No. He felt "entitled" to sex and a girlfriend and just wow. This actually makes me sick to think about. Because he may have had mental issues, but that alone can't cover all of his beliefs. Our country, as a society, has no idea what to do with mental health issues and we collectively either pretend they don't exist or just blame the person when it should be treated like any other public health issues. It's awful people have to die over this.

One report, which I can't find for the life of me now because CNN.com is shite, said he claimed to be a "kissless" virgin, but none of his journal entries that I saw (I'm /not/ reading all of that, it makes me sad enough as is with just the excerpts) noted any bullying, just self imposed hate. That's the big thing that makes me wonder, I didn't get a real kiss til I was 21, and sure I hated that fact but I didn't hate the women that denied me. Part of me wants to say movies and media where guys "always get the girl" but not even that puts anyone near the path this requires.

He just had a horrible lesson that money and privilege can't but everything and he reacted like a 2-year-old. If there is a soul who misses him (beyond his parents), he or she might have something to reveal about this guy. if there isn't a soul who misses him, then he deserves no place in history. Master Posts: 622 Group: Elite Member #62 Joined: November 9, 2009	I'm all for the right to bear arms, but some people seriously need to be evaluated. I still think you should not simply pass a background check for not having previously committed violent crimes, but go through classes in both weapons safety, care, maintenance, and then marksmanship. The Simpsons did it best when Homer was confronted with a background check and waiting period: "but I'm angry now." Just going through hoops and having to work towards something and wait would discourage a lot of people not in it for sport or a hobby, as well as weed out a lot of people who may be wanting weapons for the wrong reasons, though I'm not saying that's 100% effective either. I wish I had an answer for how to safely weed out mentally unstable people from firearms ownership without creating a way to discriminate against all persons with any history of mental health issues in other areas besides firearms. Yet again, it's one of those slippery slope things. Also yes, America needs to really unfuck itself and cut the ties between gun culture and perceived machismo.
