Three bodies have been found buried in the backyard of UK voice actress, Sian Blake. Sian and her two children have been missing since December 13th, 2015. The identities of the bodies have not yet been confirmed, but people are currently assuming the worst. Sian Blake has been lending her vocal talents as the character Yugiri since FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward released on June 23rd, 2015. |

So, the next big update for FINAL FANTASY XIV, known as Patch 3.2: The Gears of Change, is currently slated for release on February 23rd. The servers will likely be going down on Feb 22 for 24-hour global maintenence as a result. Here are the two developer live streams that were hosted to talk about the content that's being added: The full digest for Part 26 and the summary for Part 27 of the Letter from the Producer LIVE. Part 27 is only a summary as it was only streamed a few days ago and SE usually takes about a week or two to post the fully deciphered version. Here's the archived live stream for Part 27. So there's a lotta shit to consume, but one of the major things is the upcoming major overhaul for tank damage calculation. Namely that, starting with 3.2, the majority of damage dealt by tanks will be calculated through their Vitality stat instead of Strength. Similar to how Rogues and Ninja deal damage through Dexterity, despite being a physical melee class/job. This change is to address the issue that, while Vitality is considered the main stat for tanks, currently, a tank running a full VIT build just can't effectively hold enmity against really good DPS, no matter how good the tank is. So, most tanks have been opting for strength builds whenever they can do so, sacrificing a significant portion of their HP and putting more pressure on healers. In the same vein, Paladins are also getting more tweaks to hopefully put them at equal footing with Warriors and Dark Knights, since due to their abysmal damage output compared to other jobs, along with the stupidly strict DPS checks in the current high-end raid, Alexander: Gordias (Savage), Paladins just haven't been a reasonable option for most endgame content. Other changes include the addition of a new Allagan Tomestone, known as Tomestones of Lore, while Tomestones of Soldiery will be completely removed and Tomestones of Law (yep) will be phased out from level 60 content. And the new blue-tier gear obtained from either Lore tomestones or Midas will come with materia slots. ![]() In keeping with the naming of the new tomestones (Lore), the gear obtained in exchange for them also appears to be very heavily based on the various primals of Eorzea. So far, all we know is that the gear for pugilists and monks looks Ifrit-based, while the gear for rogues and ninja appears to be fashioned after Leviathan. Naturally, many of the game's dedicated casters are hoping to get Ramuh-styled gear. Finally, the new raid, known as Alexander: Midas, will be implemented. The Savage version will also be reduced in difficulty. While Gordias (Savage) was basically much more difficult than what a theoretical The Final Coil of Bahamut (Savage) would be, Midas (Savage) will instead be somewhere between the level of The Second Coil of Bahamut and the Final Coil of Bahamut. There's a lot more in those links up top, but I'm gonna stop before I make this wall of text any larger. |

The patch trailer, promotional teaser site and the full live letter digest have now been released. The Lore tomestone gearsets were outright confirmed during the live letter to be primal-themed and their overarching name is "Eikonic Attire," fashioned after the name that the Garleans use to describe Eorzea's primals. ![]() The themes that we know for certain are as such: -Pugilist/Monk - Hellfire Attire of Striking (Ifrit) -Lancer/Dragoon - Slipstream Attire of Maiming (Garuda) -Rogue/Ninja - Torrent Attire of Scouting (Leviathan) - So far, the gear for tanks, ranged dps and caster has only been teased within the patch trailer and not officially confirmed, but most people are starting to assume that they'll recieve pallette swaps of the Hellfire, Torrent and Hailstorm gear sets, respectively. From what they've managed to identify from the trailer, at least. Speaking of "Eikons," while the Garleans use the word to refer to Eorzea's primals at large, the word is actually borrowed from the Allagans. And they used it to refer to what the Eorzeans call the "Elder Primals," much more powerful entities. Currently, we know of the existence of five Eikons: Odin, Bahamut and the Warring Triad. Currently the Warring Triad have been sealed away by the Allagans for a while, much like with Bahamut being sealed within Bahamut, but due to events that took place during the Heavensward story, the seals have begun to weaken. Patch 3.2 will see the first member of the Warring Triad break free from its shackles: The Fiend, Sephirot. Also known as the ugly bastard that you see in the video thumbnail, as well as during the first bit of the trailer at large. Edited by Luffy Foxtrot, Feb 13 2016, 08:44 AM.

Not entirely, but upon doing some research on the bastard, with his incarnation in FINAL FANTASY VI, known as Fiend, the original concept art had him named as Sefirosu, in romaji. I can't seem to get the katakana in properly. This translates into Sephiroth, but it seems it may be more intended to be linked to the Hebrew term. Also, the game has a lot of cases of world evolution/things changing in appearance with each patch. With each of A Realm Reborn's patches, the settlement of Revenant's Toll in Mor Dhona constantly expanded and had new things added. With Heavensward, they're doing the same to a small section of the city-state of Sharlayan that was abandoned in years prior (choosing to omit any more details because minor spoilers.) Within the same area, there is also the primal Alexander, who, as the trailer showed, will continue to crawl forth from the waters of the Thaliak River until he looks like this: Alexander Although, that may just be what his appearance in 3.2 will be. The concept art gives a much more sinister vibe. ![]() For comparison, here's Alexander as is right now: ![]() Full size The most recent example is that of the Warring Triad themselves. As shown from the gallery images at the bottom of this page, the statues of the Triad have started to show severe wear as of Patch 3.15. Particularly, nature overgrowths, likely linked to Sephirot himself, as he is worshiped by a race of tree-people. Chances are the remaining two statues will show similar wear as we learn more about the demon and the goddess. Edited by Luffy Foxtrot, Feb 13 2016, 08:42 AM.

FFXIV and PSO2 are crossing the streams. No word on what FFXIV is getting. PSO2, meanwhile, will have a boss battle against Odin, as well as Miqo'te-inspired costumes. |

I'm inclined to say that XIV won't get anything solely on the basis that PSO2's English localisation is basically dead in the water. But then again, there was that Dragon Quest X crossover event way back when. |

Maintenance for Patch 3.25 is set to commence in just over an hour. Adjustments to the Anima Weapon Saga are expected. At the very least the dev team did say they'd be making changes to the current step(s) but they should be adding a new thing, too. No idea for certain. |

Patch notes are live. No adjustments to current relic, but a new step has been added, which will reward you with a "hyperconductive" anima weapon, which sits at item level 230. Also new chocobo racing stuff and adjustments to The Feast, the most recent PvP mode. In accordance with said adjustments, season one of the competitive league has been delayed an extra two weeks. |

A new mount has been added to the optional item shop in the Mog Station.![]() ![]() ![]() The Bennu mount is based off of the enemy of the same name within Turn 3 of The Final Coil of Bahamut and plays the music from the same instance. It is an account-wide mount, just like Sleipnir and costs EUR 16.80 or US$24. |
