Ordinarily I wouldn't consider this newsworthy if not for the fact that Social has its own microtransaction system, and rather than reimbursing their spent money towards another of their products after they become unusable like any sane developer would, their solution literally amounted to "lol, splurge it all before the game shuts down, because you ain't gettin' it back!". Classic EA. Also in other news, layoffs in EA's customer service. Considering their customer service was already notoriously horrible to begin with... yeah, expect things to get a whole lot worse.

I think it's now safe to say we can add "blatant fucking sellouts" to that list. Someone explain to me, who in their right mind would put a DLC code for a city management sim inside a tube of fucking toothpaste? EDIT: Hahahaha, oh wow, it gets even better. Here's to hoping that people's wallets are finally speaking loud enough for these rancid publishers to take note and to just drop this AAA bullshit and go back to making games that are fun, not ones that cost billions to make.
