Cracked did an article about why the police is getting scarier, and one of the reasons is that they're getting surplus military weapons that they really don't need and will likely never have a legitimate use for.

A woman was waiting for her son and husband to use the toilet when the cops told her to move along. When she replied that she'd do it as soon as she was reuinited with her peers, the cops forcefully arrested her for literally no reason and hurled all sorts of abuse at her, racial and sexual alike. She then turned out to be a human rights attorney. WHOOPS

First that Ferguson chief of police dismissing the state's senator and going 'aw, shit' when he was told who she was, now this. Apparently you have to be a certain level of stupid to work in law enforcement.
