From the looks of things, the Collector's Edition doesn't get any of the Deluxe Edition stuff. Fucking what?

Alright, so Majins and Freiza race characters also get transformations now! Definitely nice to see.

Jaco returns, Android 16 joins the fray, Cell's imperfect forms are available, and Bardock joins the dark side

Every race now has a transformation: Saiyans have Super Saiyan forms, Frieza Clan has golden mode, Majins have Kid Mode, Earthlings get the Nimbus Cloud and Power Pole, and Namekians can turn into giants.

So, having managed to play through all of Xenoverse 2's story (which I am still struggling to do in the original, especially after remaking my character, which strangely does not reset any of your progress) it definitely feels like they've significantly improved the game in general. Save for online. Netcode still seems to suck balls, 'cos everyone in the online lobbies for parallel quests and other missions on PS4 is a red bar. Even players from Japan, which is closest to Australia, geographically.

I'm gonna talk a bit about what I feel is improved (spoiler tagged for people who haven't yet played it):

The stuff that's better and/or changed

More to follow if I remember more. I really do feel like Xeno 2 is a significantly better game. Shame the PC version is currently riddled with bugs, apparently.

I have a couple of things to add to Luffy's observations.

-The rival AI is a lot different from the original. It's no longer cheap with obnoxious-ass super-armor and infinite ki, which you can see now that you can read your opponent's ki and stamina. In exchange, however, it's also smarter and more aggressive. Long story short, the enemy AI is harder, but a lot more fair.

-There are multiple forms of Super Saiyan, like in the last game. You can unlock the average Super Saiyan at level 30, which boosts melee attack power. At level 60, you can unlock a "Super Vegeta" transformation that favors ki blast power. There is also "Future Super Saiyan", which strikes a balance in increasing melee and ranged attack power. It's unlocked in the endgame.

-Mentors are unlocked over the course of the game, and the lessons/attacks they provide is based on your training level, which increases with aptitude tests you take at the school. For instance, I took up Cell after beating the story, but my training level was so high that I unlocked his lessons and moves one after the other without having to train inbetween.

-Dragonball farming is much easier and not nearly as dependent on RNGesus. You just need to find NPCs in the city with blue exclamation marks over their heads, challenge them, beat them, and boom. One Dragonball in the bag.

-Speaking of RNGesus, most of the moves, equipment, and Super Souls in the game can be bought. You don't need to farm PQs as much.

-The customization options for CaCs are vastly expanded! Always a plus for me. X3
