chaotic fashion, like trying to contain damnation. He would be sure he would be able to see it if it was close. Instead, he was able to see something entirely. As they stepped out of the hallway and Erik was talking to him, they were momentarily blinded by what appeared to be flashlight several times stronger than the little one Roman was using. His eyes however focused on an outlined blue aura, similar to Erik’s, and a swirling red aura, coming from another person. One of them was definitely a caster and these weren't even the problem. Of all the things to run into while the green blob is running around… Roman thought. What happened next he wasn’t really ready for. Erik growled. Like literally growled. Then, in a burst of supernatural speed, he threw himself towards the source of the light. Then he grew claws and began traversing using the ceiling as his avenue. That was certainly different as he would’ve suspected drop ceiling in a place like this, and that shit couldn’t hold up much. Roman had very little time to react, so he decided he would do the most sensible thing. “Sue, Ford, Hank Williams says to get down!” Roman turned his head and barked, not sure what exactly was going on. He pulled his left pistol out just as the crack of gunfire erupted from the barrel of the female’s gun. As Erik was getting shot towards, most of the rounds would be towards the ceiling, but he was also trying to make contact with these people, meaning he would get more on standing level. First rule of gun fighting, make yourself low to the ground, make the target smaller. Second rule, find something to hide behind. That was more of the problem, as the only real cover was a bench used for seating, and Roman was pretty sure that any bullets would riddle a hole through the wood. There was a small notch where the hallway was recessed, just before the entrance to the classroom. Roman motioned for the three of them to make their way over to avoid any stray fire, as he wasn’t sure he or Professor Ford could really handle a slug. He wasn’t sure about Sue and Erik, but he imagined Sue knew better. Erik went charging in, so he got what was coming to him. Sure hope he’s okay... Roman thought. The cowboy bolted across, keeping himself low to the ground as he got the closest he could to keep cover and still establish line of sight. He whipped out the left-handed pistol, trying to establish a shot without hitting Erik. He was able to see a misty aura of what appeared to be…ice. The male had created some icy mass in front of him as a shield, and Erik was now fighting with the male who was slinging some sort of blades made of the same magic ice. As the figure took a step forward to lunge, Roman took the instant to line a shot, and fire two rounds towards the male’s lower section, to at least try and distract him so Erik could do his thing. Then he took a potshot towards the female’s direction, not knowing if it would even get close before he resembled his defensive cover position. Dammit…I can’t wait until campus security gets here for this one… Roman winced in his mind. Edited by Arcana Fang, Jul 21 2015, 10:19 PM.

Instead of digging through flesh, Erik's claws found themselves embedded within a man-sized pillar of ice. The momentum of his free-fall forced the block to the ground, causing it to crack under his weight but not completely shatter. He quickly turned to face the approaching cryomancer, who came at him swinging a blade made of the same ice he was currently kneeling over, prompting him to try to avoid it by leaning his body backwards. Unfortunately, he was too preoccupied to avoid the incoming shots, one of which made its mark into his left shoulder. A yell escaped his mouth as he gritted his teeth to bear with the pain, but it only served to fuel his rage. The leather clad cryomancer had become persistent and Erik had had just about enough of him, hopping back a little and putting his hands beneath the block of ice, flipping it forward straight at his quarry. "FUCK. OFF." He seethed, breathing heavily while he dug his clawed fingers into the bullet hole in his shoulder and pulled the flattened piece of metal out, yelping as he did. He threw the slag back at its owner before realising something was wrong with him. He was unusually angry, yet not the kind of anger that was a result of his feral nature, and his head was throbbing with a migraine. There was something that was providing a constant, irritating stimulus that was affecting his mind; his current actions were completely out of character as there was no reason to his attack, only rage. He finally got his answer when he noticed the crimson droplets on the carpet around the areas where he had been standing. A quick check of his nose confirmed his suspicions: something related to the Testaments was setting off his subconscious, but not enough for him to process the information. He used this opportunity to clear his thoughts before resuming his focus on the battle at hand. Cryomancer and gunslinger. This should be easy. Before he could make his moves, the unmistakable sounds of gunfire echoed from behind as Roman attempted to provide cover fire for him. His partner in crime was clearly at a disadvantage, so his first course was to erect a waist high blockade a little further behind him so Roman could use it as cover while improving his range. His hands glowed with an incandescent green light as said barrier formed behind him, made of the same light. His next step was to form a shield construct over his left arm, protecting him from further becoming the target of gunfire, and, on his right, a well defined blade that could cut and sear through most materials. He leaped at the cryomancer, using his blade to slice through his opponent's like it was butter before continuing his assault and trying to disable him with quick thrusts and swipes. |

