Yeah Metalocalypse's storyline at the end was getting weird. I mean, I like it when they either take it seriously or not, it's a cool change of pace and keeps it fresher than using the same formula over and over. Adventure Time does the same exact thing.

Yeah, see, I can get why Adventure Time's fanbase enjoys it, even though I can't stand the show. It has its merits and is made for a specific kind of audience and isn't just outright ridiculous to the point where it's unwatchable. The shows on Adult Swim though, I don't see the appeal at all.

Think Adventure Time.

With tits and violence.

If Adventure Time had tits and violence, I would get it, it still has a..."THING", I'm just not sure what it is because I can't explain it.

I haven't even watched Adventure Time because I hate the art style.

I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

I also hate that cheap looking doodle style of animation that every other show is using these days, but Regular Show, which uses a similar style is probably one of the my favourite shows because I manage to look past that style and enjoy the actual content.

Regular Show at least feels polished instead of "Oh First draft, this looks good."

It does have violence, just not blood. Finn slices a dragon-thing from its butt-crack to its head with a sword, people die, including basically the whole world. And there's a ton of implied sexual innuendo (sacked my nut castle, ect).

Every time I watch regular show, I feel like I pretty much know what's going to happen. They're going to break the rules on how something should be done... out comes a giant monster out of nowhere, and now the only way to stop it is by somehow righting their wrong. This is the formula for 90% of the episodes.

Except I watch it for the fun 80's references, geek culture and funny moments between the characters. The show is extremely formulaic to the point where I start pointing out loud when something's going to happen.

Really, the actual plot of each Regular Show episode is pretty damn shallow. Hell, the show's tagline is pretty much a spoiler for every episode that will ever air. The stuff that happens as an aside, like what Seeco mentioned, is the stuff that actually matters.

Personally, my favourite moments are when Mordecai beats up Rigby. I'm not a big fan of it otherwise. And I just don't care at all for Adventure Time.

Going back to Comedy Central:

They're starting to notice their own irrelevance. My web ads and TV have been flooded with "Inside Amy Schumer" promos that promise skin and embarrassing stories.

Looks like there'll be a Futurama / Simpsons crossover at some point. And in other news, there will also be a Family Guy / Simpson Crossover. Should be interesting.
