Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	This article reminded me of a story from a year or so back about how a dad went shopping for his little girl and realised that all the underwear, even for children, was overly sexualised and how ridiculous it was. I believe he wrote an article to the company, berating them for encouraging sexualisation of girls, even at such a young age.

What happened to the "normal" underwear for teens from, well, the entire time before? I'd have thought most retailers would've continued selling those in parallel. :/

GALACTUS Posts: 1,659 Group: Elite Member #63 Joined: November 9, 2009	...I had a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to that comment until I remembered what a lady friend of mine was talking about once regarding breast support. From what she tells me corsets are actually better for support since you would have a lot more support than just the bra straps, which dig into your back constantly. It means showing off less skin, sure, but if we as a 'culture' weren't moving towards the raging teenage hormones level of sexualization that we are we could accept the possibility of women being more comfortable in day to day actions.

Each person has their own preference, I don't think there's a universal ideal for every person, as I've been told by others corsets can be incredibly uncomfortable and aren't practical for day to day use. Women with a smaller bust tend to prefer sports bras because there's less to support and it supposedly doesn't feel as uncomfortable. It's all subjective.