She couldn't place when she screamed— When Erik ran past her into certain danger, or when the ballistics buzzed past her, shattering a glass case on the wall at the other end of the room? This was not a good time to die, not when she was still working on her degree, not when she wasn't designing power systems for Isico, not when she was surrounded by people she just met, and now wrapped up in some stupid mystery about some stupid markings on some stupid boots. Roman and Sue crouched at opposite sides of the doorway, the cowboy's gun barking as a few rounds shot down the hallway. Whether he was insane or knew what he was doing, Sue couldn't quite interpret, but she felt hesitant when he motioned for her to follow outside the room. This was not a good time to risk getting shot, regardless of if there were no other exits but out that door. Exits, they needed exits...her eyes wandered the room as inspiration struck. She glanced at the medieval armor on display, and then scrambled over to its side, dropping her books behind her. She grabbed a warhammer from the weapon rack beside it, and then ducked down and rushed out the door, clinging to the professor's side with the heavy metal in her hand. "I have a stupid plan, but I'm not fucking dying!" she shouted over the rampant explosions of powder bursting back and forth from the hall. She hefted her weapon up in both hands, and then swung its hook directly into the wall. The shock to her arms instantly made her regret her decision, but she wasn't demoralized enough to give up yet. "It's an older building," she elaborated to nobody in particular. "It's a layer of plaster, a layer of steel, and brick. You just need to dig through it all to reach the exterior." She was relying on those few layers to protect her from stray bullets, in fact. God only knows how reliable ballistics can be after they hit something solid enough to ruin their spin. It didn't make it any easier to break a way out of here, though. Determination filled her mind. She had work to do, and she had to survive to see it through. She swung the warhammer into the wall again, and the pain lessened. She had to save herself at least, and anyone else she could manage to get out of there. She planted the hook into the wall once more, feeling no resistance working against her limbs. When she was done, she was going to put everyone through just as much hell as she was being put through, end of story. She swung at a solid piece of wall, and the hook sunk completely into it. She could see it clearly, as there was no darkness before her; the corner was illuminated in pale light that was growing ever brighter. It washed out from her eyes and mouth, and every uncovered vein glowed from beneath her skin. This was how she was going out if it came to it— as a beacon in the darkness. (Fenix is indisposed, so he asked me to take over for him for a while.) "Ficken diese Scheiße!" Fenix's assault made no progress other than to anger the creature, which in turn responded by hauling the massive block of ice he had made earlier back at him. He had put enough distance between himself and the creature when Keira began firing at it, so as not to get in her way, so when the block came, he had enough time to react. Blade at the ready, he quickly evaded the block, as it went flying behind him and smashing into a nearby door, sliding into the hall beyond. He continued forward, using his momentum to head straight for the creature, which had halted its attack for a moment for some reason. By the time he was in range, his eyes widened in horror at what came next. "Mein Gott! What the fuck is that?!" There appeared to be more to the beast than he anticipated, as it formed constructs, similar to his own, but more well defined and clearly made of a different substance than ice. He found out almost immediately that, whatever it was, it sliced cleanly through his own blade, and melting the area it had made contact with. The creature didn't stop there as it continued to attack him with precision thrusts and swipes, forcing him back to the wall behind him. Keira had, meanwhile, seen the creature pull one of the bullets she had fired cleanly from its wound and toss it back at her like it was nothing. She proceeded to fire at it again, only this time, it had decided to erect a kind of energy shield, protecting itself from incoming fire. As if it wasn't bad enough, someone else began firing in her general direction from down the corridor, forcing her to retreat by kicking down the door of a nearby room and idling within the frame while peaking around the corner. "What the hell do we do?!" Fenix didn't have time to respond, clearly preoccupied with the manbeast that was constantly assaulting him. He tried forming another blade, this time on on each arm, but they too were easily disposed of. He quickly formed a layer of ice around his body, one that was thick enough to take a bit of damage, but not too thick so as to hinder his movements. It allowed him to gain his bearings better so that he could go back on the offensive. "You piece of Scheiße, how about YOU verpiss dich!" The eis lukier saw an opening and ducked below a slash, closing in on the creature and landing a punch to its chest then immediately generating enough ice to create a stream to push it back. The beast was tenacious, it tried to resist by holding up its shield, but Fenix continued pouring the torrent on and managed to put enough distance between the two to form a more powerful ice cannon, attached to his body. He gripped it tightly with two hands before firing off a powerful concussive shell at the creature. "Eat a dick!" He wasn't sure how long he could keep this up and hoped Keira would come up with a plan of escape. |

