Remember MUGEN? That one fighting game engine that fans stole and modded the absolute cunting hell out of to get a crossover of virtually every known character under the sun? This dude run a continuous stream of computer VS computer MUGEN matches that people can bet fake money on, and it's fucking hilarious fun. Why? Because the characters themselves have literally no balancing guidelines, so half the fun is trying to predict who's more broken than the other. Oh, is that Super Saiyan Vegeta on one side? Welp, I'd better bet all my money on him, how could a Saiyan lose OH WAIT HE JUST GOT KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT BY A GENERIC BLACK CHICK. Badly recoloured SSJ4 Vegito's up? Well, DBZ characters already have a sour reputation of getting their asses handed to them because their AI wastes the whole match charging Ki without even blocking, so I've learned not to bet on them by now OH WAIT HE JUST DECIMATED THE FUCK OUT OF THE OTHER GUY WITH A SINGLE PUNCH. Ash from Evil Dead? Oh hey, I actually had this guy back when I still played MUGEN, but he had shit AI back then so I wouldn't put my money on him OH SHIT HE'S HAD A HUGE AI PATCH I'M REALLY FUCKED NOW. There's a few infamous classics in there too, like Zeeky H. Bomb, Ronald McDonald and yes, Rare Akuma, and even if you're not betting it's tons of fun just watching the stream, trying to make guesses of who's going to win next, and watching the chatroom absolutely fucking explode once the match ends. It's a great timewaster if you've got nothing important to do.    And remember, always bet Touhou. |
