No one believed they'd actually use the Marvel property for this game but, I have to admit, seeing as it's happening, it seems like it could be a great idea.

I like how this franchise is basically one game with additional content (in the form of toys) as opposed to Skylanders constantly releasing new shit.

So they are actually pulling the same shit, because apparently it's too hard to patch the old game to be compatible with the new figures and Power Discs.

Not only would it enable long term support for the game without any form of downloadable DLC, it might actually justify the fucking ludicrous price they're asking for each figurine.

To be fair I was referring to the core data of the character, as in literally everything it needs to function on a game that doesn't already come with them pre-installed. I haven't played it myself so I don't know exactly how much information these silly figurines contain, but I'm finding it hard to imagine it's much more than just a barcode's worth.

That would've immediately made them better than Skylanders and totally worth the investment.

I think this actually means that you can pretty much patch your current Disney Infinity to work with the new stuff, or am I reading this wrong?