Roman wasn't exactly sure what was going on with Sue, she seemed to be doing her own thing and breaking shit. At least she was thinking of a way to get out. What any sensible person should be doing was going away from danger. Unfortunately, none of them seemed like the sensible bunch. Professor Ford was ducking behind the doorway, trying desperately to peer into his classroom and locate a weapon for himself. Ballsy as ever. Roman was surprised when Erik unleashed what seemed like a barrier of green energy a few feet from his back. Roman's first thought was about what exactly the energy could stop, as he would be dealing with rounds bouncing off it he was sure. Then his second thought was about how Erik was literally cutting this ice-queen-wannabe's blades of frozen death away and bouncing rounds off of the energy of his own creation. That was all the cowboy needed to see. He did a frontal roll across the ground to the waist-height barrier, making sure not to touch it, before sighting the man fighting Erik and releasing a few rounds, approximately four in total, while searching for the other gunslinger. Roman decided to yell, "AND WHAT DO WE OWE THE PLEASURE OF FIGHTING THESE BASTARDS?" The cowboy used the cover as much as he could, bouncing on the pivots of his knees to keep himself low and present the smallest target he could. He was sure worried that the caster was probably long gone by now. --- As Zachariah flowed past the dark and empty classrooms, his body pulsed in the rawest form of energy it could manifest. He was phasing around, trying to locate the energy signature of the other gauntlet located in the building. He was sure it would be underneath several layers of concrete, as someone who put something of that magnitude here was trying to account for both the strangeness of the location and the structure integrity itself. His lineage was alerting him to the presence of the others, or at least something touched by the others. How...bothersome. He would need to find this gauntlet and soon. With both, he would be able to break away the separation and make the cross. He decided to manifest himself, running off the slightest ping of success. His form cascaded into a green coagulation, before returning the features of the man in the suit just moments before. In his right hand, in which was holding his scepter and the gauntlet, he reeled back as two motes of light came off of the object and landed a mere two feet in front of him. His henchmen, the bald men in their own suits, stood now. Their forms were massive, and their eyes were as dull as ever. "Alright, boys, I'm going to need to blast away this concrete, keep my back covered." The henchmen nodded as they turned their backs towards their master and kept a watch on the hallway. Zachariah's scepter let forth a blast of green energy, literally ripping away the concrete and steel that made up the floor of the building. The maniac man laughed as he continued to do this, filling the hallway with a eerie sound. |

Erik took full control of the fight, utilising his abilities and training to their necessary potential to dominate the opposition. The haze that covered his mind was completely washed away and nothing but clarity shone through, giving him an adrenaline rush as he continued to push forward. The cryomancer was losing his edge and was backed into a corner, going on the defensive and forming some kind of icy armour. It would do little good as Erik pierced through it with precision attacks from his energy blade. "AND WHAT DO WE OWE THE PLEASURE OF FIGHTING THESE BASTARDS?" "HELL IF I KNOW! WHY DON'T YA TRY READING THEIR AURAS OR SOMETHING?" Unfortunately, his opponent saw an opening while Erik was slightly preoccupied with his response and made his move, landing a powerful, ice encrusted punch straight for his gut, knocking the wind out of him. He reeled back, trying to breathe, but before he could regain his composure, a powerful blast of ice hammered at him, forcing his body further back down the corridor. "Guh...god...damn..." He held up his shield to defend against the unyielding blast of cold energy but, despite regaining his footing, he continued to slide back. His body transformed further, bulking up enough to give him the necessary strength to hold his ground. His canines began to elongate into fangs, his ears took on a pointier shape and his hair grew slightly in length, losing its natural colour and taking on a silvery texture. Erik was about ready to counter with an attack of his own, when the cryomancer suddenly halted, prompting Erik to look up from his shield. What he saw next caused his eyes to widen. "Eat a dick!" The massive ice cannon strapped to his body fired off a concentrated ball straight for his position. He hurriedly turned around and dove behind the barrier he had erected before, using his energy to increase its height to block off the entire corridor from the ensuing blast. The ball hit the ground and exploded with full force, sending out ice shrapnel throughout the area. The shards pelted at the barrier, but dissolved on contact, Erik and Roman completely protected behind it. Erik peered through the clear green shield to see their quarry still in position. "Getting tired of this guy's shit. Breaks into the building and acts like he owns the place." Erik scaled back his form, his features mostly returning to their natural state, aside from his eyes, so he could see through the darkness of the corridor. The barrier did help illuminate the immediate area as well, but he preferred to keep his options open. He had an idea on how to subdue the cryomancer, or at least, force him down, but the unpredictability of the marksman hiding out in one of the rooms would leave him wide open. "Think you can you take care of Annie Oakley while I neuter the angry snow bunny over there?" Erik turned to the barrier and pushed it forward, the massive block zooming down the corridor straight for the stationary cryomancer. Its purpose is to knock him back up against the wall, then encase him in a bubble that would hold him in place. |
