Cagey posted this in the general thread. Like I said, don't see what all the fuss is about, it's just ANOTHER DBZ fighting game. It's kinda getting tired and old, considering they barely add anything of value to make one game different from the previous. |

This should be moved into the general section, as it's also in developement for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, according to the original post Keiji made (as referenced by Seeco) and also the actual website, also posted by Keiji. In the wrong topic. As per usual :P That said, there's really not much to go on here, but given that the site has a section for a currently unannounced Dragon Ball movie, I'd imagine that unfamiliar face in the top right screenshot will be featured in said movie, much like the God of Destruction, Beerus and his lackey in Battle of Gods/God and God. I'm more willing to bet the unfamiliar face is a create your character...character. Look at him, he's a mishmash of Future Trunks's jacket, a Namekian cape, a scouter and Gohan's hair, but red (maybe implying god form or whatever it was called). I certainly HOPE they applied a REAL create a character mode in this game, unlike their last feeble attempt. EDIT: Just noticed the Dragonball Kai logo in the bottom right corner of the page, so that might be implicative of something, possibly that the title of this game won't have a Z in it. |

Seems to be a fad, with Spidey 2's XBone version getting cancelled. Maybe it's very hard to develop for the console's hardware and porting's a bitch? I really have no clue. |

They both run on the same architecture for once, so if anything cross porting should be much easier. Last gen the PS3's processor fucked basically everything up, but now they're both running on x86/64. And I doubt it's the power gap either, because they're still making previous gen ports - if ever there was a problem they could have just taken assets from there and checked to see how far they could upscale it. It's kind of mystifying to be honest, because it seems to me like a deliberate decision on someone's part. Reminiscent of the Oddworld situation perhaps? Hard to say. |

Well then, I really have no clue, it is pretty damn mindboggling and a wasted opportunity. If anything, I'm more surprised they're getting backports to previous gen consoles as opposed to putting more focus on the new ones. |

I'm not surprised by the backports, the new consoles have sold nowhere near the numbers required for publishers to walk away from the previous gens |

Nope. The One's physical release was just delayed to early May, according to this article. If anything, they must've had issues with manufacturing the discs or something, because the digital version was stealth released on the Games Store on time. And that was entirely intentional, apparently. So yea. Not a fad. Yet. Of course, the physical Xbox One version still hasn't been released in Australia. Activision's putting it up against Watch_Dogs, the dumbasses. The lack of an Xbox One version for this next DB game may just be because the One still hasn't been released in Japan, IIRC. That, or the guys developing it don't have a devkit. |
