It's a neat concept to be sure, but I'm definently gonna have to see undoctored gameplay footage to make a proper judgement on it. Most of the time when someone makes a game boasting "soundtrack that adapts to gameplay in realtime", they actually mean "ambient background track with all the sound effects replaced by instruments regardless of context or rhythm", and that's fucking cheating. I think I noticed a few OCRemixers in the credits though, so if nothing else they're certaintly not going to be lacking in the music department regardless of whether it's as dynamic as they claim. |

Talk about a rather backwater cast of characters. The visual quality is all over the goddamned place too, and not necessarily in an endearing way..

I was going to say how I couldn't identify a single one of the characters on the main title but decided against it because I thought I may not have been that much into the indie scene as most people. I guess I wasn't off the mark then. >.> |

Actually, they were rejected to include Shovel Knight when they asked, and I have a few guesses why. When almost the entire fucking cast of your party racer is unknowns, there might be a clue to what the quality of those games were. This would also be a fucking licensing nightmare, too. It's too cruddy a project to want to be associated with, I'd think. |

I mean, you'd expect to see mainstays of the indie gaming scene like Steve?, Meatboy or Castle Crashers or something if you're going to do a massive indie crossover. None of these characters even look remotely familiar, like I've never even seen any of them in passing through Steam or anything. Who exactly are they trying to sell the game to, themselves? |

Egoraptor on Narration Starbomb - Band I'm calling BS that they even need a kickstarter for this. especially one with such a steep start. The lack of financial distribution info in the kickstarter, layed out stretch goals, empty risks section... Between Game Grumps and Starbomb, Egoraptor makes a generous fucking income from his shit. Then again, the very fact that he's remotely involved means the campaign's already reached almost 50% of the goal within the first day. There's a lot more focus on chiptuners than any other type of musicians too. My biggest concern is that this becomes Indie Game the movie 2: Another circlejerk boogaloo chipndip edition. |
