Considering they have no new hardware to showcase and considering how relatively successful they were last year (no thanks to Microsoft), I think that's fine. The Smash tournament though, that's the bomb-diggety, plus live streaming of all their booths? It's like they've just opened E3 to the general public, but without the hassle and cost of actually going. I'm looking forward to things this year, hopefully, Microsoft will pull its head out of its ass and get its shit together, and Sony will announce some grand future plans for the PS4, as well as HOPEFULLY, rectifying the recent shit with the Vita (I'd like to hope they held out on those PS1/PSP games because they were meant to be released post-E3). |

^ They did last year. I'm wondering if they'll give something again like last year. Might go to one around the area at least to check out how Smash is. With regards to E3 2014 in general, I'm hoping for quite a few things but the one I want the most is another Phantom Dust game (announcement). A few days ago, rumours started spreading about the whole "Nintendo's definitely making a new console, guise!!!!111" yet again. This time, the rumour was "NINTENOD IS DEFINITELY SHOWING OFF A NEW CONSOLE ATT E33 GUISE!!!1111oneonetwenty!!!!" despite the fact that, if Nintendo was somehow going to show off a new console... I think they would actually do a proper stage thing. Naturally, representatives have already stepped forward to say "this shit is not happening so stop it." |

Wouldn't make any sense for them to have new hardware anyway... well it would if they want to keep up power/graphically once again, but no... maybe next time for that aspect.

I think that the whole underdog position works as their hook at times... hey everyone take a break from the supposed console wars and chill with the games you can expect to eventually get because we're Nintendo and we'll give you basically the same stuff over and over, but it's ok because all the stuff is always good and we know you'll buy it because childhood memories and stuff. Of course you'll have to deal with our newest lame gimmick and dig your way out of all the shovel-ware that's ultimate value is worth less then the blank discs they were burned on... but hey, give us a chance, wont ya? |
