Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	I saw the link and thought they were releasing 170 different types of CEs, like Watch Dogs, but then it was just about the price and I was all, eh, if people are willing to pay, that's fine, considering how most large CEs cost that much anyway and, even if they don't, they end up doing so when they're put up on sale online at a later date. Then I read this: Quote: it would be exclusive to GameStop. Just...why? Seriously, you're already releasing it at a limited run, make it fucking available everywhere. If you're going to tout exclusivity, at least do it through your own store or something. Either way, at the end of the day, this box will become incredibly redundant the second a GOTY edition is released, or a Dragon Age Trilogy or something. Honestly, as cool as all that shit is, it doesn't seem worth the money.

Looking through the comments for the link, this post pretty much summed up what a proper CE should have and how it should be priced: Quote: I remember when I got the Warhammer Online CE... now THAT was a CE, massive hardbound art book, limited edition metal miniature plus rules for using him in a table top game, hardbound graphic novel and a mouse pad... and cost considerably less than this did. The prices of these collectors editions is an absolute piss take these days, all I want is a decent (as in 200+ page PREMIUM minimum size of A4) art book, some in game customisation goodies (say swappable weapon/armour skins, unique hair options etc. nothing game breaking), a making of DVD or a Soundtrack CD and maybe a mouse mat or small figure that'll actually fit on my book case if they are feeling generous. And for that I'd quite happily fork over �60 - �70. But for what you get and what they are asking and for what? A pretty box that it comes in? Yeah they can seriously suck the big one. The only thing I'd disagree with is the "small figure", as I'd much rather have a big one.

And they're claming that "it's part of a test." For one thing: That doesn't even look like the original Peggle. Looks more like Peggle 2. And secondly (but more importantly): WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK, EA?!.
