BTW, the game is okay but I wouldn't drop $50++ into it. It's got horrible RNG drops for skills and equips that makes MonHun3 look generous. Character creation is surprisingly limited, and only Sayians get any form of superform with 3 or 4 options to pick from. (Everyone getting access to different levels of Kaioken, which are kinda shitty.) Because of that last part, the metagame is playing sayains using SuperSayianVageta2, which not only gives them 20 seconds of unlimited ki ultmates, but boosts the damage of ki ultimates as well thanks to SSV2. The only viable builds are dumping all into Ki ultimates or striker ultimates, and even without SSJ strikers fall behind. If you're foolish to attempt a balanced build you're going to find yourself grinding for dragonballs so you can make your first wish be a stat reallocation wish. Speaking of dragonballs, never wish for money, you only get like 500,000. Money is almost useless, as the skills and equips in shops quickly fall behind in quality to mission drops and are relatively inexpensive. The only things to buy late-game are the consumable potions. This game really dropped the ball by making outfits have stats and not including vanity slots. At least you can change color on some things as you'd like. |

Most of the singleplayer content is cakewalk. When you get to the later nonstory missions, you want to be able to complete them as fast as possible ad drops are based on your score and completing certain objective conditions. Because of the fucky RNG, you want to be able to complete these missions a quickly as possible to retry it. Also, you only get one character slot until you complete the main storyline; finishing the Demon God saga. (There are locked sagas which require grinding for drops for) The game is not well balanced, and has almost zero hacking protection either. (including onlinemode hacking) Also, Sayian females have in infinite melee combo they can do that ki-dodging out of doesn't always work against. All and all, the game is horribly balanced. It's a cute DBZ experience, but unless things change significantly due to patches it's pretty fucky. |

Can't say I'm surprised about balancing personally. DB games have never been particularly big on balance - sometimes it makes me wonder if everyone bar SS4 Goku and SS2 Gohan are technically joke characters. My brother has the game on his Xbone. I guess the fact that he was replaying the same missions obsessively should have been some foreshadowing. |

I tried the Destiny demo and it was alright, but these mmo hubs are so annoyingly intimidating. I didn't even think about balance, but yeah that on top of wonky gameplay isn't worth this price. |

Hey, you guys could've waited for a sale or until more gameplay footage was up along with video reviews before you paid the $50. I'm honestly just happy we're getting this on PC, plus I threw in the money for the pre-order goodies. |

I pirated it because there was no demo nor VAC protection for the game, meaning it has little protection. It's why hacking is so rampant. Granted, I didn't really try playing proper online modes because I couldn't since the servers have been fucked up since day one:very few people got to play online until only recently-ish. I mainly pirated it to see how the character creator was, and was disappointed. There are no plans in the season pass that mention adding more character customization options either. (If the game was good I honestly would have prolly forked out the $50 for it) Also, because no data is stored server-side, you can obtain the preorder and other DLC content through using a pirate copy and transferring the files to your steam folder should you decide to buy the game. You can pretty much tell that they're planning an XVI with how little they intend on adding to the game and not balancing it. ALSO also, the balance issues mainly relate to the CaC's. Even Hurcule and Yamcha can be played well in the right hands, since CaCs do not have access to EVERY super or ultimate that Playable characters have. Edited by Ekoi, Mar 4 2015, 05:12 PM.

Actually, the DLC that includes the GT characters will also have some more costumes. As for the server issues: yeah, that's fucked up. There is a small workaround for it, though: you won't be able to go into the online lobbies, but you'll still be able to do online PvP and PQs. All you need to do is disconnect from the internet (or sign out of PSN/XBL) before starting the game, let the game begin in offline mode, then reconnect your internet (or sign back into PSN/XBL). |
