Decent fans respond by starting petitions. Harada says he might reconsider if voices for her are louder than those against her.

It isn't fair to deprive an entire region of a potentially interesting character just because a bunch of whiny douchebags too uncomfortable with their sexuality started crying to mama about how the silly little catgirl is ruining their franchise.

That aside, apparently all this vitriol came from only ONE message board and isn't as universal as the internet has had you believe.
