Well, if I wanted to run a 'spam Ki Supers everyday' set, I just wished for the Journey to the West costume that would basically enable me to do exactly that. On top of having a couple of Vegeta's Z-Souls, which are ALSO Ki Super-oriented. Makes me think that my choice of having a balanced offense wasn't such a bad one. At least I can adjust my supers to account for this, because goddamn. Not sure if those little arrows are a 1-1 translations of how many points you gain and lose or what, but if they are it's -16 to Basic Attacks and Strike Supers, and +16 to Health and Ki Supers. Which might actually not be completely stupid, since I'm running a human and they have Ki regen. |

I remember there was a very specific MMO that allowed you to customise the appearance of any armour you get based on other looks within the game. As an aside, Spiral Knights lets you equip one armour for actual stat boosts and another as a cosmetic. Why every MMO under the sun hasn't adopted this policy is beyond me. |

You're probably not talking about FFXIV, but FFXIV has that exact system in glamours. Which allows you to project the appearance of weaker gear over stronger gear. For example, on my Adamantoise server character (though you can't see it exactly since I logged out as Dragoon last I played,) I have the item level 110 Gladiator weapon, Burtgang, glamoured to look like Lightning's weapon, the Blazefire Saber, which you could obtain through a sereies of special crossover event quests from Lightning Returns. Though you do have to have reached level 50 as at least one class (whether it has to be a combat class or if any class works I do not know) before you can complete the quest that unlocks the ability to glamour, so until then you kind of have to put up with terrible looking gear with decent stats. Nah, transmog is a horrible system; especially when it's put behind a level or currency requirement. While PSO2's split of armor and outfit is nice, I'd have to say that Rift's system is the best I've seen. They outright have an entire second set of armor slots dedicated as cosmetic slots, as well as a dying system. You NEVER have to worry about clownsuiting since you don't have to unequip the armor in your cosmetic slot in order to switch the stat armor out for an upgrade. brb checking if RIFT has gone to freetoplay yet. |

Gotta chime in that Spiral Knight's approach is a good one too, though they do have the advantage of having powerful equipment that looks good anyway. It's not an MMO but honestly Terraria's approach is pretty darn polished at this stage. Dying system isn't perfect, but it still gives you a ton of options. Designs aside, I finally managed to complete Ginyu's training. Milky Cannon is by and far the best Ki Blast super I've seen so far just because it's basically a homing proximity mine and all I've seen so far are scattershots, beam specials, or downright impractical moves with more flash than function. I mean, you know it's bad when Destructo Disk is more practical than anything prior to the end of the Ginyu saga. |

At this time, I'd like to praise PSO2 once more. Costumes are completely separate from armor (or Units, in the game's parlance), and if you don't like the way a piece of armor looks on you, you can hide it. As for weapons, you have the option to apply a weapon camo. Granted, most weapon camos look like joke weapons, but most weapons look neat as they are. |

PSO2 does a fantastic free to play model, but it's outfit options are limited to a single full-body slot(excluding Casts, who have torso, arm, and leg parts), so it's a bit limited all things considered. (Wide selection, granted, but still ultimately limited compared to PSU) |

I've seen a few of my shipmates playing the game but I wanna know if it's worth even getting. I am kinda dissatisfied with how Ultimate Tenkiechi gameplay was but fucking loved the piss out of DBZ BT3 just due to the controls and feeling in control. Does Xenoverse give that same feel or is it not worth it? |

Xenoverse is nothing like UT, thank god. It plays like a combination between BT, Budokai, and Dynasty Warriors. |

If you like uneven competition in your over simplified fighting games, go for it. The flying and perspective is a little step up from Battle of Z and the fighting is like... well not as fun as other ones.

Okay, since no one seems to be posting in this topic I may as well talk about it a bit. The DLC packs for the game appear to be out... save for a rather confusing third pack that doesn't seem to contain too much. First and second add a GT Saga and about six Parallel Quests to go with it, along with a bunch of skills and equipment. Third just gives you full sets of equipment based on Revival of Frieza but there's nothing else at the moment. I'd wager that they do have a brief saga planned for it but are holding back on it for now to avoid movie spoilers. Or at least anything the trailers haven't spoiled. I'd wager that once the movie's out for a bit we'll see things like a Saga, PQs, and new playable characters. Other than that, remember how we were complaining about how costume variety sucks? Well... I'd wager I'm rocking a pretty solid look. This sacrifices basic attacks and strike supers for massive boosts to Health and Ki Blast Supers, and while the vanbraces are a little out of place the customizable color scheme works out better than anything else I could find. Gogeta's wrist bands work a bit better for simplicity's sake, but contradicted the nature of the set slightly. I used Saiyuki Costume chest, 4-Star Dragonball wrist, GT Goku pants, and Saiyuki Costume feet. Accessory is the second Turtle Hermit glasses. Basically, mixing sets lets you make a new look without being too ridiculous. |
