Yes. Certain instances of the primal battles have a chance to drop weapons in their likenesses. The battle against Good King Moggle Mog XII has chances to drop Moogle-styled weapons. |

I KNOW RIGHT? Also, most of the weapons can be upgraded into a stronger version that glows.  The upgraded versions from Ifrit, Titan, Garuda and Moggle Mog can be obtained through crafting, but that results in the weapons costing over a million gil if you want to buy them from other players. Other weapons (Leviathan and Shiva) just require running the instance for particular items. Shiva requires five clears for each weapon, as you need five Diamond Dusts and everyone gets one for each clear at a 100% drop rate. Leviathan could potentially require more as only one Mirror of the Whorl drops, if at all, which everyone can roll on. Ramuh, quite strangely, does not have enhanced versions of his weapons. Time for more screenshots! Yes, there is also Odin gear in this game. This is the gear that was available day one, which can only be obtained by trading special drops (known as Odin's Mantle) with an NPC at Revenant's Toll in Mor Dhona. Said drop is only rewarded upon defeating Odin himself, in his special FATE "Steel Reign". Said FATE only appears once every few days, can appear anywhere within the Black Shroud's zones and is not displayed on the map at all. It's easy to know when it does start, though, as the entirety of the Black Shroud changes to the "Tension" weather state for the entire length of the FATE. Here's an idea of what the weather looks like The little shield, however, was a recent addition with the Gold Saucer. So you need to trade 10,000 MGP in order to obtain that. Also, since the Odin armour from the torso down is all a single piece of armour, it can't actually be glamoured. It is 100% vanity gear with no opportunities to use it outside of shits and giggles. There are, however, other pieces of Odin gear that can be glamoured. Unfortunately, they are only a reward for clearing his instanced trial, Urth's Fount, which is significantly harder. I've only cleared it twice and have yet to get anything from it.  You can even get a Sleipnir mount! Assuming you're willing to fork out the $25 to purchase it off the Mog Station store. That is the only way to get it.    And then minions. These three are obtained from the Gold Saucer for 20,000 MGP apiece. I was trying to save up for one of the two mounts you can get (Fenrir for one million MGP; an adamantoise for 200,000) but I gave in to temptation. |
