Matter of fact I believe it was only recently manufactured officially in Brazil, which until then had to import it. Could be that they're expecting sales more from those regions than any of us. Though personally I don't see the point, as the differences between FIFA'12 and FIFA'13 are bound not to amount to much anyway.

Because price gouging only offers higher returns if there are actually people there to buy into it, and I can't think of many who would consider buying digital games for retail prices. Sadly, EA seems to survive explicitly because they somehow have an audience of zombies that will actually defend them and buy into it, and for the life of me I can't understand how they manage that in spite of the mountain of bad publicity they've amassed.
