The Pokemon Origins has perked my interest mainly due to the fact that it is based off what Ash was SUPPOSED to have accomplished, His Mega Chardizard X only added to that.

Patrick, with all due respect, Red and Ash are totally different and seperate. Although based on the same concept, Red is more based on the player's perspective and follows the story closer to the original plot.

Sorry, it just bugs me that Ash is a sad manifestation of what Red actually is.

It's a four-episode-long commercial for Poke'mon X/Y. ;3

Still wicked awesome, though.

I just realised that, for some reason, it took me straight to the bottom of the page, so I missed it. Either way, just finished watching it and man, it felt so...right? Satisfying? Gratifying? I mean fuck, I wish this was a regular show, with the same budget so we can see badass battles like that. The music was incredible and there was just so much RIGHT about the entire thing that I really wish it was a keeper. It just went by too fast; four episodes is a great way to summarise a game that is essentially comprised of just walking around a map and doing odd jobs until you reach the end goal, but it felt like more could've been done with it.

I was a little bummed out that Blue and Yellow didn't make the cut, would've been interesting to see more interaction between people. Also, the whole scene with Giovanni in the gym seems to just add more foreshadowing to the fan theories about how he's actually Red's father.

The series was great. Should be it's own show, I agree.

However. I am a little wary of them saying...

Spoiler: click to toggle

I mean I know fanservice and all for the loveable Charizard, but come on. Gimme some canon tie-ins if your going to go that far Nintendo.

And Blue and Yellow were Manga characters, although I know the Manga follows the game, the Origins special followed the games plot as much as it could for the most part.

And he did father Silver, and that is canon to the games. So, yeah. I would HATE for him to actually be Red's father. It would mean that....Red.....is......Italian. lol.

I understand that they are different, when I was younger I didn't even know of Red and assumed Ash was gonna go exactly what Red accomplishes within the special.

I'm watching it right now and it seems pretty neat. Reminds me of the only pokemon game I've played a long time ago, though it really rushes through things. It really needed it's own series, because the current one lost its touch after season 2-ish. I used to like Ash's character, but he's become such a boring character in recent ones I've only caught a few episodes of. That series needs to die already, just let him become a master already...

I watched the subbed version on YouTube. It was quite good with what it showed.

I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???
