Sure, I may look like I'm handling the situation perfectly fine on the outside if it were in public. But I'd just be losing my mind... in my mind. In the privacy of my own home? Nope, it'd be a total mess. Stroup also brings up a valid point. I don't think I'm any bit more entertaining a person. And I sure as hell would prefer someone be having fun if their job description entailed not making me feel bored/lonely for XX hours. I dunno, I guess part of me would consider it if it meant being able to hang out with someone of a similar mindset of my own. But if I wanted that, I've got at least two lady friends within a few hours of me that are pretty much free for hanging out at their house any time of the waking day. Definitely a 50/50 topic, here.

Many people don't ask to be in that position. Some genuinely want to make a living out of their company being enjoyed. I'm a nervous sort around strangers, I'm pretty awkward, and honestly if I were in a position where I became a ball of raging hormones and wasn't in a dedicated relationship I'm pretty sure at least one of my friends wouldn't mind helping me out. When I was in...oh about Junior High all the way to early college, I was incredibly judgemental about people's personal lives; I used to get bent out of shape when I saw someone smoke and there were times where I would passive aggressively show them how I felt, with a nasty dose of holier than thou attitude. The concept of homosexuality was something incredibly disturbing to me, but that's partially because I grew up in an environment where representatives of it were doing it wrong (it's a little off topic, but I can go into mundane detail about what that means, if you really want to know). The point is, it wasn't until I became a more permanent resident of the internet that I started becoming more open minded, plus growing the fuck up has that effect on you too. I mean, it's their lives, who am I to judge? What right do I have to tell people how to live their lives?

However, I'm of the opinion that hiring an escort is up to a given individual and that I have no right to judge them one way or the other. I myself probably wouldn't do so, but that's half because I'm miserly with my money most of the time, half because I'd rather spend that money on things I'd enjoy for sure. I guess it chalks up as an unnecessary expense to me, not necessarily something that's good or bad. It's not like I'm socially awkward though. I can and have held conversations with the opposite sex before, even one or two that's been on a one on one basis. Granted, if I start thinking about them as a female rather than a person, I'd probably trip up faster than a robot that just got hit with a logic bomb. So yeah, at its base it's that I don't see it as good or bad, it's just unnecessary to me.
