Huge screenshot because PS4 resolution I've now mostly outfitted my guy with "item level 90" gear, save for the axe. So now my "average item level" is 83. The character/class/job level maxes at 50 (but will be increased in the first expansion, known only as patch 3.0) but the endgame gear goes way beyond that, all the way to around 110 as of the most recent major patch. So yea, I has good gear, but lots of other people have even better gear. |

'nother huge ass screenshot Ended up attacking three LV 32 Cork Bulbs with an AoE attack while playing with a friend. I was a level 24 Archer. All three of them attacked me at once. Guess what the outcome was? RIP, Luffy Foxtrot of Ragnarok. You were a dumbass for using Quick Nock on those guys. Also ended up saving a gameplay video while playing this, too. I kinda want to get a playthrough of Story Mode Titan saved as a gameplay video so Seecs can see the whole thing and see how the music really gets you all pumped up while fighting him, especially during the final phase. But I think it lasts a lot longer than 15 minutes. So to be successful, I'd have to try and save at least two videos and then edit them together or summin'. I could probably time a run first and see how long it would take on average, maybe. But that's not accounting for the chance of getting in with people who don't really it well, or are doing it for the first time. And streaming it probably won't work either. Or maybe it will. It'd probably get archived afterwards... maybe. I dunno. I just really want everyone to see how cool it is fighting Titan. Because it is an amazing fight. |

Las Vegas Fan Festival is now underway. First topic in the opening keynote? FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward, the full name of the version 3.0 expansion. Details are as follows: -Releasing Spring 2015 -Level cap increase to 60 for all classes, including Disciples of the Land and Hand. -New Jobs; the trailer focused on what appeared to be the new Job for Lancers. -Ishgard finally opens its doors and becomes explorable, in all its poor people hating glory. -New areas, too. -The main plot of Heavensward will be on the war between Ishgard and the Dravanian. Player characters will be a major force in the Dragonsong War. -And, of course, a new playable race. Yoshida joked about the new race being the Viagaa. That's about as much of the major stuff they revealed. More information will be disclosed during the London Fan Festival next week. |

This just in, according to members of my FC on Adamantoise: Two of the new Jobs are Dark Knight and Samurai. Dark Knight is most definitely the new Lancer Job while I'm expecting Samurai to be for Gladiators. Also according to FC peoples, as I haven't been able to watch the FanFest stream past the Keynote: Marriage system will follow after Patch 2.4. So, sometime in November, at the earliest? |

FanFest Las Vegas interview with Yoshida. Eternal Bond system is described by Yoshida as follows: -Each ceremony is allocated to a 2 hour window, which needs to be reserved a week in advance. Unlike with FFXI, the ceremonies won't be moderated by GMs. -All parties will be moved to the ceremony zone once thw window opens. Invitees will be taken to the main area, while the stars of the show (AKA the peeps getting married) will be first moved to separate areas to dress themselves up all fancy-like. -An NPC will be added that handles all the shit, so reserve your ceremony by talking to the NPC guy. -No in-game fees, but you will need to craft wedding rings. The first point about the 2 hour window is kinda confusing, but yea. Maybe someone else will figure it out from reading the full thing. I really need to get around to watching the whole stream. Hopefully before the London stream starts in a few days. |
